I just installed the latest windows security update, KB 4056894 and net framework update 4074880 and my i5 2320 seems to be working much harder with P3D than it did before update. Anyone else notice this. I wonder if this is part of the problem that was announced a couple of weeks ago with the Intel Processors. I think I will roll his update back and not install any more updates.Can't afford a new PC .

hi all: I continue to have issues with my microsoft force feedback joystick. USB version. turning on an amp in the computer room, causes the joystick to disconnect, then it may reconnect on its own, a few seconds later. sometimes I have to plug it back in myself. I have tried all ports on my computer. both 2.0 and 3.0 Also, many times when I plug another usb device in, the joystick also will disconnect. I cannot figure out how to resolve this issue. any advice would be appreciated. -stampee

Hi all: I have had odd issues the past month with my win7 4700k 1060 gt video card. 16 gig system memory, 6 gig video ram. 1) starting prepar3d v4.1 3 weeks ago, I suddenly got out of system memory messages. I never had them before, I deleted the p3d.cfg file and it starts fine. then I add in higher settings, and the next restart I get oom. This issue suddenly went away on its own. now for the past week, I can start p3d as usual and no oom issues. 2) constant joystick disconnects from the usb port. it dings disconnect, then reconnects on its own. this problem continues and I have tried various ports, both usb2.0 and usb3.0 3) last week my file …

Grateful for any help please: I have installed FS9 successfully onto my C:/ drive (non 86) in Windows 7 Pro, but am unable to install scenery add-on software using Installshield. We have no choice but to use the version of Installshield provided, but it partially operates and then hangs before cancelling itself out. Can anyone help me to find a way to install my FS9 add-on software on the Windows 7 Pro OS please? Thanks in advance for any advice offered. Marwel

Hello all: I just gained a terrible bug, I am not sure what is wrong with my system. when I run programs that create directories on my computer they finish with no errors, but no directories or files are created either. I tried two different new programs now. I tried 3 different harddrives on my system, and tried using my own directory names and using the programs default directory creation. I dont know if I have a virus or hardware crashing, or something wrong with my motherboard harddrive controller or what. I can manually create and move files normally. I run as administrator, and have even turned off my comodo anti virus as well to no avail. I also have…

Hi I have a general question that I wonder if i can have some advice on, I am not really sure what setting i should have my windows 7 update set to or should I even turn it off? At the moment my system is up to date as of 02nd Sept 2016 ( the last time i used my flight sim rig) My system is running pretty well and last thing I want to do is have problems with it, am the moment mainly use FSX but also dabling with P3D. many thanks Daz

This windows update appears to be stopping my PC from booting properly when it is installed. I thought that I had stopped it from installing a few days ago, but nothing seems to be working. I have stopped automatic Windows 7 downloads and updates, but the OS starts installing it as soon as I shutdown the PC. I guess this is because KB31777723 is already stored on my hard disk? So, my question is......where do I find this update? I want to remove it completely, so that Windows does not try to install it ever again! On a side note, this is classed as an important update. Having an interesting but frustrating time with my new TV monitor. 43" Vizio. After a while flying the screen suddenly blacks out and then restores itself. This can happen every few seconds or minutes apart. The screen goes black for a second then restores itself. I did a google search on this topic and found I am not alone but the solutions provided were not that technical nor made any sense. Most suggesting taking the TV back and getting a replacement, yet this did not solve the problem. I am running Win7 Professional. I am using a 43" TV monitor and a Samsung computer monitor. Both hooked up to my video card via HDMI. Both running 1920x1080. Any suggests…

H Guys, I have developed an issue with my sound...I think I can trace it back to when I replaced the battery on my motherboard as that reset the bios. When I start up the PC I have full sound for about 10 mins and then without warning it goes very quiet...As if somebody turned it down...I am left scratching my head as I have checked all settings and they are fine... Has anybody any ideas or suggestions as without decent sound it ruins the immersion factor. Thank you Dave

Hello, I've run into a strange issue a few days back. To provide some background information, my computer (not my simming computer) has always run perfectly fine except for some stutters occasionally. The screen would randomly freeze for about a sec or less and the audio would make kind of a shrieking noise. Happened sometimes when watching YouTube videos and, though much more seldom, while playing games. Annoying but I never thought about it. Now a few days back while playing a game I've played for years without any issue, all of a sudden my computer froze a couple minutes after starting the game. Twenty minutes into a flight from Birmingham (EGBB) to Ponta Delgada (LPPD) in Concorde my flight sim machine suffered a BSOD with BAD_POOL_HEADER shown as the cause. Sim is P3D v3.4. Computer specs in sig, It appears to be memory related. On 8 June I replaced my existing RAM with two new Crucial sticks mainly as preparation for P3D v4. When I first booted it up after replacing the memory I noticed a LED code on the mobo - A0 which equates to IDE initialization is started but despite leaving the BIOS alone this doesn't seem to have been an issue. I'm running Win 7 64 bit and was having startup issues. Fixed by: Start Button > Clic 'Games' (above Control Panel) > Clic 'Options' (Set up Games Folder Options) > Choose 'Never check online for updates' and also, uncheck 'Download art and info ...', and uncheck 'Collect most recently played ...' then clic 'OK'. Now my Fs9 starts first time with no loading of rundll32.exe or gameux.dll. Hope this helps you too.

Just recently my start up has been pausing causing the mouse cursor to disable for about thirty seconds. Then I I hear two of the sounds that you hear when adding or disconnecting a USB. Then all works fine. The only hardware that I have altered was to do away with a Logitech headphone and add a Logitech speakers and Sub. It has a single entry into the speaker receptacle and not a USB. It only happens if I shut down the computer. Does not do it if I do a restart. It would seem to me that one of the USB items that uses computer power is hanging up. Hope that makes sense. I am hoping that I can eliminate the problem by removing each of the devices one by one to see…

Well like the title says, I recently bought a SSD drive and decided to format my old drive and restart from scratch. I got my sytem Up and running again and I must say that after following the install guide I have never been more happy with my flight sim. BUT I have bben unable to complete a flight. Since the redo I have tried to do a flight from OMDB-KDFW using the PMDG777. I made it to final and my system crashed to desktop. I tried another flight from KDEN-KOKC and made it 10 min from KDEN and same thing. I have the uiautomationcore fix on my system and still no joy. I am at a loss at this point and do not want to try another flight until I get this fixed. Please help …

The subject line pretty much says it all. The other day I was going through my list of programs to see if there is anything that needed to be uninstalled and I noticed that FSX is in my list of programs. I used FSX briefly about 2 years ago and uninstalled it, so I don't know how or why it is there. I right clicked it and selected uninstall but I get an error message that client does not exist. If it doesn't exist then why is it there? Any ideas how I can remove this entry? Thanks. Todd

I fly from medium sized addon airports to similar throughout Western Europe. The programs and data are spread over 1) SSD system drive C: 120 gb 2) SSD program and some scenery files on drive D: 450 gb 3) Photoscenery on SSD drive E: 250 gb and 4) The bulk of the Photo scenery files on hard drive F: 1 TB. In all about 2 TB on my Windows 7 flightsim computer. Backing up files is now a nightmare. I use Paragon 2015 backup utility which is just about OK for the smaller disks but the 1 TB fill…

I'm using a second, smaller screen as an EFB for charts, to look at my flight plan and to do my takeoff calculations in TOPCAT while in the sim. However, the P3D sound stops whenever I click on something in the smaller screen which, I know, is obvious since I'm switching applications. I just find this a bit annoying and am wondering if there's a way to keep the sound on when making selections on the smaller screen.

Since I built my computer a number of years ago i have added a new video card and also 2 x 250 Samsung EVO SSD's which run FSX-SE and P3D. I now want to add another SSD with 512GB capacity and move Windows 7 from my Cavair Black HDD to the SSD that now holds FSX (it will be gonzo the minute FSL releases the A320 for P3D). P3D will be moved to the new 512 SSD and I believe that will require a complete reinstall. No my question is this: Should I just move Windows following the instructions found many places on the net or wide the entire thing and start over ? Hi to all There is no forum for 2002 but I have a new computer running WIN7. For the moment, I am just running this FS before trying the Steam FSX. Every time I create a flight and select airport then select parking, the programme starts on active runway. Never had this problem when running 2002 in XP. Hi About two years ago I installed Windows 7 Ultimate 64 in my system. After installation I fully updated the Windows , installed FSX and went to Windows "Update Settings" in Control Panel and selected " Do not check for updates".Then I took a drive image of both C & D drives. Next I installed my various addons and did not update Windows again. My system and FSX have been running well . Two days ago I decided to go with a semi fresh installation of FSX . I restored my Windows to the mentioned drive image. After restoration both Windows and FSX worked great. Then I went to Control Panel to check for updates. Hi When I boot up Win 7 takes me to my usual log in page with my name, but when I put my password in I get "The Group Policy Client service failed the login. Access is denied." That's it, can't get any further. I would appreciate any help to get into my computer.
