I am thinking to update my windows 8.1 to windows 10 Do fs2004 works on win 10? If not; What should I do to works on win 10 64 bit

All of a sudden, I find that everything in my FS 2004 is locked in "Read-Only" mode. I go through the steps to "uncheck" and apply, but when I click on OK...it jumps back into read-only. I can't seem to get it to turn the read-only mode off!!! Has anybody encountered this situation and solved it? This is really frustrating to say the least!! Could there be something outside FS9 controlling it??? JonB 😟

Hello all I am relatively new to FS2004 and I have recently downloaded the RWY 12 Program Installation for air stairs, baggage trucks and realism. I have downloaded the program but the installation manual is really hard to follow. Could someone help me download this Program. Thanks.

Hello Everyone reading this I downloaded the TDS Boeing 737-800 model in the Ryanair livery. As I go down the runway normally I usually pull my mouse down to pitch the nose up at around 150kts and the plane will take off. With the TDS 737, I pull my mouse down and the plane will not pitch its nose up no matter how hard I try. The plane then continues down the runway until at about 200kts where it will just glide over the land. Is there anyway I can fix this problem? Thanks. Luca

Do any one here fly fs2004 using Airbus thrustmaster (thruster lever) and qca quadrant (flaps lever and spoiler lever) I just want to know if it's applicable on fs2004 and how to configure it.(manufacture said yes) I am asking if anyone here using it in the game

Hello. Now that HIFi has shut down their servers for ASE, can anyone recommend real world weather options for FS9? I remember seeing something recently talking about a couple of other options but I have no idea where I saw it. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

I have collected a pretty large collection of addon airplanes for FS2004, some payware, but most freeware. I must confess, I much prefer VC cockpits to have some way of graphically portraying glass textures. Some have reflections, like the Captain SIm and Carenado addons. Some add a little dirt, scatches etc on the VC glass area. And some addons make the glass area a little more muted in colors, or a bit darker, to simulate looking through thick glass. Unfortunately many of what I consider great addons have no discernable glass texture at all, it looks like the pilot is sitting behind metal frames, completely open to the outside world. Hello, I'd like to modify the size and color of the flight director set located on the instrument panels of the different aircrafts, I mean the set of two triangular lines that match the shape of the airplane symbol on the primary flight display or sometimes the horizontal and vertical bars that do the same thing. I can't find these gauges either in the game's file list or with FS Panel Studio. Ingame Flight Director sets are purple or pink and rather small, but usually they are yellow and a bit larger... As a "Dinosaur" still using FS2004 and ASE I had to realize recently that ASE's server connectivity doesn't work anymore. So no more weather downloads... I contacted Hifisim's support and had been told by Dave Opper that they had to do that: "Unfortunately due to mandatory required network efficiency updates and cost management, older products prior to AS2016 have been retired and online access to these products have had to be disabled" So I spent money for a product which partly doesn’t work anymore, although I paid for that server connectivity at the time of buying. Hello, I recently installed FSD3.0 on my Win 11 PC. I want to create a new aircraft for FS2004, which works fine on the machine. Unfortunately FSDS 3.0 doesn't work as I was used to work with it on Win 7 & 8 computers. Every time I've created even the smallest part and want to create a new object file, the program gives the error: Failed To Create Log File Normally, FSDS would create that specific log file by itself, but no it doesn't anything at all. How am I supposed to go on? Is it due to Win 11 and DFSDS is already too old? Maybe somone could help to find the answer. Thanks, Andy

When approach I entered the runway frequency and put the heading of the runway in course. Autopilot engaged and app mode but the airplane did not go to the selected runway. Hi. I have the Trffic tools installed. The question is when I compile a flight plan, it shows it but says 1 airport, 2 aircraft, 1 flightplan. Do I have to download any other aircraft? If I need to, where can I download them from?

I have a weird problem. I have about 6 airlines textures in DJC a320 equipped with iae v2500 4 airlines out of 6 don't work well. (I mean in flying) In flight, It rotates and falls from the sky (stalls) On ground, it can't pitch up to takeoff(bad performance). The weird thing, 2 airlines textures in the same folder works fine and this problem is new as it was working fine all airlines suddenly I have 4 problems

Good morning Excuse me for the old fs2004 question,but I need an help. I have downloaded the "autosave.dll" ,but I do not understand how can I restore the crashed fs9 session. Can someone help me ? The autosave I put it in fs9 modules, and creates an autosave.cfg in the main FS folderbut, after ? what happen ? But where is the saved flghts folder in fs2004 ?? I do not find it. I got a pay ware airport and it works fine but unfortunately it did not support b777-300ER. I made flight plans for the ai but it did not appear and it was appearing in the default airport. So I think the parking raduis of my new airport needs to be changed. Am I right ? And how to increase parking raduis

Hi Guys, I have been on FS9 for years. Last year I was lucky enough to be able to spend £900 on a brand new pc last year. I installed my old FS9 again. As you may guess, I've spent hundreds of pounds over the years on addon airports etc. The problem I'm facing atm with my new pc since last year is some texture bleed through at some airports. My addons include Aerosoft (no problems), UK2000 Scenery (No Problems), Imaginesim (Problems with 2 airports), FSDreamteam (Problems with 1 airport), Taxi2Gate (problem with one airport) As you can see I have addons from different developers, some have no problems whatsoever with some while others do have a …

Hi I'm new here but old to flightsimming. I Have recently gone back to Fs2004 to use it for Classic era flying. late 50's and early 60's. Calclassics is a great place to visit for this sort of thing. But so is Avsim if you know wher to look. However I digress, I'm 68 and really want to get on with things as I feel I don't have a long time left to do them. So the problem I have found is this: first I have FS9 on say S drive. Hi, although my main simulators are a bit more modern, I still have FS2004 on my slow laptop. I recently reinstalled Windows 10 on this laptop, fully updated etc. Then I installed FS2004 and a few addons. Simply set up my Joystick (Thrustmaster A320) and all worked fine. Then I tried to install the old Project Tupolev. Got hundreds of gauge errors. Found a more recent version of the plane somewhere - now only 1 gauge error. But now my Joystick in the sim is disabled. It is shown in the joystick settings and all axes and buttons as I set them. It is still disabled. The enable option does nothing. Works fine in Windows calibration settings…

Hi There! Just asking if there are any scenery developers who would be willing to be able to make some buildings for me to use Rwy 12 Object Placer as so the rest of the FS simmers can also use. I have low end pc, the only flight simulator i can run is FS2004 (FSX is crashing and is unplayable) My specs are : CPU- Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU G3900T @ 2.60GHz 2.59 GHz RAM- 4GB My problem is that when i try to run the simulator on fullscreen (1600-900) the screen goes black and it starts flickering and blue rotating wheel appears, but, when i press alt-enter it goes windowed and everything is back to normal. Even tough, i recently reinstalled windows 10 (completely), before this, FS2004 went smooth, without any problems, i could have fullscreen for how long i wanted and the menu was functional too.
