Gentlemen, I am facing an issue where I get a weird anomaly which happens just before cruise. First my mouse pointer when clicked doesn't do anything but simulation runs. Within a few seconds nothing is clickable even items out of the simulator scope. I get sounds like 'TOK' when pressing the left mouse button. I see this problem in both 737 NGX and 777. I recently upgraded to P3DV3. Yes I have followed the steps in making sure that no other aircraft is loaded before the pmdg aircraft. I tried this with full screen as well as window mode. The issue is consistent. My PMDG fleet is now grounded. Note: This happens only when airborne. On ground its fine. Simulat…

I'm wondering where people are getting their takeoff performance data from, particularly in terms of derates. I have forever and ever used TOPCAT, but as a result am limited on being able to get data sets for all aircraft. It has the right airframe/engine combo for the 737-800WL and 777-200, but I'm missing the right combinations for the rest of the NGX fleet and have been holding out on getting the 777-300 since I don't know where to get takeoff performance data. I know that the real data is pretty locked down, but I was wondering if there are new apps or something out there that I'm missing that could fill in the blanks for me. I'm not set on it being 100% accur…

I'm surprised no one has asked yet, but now that we know DTG plans 2 new offerings, including what appears to be a 64bit FSX replacement. How do you guys at PMDG see this? While a 64bit flight sim is what we all been waiting for, I know this really complicates matters for the 3rd party developers like you guys. You already support 3 32bit platforms (FSX, FSX-SE and P3D) and starting to get into X-Plane. Now having another FSX based platform this one 64bit to deal with is going to complicate development and support. So assuming DTG doesn't throw up any insurmountable obstacles like MS did with Flight, are you planning on supporting this platform as well? Tom Cain

Hello knowing community, I made the tactical mistake and updated my nvidia driver to the version 361.75. Now I have a slight moiré on the displays and the weather is partly displayed as rectangular plateau, better said, it is a graphical artefact. I was trying to follow Ryans instruction on how to setup this driver properly, but this new driver does feature completely different functions or I am simply a bit thick. Additionally I fiddled around with the DX10 fixer 3.2.3, which did not change anything on the night textures of the sceneries I really fly often into, so I disabled DX10-preview again. If one merciful soul out there should have a solution for th…

Hi, A few days ago, I reinstalled my PMDG 737NGX and 77LR. I have no problem with running and flying with both of them however my PMDG Operation Center appears not properly. It does not show me the RIGHT side of its tab so I am unable to add new repaints. So, I reinstalled it again, but there is no difference. I would like to upload pictures but I do not know how to upload pictures. I am using Windows 10, but it had worked properly in my computer before I reinstall. Thanks. ㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡ I ㅣ I ㅣ I …

Mr. RS Randazzo, Sir I have been a PMDG fan for years now, and I can't remember, but I believe in one of either your many post and/or videos, that you indicated from your Professional Aviation history, that you were a United Airlines Pilot. If I am wrong then forgive me. As I grew up in the military I was lucky enough to have flown on Pan Am, TWA, and United back in the day of the huge logo on tail. I was both very sad and disappointed, when the company choose to depart from its lineage of the Tulip and instead stick with the Continental logo. While watching TV the other night I saw a show that had, what at the time I thought to possibly be a new paint scheme. After …

In P3D V3, it might be possible that the reason the VC doesn't respond to the mouse on occasion, requiring a manual re-isntallation of Simconnect, is because of the ORBX installers. I've noticed a pattern this week that my PMDG VCs are working fine and then they suddenly stop working, always right after the install of a new ORBX scenery. Once the simconnect is manually re- run and re-installed, everything is fine. There must be something that the ORBX installer does to Simconnect that alters it for PMDG. Anyone else notice this, or is it just my set up? Otherwise, everything is working great. Just a thought to look into...

Hi All, Sorry if this is a noob question or if it's been covered before, but can someone shed some light on the meaning of the different types of approaches in terms of the FMC? This is more AIRAC related I suppose and definately not PMDG specific, but I'm hoping that someone here would shed some light on this for me... For example, when flying to NVVV I have a LOC, RNV, and VDM approach in the FMC. Other airports, have ILS (the obvious one), I've seen VDB, etc... There's so many abbreviations here (coming from AIRAC I suppose), which seems to be for exactly the same thing? I know some are VOR approaches, some are VOR/NDB approaches, some are obviously ILS …

I understand that PMDG will not model the EFB in the 777 and 747-8. Instead of leaving the EFB place vacant in the 747-8, PMDG can at least use the EFB as a graphical load manager and fuel manager with diagrams that show seating chart, fuel load distribution etc.. This looks visually better than loading fuel and passengers thru FMC. I'm just comparing with what i've seen in X-plane aircraft like SSG 747-8. Also, in SSG 747-8, when you zoom in all the way on the ND, you can see the airport layout.. will this feature be available in PMDG 747-8 v2? Vinod Kumar.

hey guys, So i did a system restore the other day just to wipe everything and start fresh. Today i installed the ngx and 777 200 and the 300 addon for P3D. Now normally when i do this for the first time, once i click the aircraft it asks me for my licence key. This time for all PMDG aircraft i chose it went straight into the flight. When i got to the cockpit, the gauges are all black, you cant click anything. In the NGX you can hear the engine sounds but in the 777 you cant hear anything. Anyone know what i may have done? Edit - Would the problem be because of sim connect? Cause when i go to start up Vplilot i get this error message - Could not initia…

I purchased PMDG 737 NGX (Windows) on 08-31-2012 from J&R 59-21 Queens-Midtown Expwy, Maspeth, N.Y. 11378. It was billed to my Amazon Account. I later purchased the Expansion Pack directly from the PMDG website. I was able to download the update: SP1 for the Expansion Pack, but since I did not purchase the Base Package directly from the PMDG website I am unable to download the update for it. I hope that I do not have to repurchase the Base Package to update. Can someone advise me regarding this matter? Asshur S. Lazar

Sorry in advance for the lack of pictures, but I've been chastised before for keeping the flight deck lights extremely low when flying, so I opted not to take any. Plus, I forgot the X-Plane shortcut for screenshots anyway I'll try to grab some on upcoming flights. Even if the panel is dark, the X-Plane night lighting on the ground is a sight to see. Last Friday, Boston (ZBW), New York (ZNY), and Washington (ZDC) all had an event for their respective major airports. At first I was going to take a 737 out of LGA or BOS, but I wanted a little more of a challenge. Seeing that the DC-6 is about the most complex aircraft that I have in my virtual hangar, I got to pla…

Hi everyone, I haven't been on the forum for a long time, but I decided to step out and start a new topic, as I decided to try myself at livery design. For now I love working pictures on a MacBookPro running on OSX El Capitan. And I was wondering if FSX and PMDG livery designing would be possible on a Mac. PhotoShop exists and is available for Mac for instance, and as I work a lot on Mac, that would be great if I could design liveries on this laptop. Any suggestion, ideas, or advice would be really much, much appreciated. On another side I'm getting bored of seeing always the same liveries made over and over again for the same airlines/aircraft (The Lufthan…

Hi chaps, Kyle has told us in previous posts that the circuit breakers will be implemented in the DC6 and I'm sure I remember him or Rob saying that CBs can't be implemented in FSX/P3D. I am really interested in how the PMDG renditions are designed and made and I just wondered what exact technical aspects allow CBs to be implemented in xplane but not the others. To put it in infantile terms, what does Xplane have that the other sims don't that allow CBs to work? There have been circuit breakers in other FSX/P3D products but knowing PMDG, they will have refused to replicate those on account of the fact that they're somehow not accurate enough, but why is that? What is …

Posted Today, 06:13 PM Hi, I have just installed the FSLabs Concorde v1.3 into Prepar3Dv3.1. Installation went ok and all looked good when I loaded the Concorde. However, whenever I try to load PMDG NGX or 777 the sim stops working just before the initialization phase. I get a message saying that Prepar3D has to shutdown. Before the Concorde installation I had the sim running very nicely. I then tried uninstalling the PMDG NGX and then reinstalling it. I now get a message saying 'Installation cannot continue. Your registry does not show a valid Prepar3D installation location' I can only conclude that something during the Concorde installation has messed up the re…

I've bulked up my system enough that I can run Prepar3d v2.5 and v 3.1 on the same machine (though not at the same time ). I already installed the 777 and 737 NGX in 3.1. Now I am trying to install in 2.5 and all I get is a dialog asking if I want to modify, repair or replace my existing installation. The different versions of P3D are installed on separate drives. The reason I want to install on both versions is I have other add-ins (mostly scenery) that only work in 2.5. When (and if) all my add-ins catch up to 3.1 then I'll ditch the 2.5 but for now I need the older version for some flights. Is there a way to install the PMDG aircraft in both versions of P3D?

I was looking in the PMDG operations center and I saw a drop down for the JS4100 for SE. I clicked on it and allowed me to purchase it but when I go to install it I get a message that the installation can not continue. Your registry does not show a valid FSX installation location. What do I need to do to fix this? I run the other PMDG aircraft just fine. Thanks, Brent Kolar

Hello everyone, As the title indicates, I'm wondering of this feature is available for the NGX now. I've read a post from Robert saying it would be available at some point. I own the NGX for FSX but I'm now on ped v2.5 and I'm considering getting the NGX again. I've read about the feature for the 777 and it seems quite neat for someone like me that can't spend long on a single flight I'm also really considering the 777 or 747v2 because of that feature. Ah finally the joys of long haul! Antoine Bidartarra
