I recently purchased a new computer and thought that for the heck of it I would try installing FS9 to see how it ran...The program installed fine, but it will not run! I tried Administrator, Compatibility Modes, etc with no luck...Does anyone know of anything else to try? Thanks a lot! Steve in Kansas

Hi all, as we all know that AS6.5 is not supported anymore but while searching the internet I found something called ASFIXER on a Russian forum. somehow this program manages to download Realtime weather for AS6. it does something similar to WX2PPFX except that WX2PFPX also adds TAF while ASFIXER doesn't, the problem is that when I use the downloaded (current_wx_snapshot.txt) from WX2PFPX its kinda buggy and doesn't load weather correctly to AS6 nor FS9 while ASFIXER's (current_wx_snapshot.txt) works fine except no TAF. The main source of the program ASFIXER is unknown to me so I really don't know where to look for updates or read more about the program and to add btw…

Hello everybody During landing and using autopilot for approach The plane is not aligned in the center of the runway there is a drift of 2 degrees to the left and not centered. (I am using a payware airport on the other hand every thing is ok when landing in a non payware airport) The center line of my payware is thinner in thickness than default center line runways.

Have been using PJF Fokker 28 for many years - ever since it was released. In the past had a few issues with the FSSound.dll and have been able to resolved them. Recentrly it occurred again and have not been able to do a fix. I have even uninstall FS2004 and all add-ons several times. The FS9.cfg [OLD Modules] FSSound.dll=1 does not correct the issue neither reinstalling FSUIPC3 that in the past seemed to help. Other times have been able to recoup by doing a system restored. FS2004 and add-ons works well until the Fokker 28 is install, both v1 and v1.1. As soon as installed the FSSound.dll error occurs. Downloaded the PJF Fokker software again and get th…

I was wondering if it is possible to fly some of the default AI planes in fs9.I have watched a few videos about adding in panels in order to make them fly but that doesent make sense since you can fly a plane without a panel at all.My plan is this:Copy and paste a plane,copy and replace the plane model for example:copy and paste the dash 8 model file into a copy of the king air folder and replace the models.Take a look at the configuration file and see if there is any information i need to change,or simply rename the dash 8 model file into the king air model file to avoid the hassle.If i am wrong,please tell me,i dont want to try this out yet,because i do not want to mess…

Hi there, I wanted to download the following, FSPainter's Airbus Base Files Package :- ai_airbus_complete_120685.zip But when I did a search for it, here on AVSIM.com after doing an Extended Search, in the File Library. The .zip File in question, doesn't appear to be there, even though it is supposed to be. Can someone tell me, another website I can download it from? Any help would be much appreciated. Anyone here have the updates to Eiresim's Shannon & Cork Ultimate for both FS2004 and FSX, as was previously found on eiresim's now defunct site (https://web.archive.org/web/20170605083502/http://www.eiresim.com/asjfsjh_updates/snsln_updates.html). When I run the game I get the following error ERROR - FS9 Flight Simulator cannot run because the version of Microsoft DirectX installed on your computer is incompatible. Please reinstall DirextX 9.0 by running Flight Simulator Setup, or download current version from <microsoft>. I have tried installing installing dx9 from the microsoft website and the Redist folder, but it still didn't work. Could it have something with the installer not working?

Hello guys! Few days ago i installed FS9, luckily could find some addons what i used years ago. I installed the addons on different days,and now the FS doesn't want to run. It's start but just black screen and freeze down. Well,i don't remember what i installed last time because i didn't deal with it for more days. Is there any program with what i can check where is the problem why it can't start normally? I don't want to reinstall the whole game with the addons😩 Other thing. Hi guys, does anyone know if there's an AI DJC Model texture for the latest Easyjet colours? A319 or A320? I have the old colours but as the models are old now I can't find anyone who's done the new color on DJC models. My graphics card won't handle the FAIB models as the satnav's show up like bulky white blobs. Been trying to sort it for months now but to no avail. I'd even pay someone to do the texture for me lol!

Dear Avsim, New glitch... Anybody have a clue why Suvarnabhumi Airport and Bangkok international airport freezes? I can land there, sometimes, but freezes when I stop, retract flaps, change view etc. If I select a flight and click go to Airport MSFT 2004 quits responding, I've Go to use task manager to kill the program... Good evening everyone, Once again I'm having a problem in FS9 with Imaginesim and texture bleed through. I bought KEWR years ago. Since then I have had a new pc which is only two years old and a new graphics card which is only 6 months old. In my KEWR, I am getting texture bleed thorugh around the runways again, I ahve had the same problem before with other Imaginesim airports and only happens with Imaginsesim airports. Hello everyone 🙂, well I've been flying ivao since 2018 , until 2020 with Xplane 11 and currently for things of life , with FS2004 , the question is , because ivao traffic for 2004 sucks ... especially because it lacks many aircraft , do you know if on the internet there is a complete or better pack that works for ivao ? I'm getting tired of seeing other traffics with for example an A330 and in the simulator is seen with a 777 and things like that, all because there are no airplanes in the traffics. Can you help me to find the source of this problem? Every time I finish a flight and I want to close the sim, I close it normally, but then it instantly reopens by itself, and looking at the problem log I get this: OS:W10 and I run the sim with w7 compatibility and it works perfect ,except for the above mentioned... Hope anyone can help Last night installed model converter X now when I run the FS9.exe it freezes on the splashscreen and says it has stopped working.use the no CD patch. not sure whathas caused it.
