Hey all,I was wondering if there were any issues with the Radeon 9700 Pro AIW and the Nvidia Nforce2 chipset as found on the Asus A7N8X? I'm getting a 9700 any day now (waiting for the UPS guy) and I'm just curious as to any issues I may have. Thanks!

Hello all!Quick question: Is there any way possible using a PC to get the RW sound to go to a headset with microphone and the engine/fs sound to go out of the speakers on my computer?? This is more the way real airline pilots hear things (radio only in the headsets) and I'm just looking to make things a little more realistic. Just curious what hardware I'd need or if it's even possible...Thanks in advance,Marchttp://vatsim.pilotmedia.fi/statusindicato...tor=OD1&a=a.jpg

Greetings All,I am considering buying the above Compaq as my upgrade of my Gigabyte GA-7TXVE motherboard didn't work out. I had a Athlon XP1700+ (512mb, VIA KT266a chipset, 300 watt power supply, SoundBlaster Audigy. I flashed the BIOS to the latest version and upgraded to an 2100+ processor.Unfortunately while the computer runs most applications ok it refuses to run my 64 MB GeForce2 TI for newer DirectX games (read FS2002, CBFS2, FS2000). Via 4in1 drivers, power supply, BIOS Version, SoundBlaster card, etc is not the problem. 2D and old DirectX games appear to be ok. I even did a clean install of Windows 98SE and software to no avail. Tried DirectX 8.0a and 8.1b and dif…

Hi I love flying at resolutions of 1600 x 1200 in 32 Bit, but unfortunately FS2K2 will only let me fly up to 1600 x 900 which looks odd! My CRT Screen 24" will allow me to go up to 1900 x 1440, so is there a way round this, and why won't FS2K2 recognise this.Although I can fly in 16 bit, the panel (PIC B767) bleeds through to show a lego brick effect, (43.45 Drivers) is there any way round this?(Seems to be the same on all other drivers too!)Many thanks and best Wishes,Happy Flying!ChrisEGBBWin XP AMD 3000Geforce 4 Ti 4600

Help please...In the midst of an evenings flying some of my keys decided not to work in FS2002!specifically the ones that do "important" things like open and close throttle, open the ATC window and change views in the simulator and also switch sound on and off!oddly enough if I open the ATC window using the dropdown menu the numeric numbers along the top work!!!does anyone have any possible reason for this problem? In addition any idea of a fix would be great.areas I have proven so far that won't fix it are:-1 NUM LOCK key2 ALT repetitive use3 Restart of FS2002cheers Ian

I have a Logitech optical mouse that constantly flickers in FS2002 when active which also causes stuttering. When inactive the stuttering stops and the flight is as smooth as silk. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem and found a fix? I do not experience this problem with any other game or application. (I posted this in the hardware forum but didn't get any replies there so far, so I'm trying my luck here. :-))Tonight I set myself up to fly on VATSIM for the first time in a while, and after over an hour of planning (my saved route apparently had become obsolete with the new AIRAC cycle... :-roll) I called up Ground to get my IFR clearance, only to find that ATC couldn't hear me. :-( I tested the mic in Roger Wilco - no sound. I tested it in the Windows sound recorder (not sure what its name is in English: the most basic, "default" sound recording program). Nothing recorded there either, just background static.I ruled out the microphone itself as the cause of the problem…

Installed a new motherboard: SOYO SY-P4X400 Dragon Ultra and XGX G4Ti4200AGP8x with appropriate driver. No video on monitor. Monitor self check OK. Removed Ti4200 and installed a 64 MB PCI video card. It works OK. Motherboard has warning at AGP slot "for 1.5 volt AGP only". Can't find voltage rating for the card in any of the mfgr literature and XFX doesn't answer my e-mail for support.I know a lot of you use the Ti4200 and I have read the posts. Do you know if this is a 1.5 or 3.3 volt card? Thanks in advance. Rod

Since moving from the Athlon 2100+ to the 2800+ my system has begun to experience lockups. Here are some of my specs:Upgraded heatsink and fan (copper based for the 2800+300 Watt powersupplyASUS KT400 512MB SDRAMNVidia GeForce4 4200+The ony things I changed was the CPU and heatsink and fan, but I never used to experience lockups, now I do, and it just seems to be with FS2002 about 30 to 45 minutes into it.My CPU and MB temps are right about where they should be, so I don't think heat is an issue. Do you think that maybe my 300 watt power supply is limiting me? Do you think that is what is causing the lockups? Any other ideas? Thanks,Robb

Hi all,I have recently purchased a TFT screen which is connect on my dual output of my NVidea Geforce 4 460MX. When my screen has a lot of white (e.g. flying in the clouds) my ATC sometimes starts to speak very slowly (like an old 78 rpm record played on 33). This problem seems not be connected with disk swap or frame rate changes. Any idea? Some help to solve this weard problem would be appreciatedCheers

I have a older yoke that uses the gameport, and I've recently gotten a new PC that does not have this. I've tried a Adapter, but it totally screwed up the buttons(ex:actually pressing one button would cause the PC to show that several other buttons were being pressed). Is there some way I can add a a gameport port onto my new computer because I really don't want to buy another yoke.
