Hi All,I have been using TrackIR for a while now and I enjoy it very much. However, today I was cleaning up the cables behind my PC and by mistake I plugged the TrackIR USB plug in a different port than before. No issues you would normally think. However, now when I move my head to the left, TrackIR thinks I go the right. When I go the right, he thinks I go the left. Upwards and downwards go fine.I am using TrackIR with the Vector Expension. It has been running great for a couple of months until today.I have reinstalled the software a couple times. The device is standing on my screen with 0degrees adjustments. Would appreciate your help!

HelloUnder the start button on the face of my computer are two lights. The first is a button bulb that lights up green, and under this light is another button bulb that sometimes shows red. Under this red bulb is the computer reset button. My question is: what is the red light telling me for the second button bulb (the one above the reset button)?ThanksEd

Hi all,I'm using a Dell Dimension 8250, 2.8 gig Pentium 4. Have 1024 mgs of Ram, and of course, I am looking for the very best smoothness and frame rates possible in my favorite sim, FS9. I have the OC version of the Nvidia 6800GT card (256Mg)and I run my monitor resolution at 1280 X 1024.Please tell me what AA and AF settings you are most successful using. I've tried many combinations, and I can't be sure which is the best compromise of performance and quality. I have the very latest Nvidia drivers (71.84)which I feel SHOULD be the best. Right?Look forward to your comments.

I have never used AMD's before.. But I am considering it seriously this time.I configured two system at Alienware 1. an AMD Athlon 3500+ system (Aurora 7500) and 2. an Intel Pentium 4 processor 550/HT system (Area 51-5550) the Total $'s the same around $2600 with all other configuration like Video card, HD etc very similar. But when I used their "Compare your PC to Alienware" thingi on their site.. This is compare what I am ordering with my old PC (a Dell Pentitum 4 with 2 Ghz). I get a much better perforance boost with option 2. an Intel chip. the Aurora 7500 does better than my old system only marginally.Whats wrong with their math?I don't get it.http://www.alienware.…

Does anyone know if FS2002 or 2004 will take advantage of dual processors? An IT guy I know advised me that even though the operating system may take advantage of two processors the software must be capable as well or it would be wasted expense. Thanks!Roger

Since Omega recently announced that he might cease his driver modding work I decided to move over to another choice. I've tried the UniAN's a few times and was always pleased with them. They introduced their latest set of modded CATs based on the 5.3's. I've been testing them in the sim for the past couple of hours and am quite happy with them. They run very smooth on my system. No quirky stuff going on, just a good driver package.Get them here. Scroll down to the "UniAN Download" and click on "UniAN Catalyst v 1.1.53"Greg

I have a problem with my pc. What happens is that when the pc boots and after the welcome screen when the desktop appears and halfway loading the start-up programs the monitor blacks out and comes on again. I have tried other graphics card drivers but still the same problem. At the moment I am using the nVidia 71.84 driver.I have a P4 3.2Ghz 1 GBRam PCI Express card GeForce PCX5900. In any case I did reformat and reinstalled XP pro and to my suprise the problem is still there. I gave up now I don't know what to do and where to look. I also installed the Omega drivers but still no go. My card is only 5 months old. What I have also noticed is that every time I try to copy a…

I just realized my new 3.8Ghz PC doesn't have hyperthreading enabled but even so FS9 runs amazingly well with great fps. Is it worth enabling hyperthreading for FS2004? What will it--or should it--do?Appreciate advice, thanks!JS

I just upgraded from a SB live Value to a Audigy 2 value sound card. Now sometimes when I load up fs9 it sounds like I'm in a empty room. I can't figure out what's wrong. Any music I play is fine, and if I open up the wave file in windows explore they sound just fine. I'm running fs9.1, directx 9c and my other spects are below. It doesn't happen all the time, it's like every other time. And it happens where I run anyother addon like FsMeteo. I use Flight1 Meridian which I love - but have a problem. Using auto-pilot, the auto-trim is constantly is engaging (no problem there)- but the sound level of the movement is WAY too loud in proportion to all other sounds of the flight. It sounds like sandpaper on metal each time it engages. I have Dell P4, Creative Audigy soundcard - have experienced no other problems with any other software. Have adjusted all the sound flight controls in FS9 to no avail. Is there not some way to lower the level of this sound feature?I'm buffaloed! ANY help or advice would be most appreciated!Uvalde Al

as oppossed to graphics chips manufacturers, i am going to get a new graphics card and have deciced on the 6600GT (unless anyone an get me a 6800GT for a similar price). i have found 2 likely candidates at the right price, but i wonder which would be the best deal should i go for the Gigabyte card or the Novatech, the later wins on specs but the former has more software (which i probably will not use). to be honest when buying a graphics card only the hardware is important, even a driver disc is often ell out of date by the time the card is shipped and the games/utlities supplied are usually old stock that if you wanted it you probably already have it. other than the colo…

Fellow simmers, two days ago I got so annoyed by endless stutters and tweaking, so I swapped the old GeForce TI4200 with a Sapphire Radeon 9800 Pro Atlantis. (The card is a bit old, but the best buy at the moment if you don't wanna spend more than about $200.)Then I spent almost TWO DAYS getting this new card to work. I did everything possible except reinstalling os/sim. I tried drivers downloaded from Sapphire, ATI and DNA, all versions from 5.1 to 5.3, every possible settings with the same result: Fantastic performance ... for about five minutes. After those five minutes things were more different; freeze, ctd, total blank out, with or without strange sound-loops followi…
