Sorry to start this topic on avsim, but I can't login on the flightscenery support forum, also this involves flytampa/flightscenery and flightone.My problem is, I am starting my third fresh install off fs9.1 this week. I want to use UT-usa and all the latest updates and landclass switches together with ksea Flytampa and Portland flightscenery. Here is two videos I made. This one is with the PMDG744 starting before VOR CH which is the start of the approach. It's 80mb in size.Kai Tak approach with 744This video starts a few miles before the turn at the checkerboard and was done in the Aeroworx B200. Hi,I unfortunately had to reset my computer back to factory settings, I installed fs9 and some add ons and then realized I forgot the service pack. I started installing the service pack and it was interrupted by a restart from automatic updates. I came back started the sp install again and it gave me an error saying that the service pack was already installed, i don't see an icon in the fs folder giving me the option to uninstall the sp so I don't think it installed, what should I do? will my add ons be effected by having them installed before installing the sp? If I uninstall fs9 with the remove save files unchecked will I lose my add ons? Thanks

I have several addon aircraft for which I can typically land near perfectly. However, I've almost given up on trying to land my Project Opensky 767-300ER V4 (in photorealistic AA livery....awesome looking plane I have to say!). The usual routine is a pretty good approach (although this thing really bleeds-off speed quickly and loses altitude really fast), but then I always notice I'm dropping a little too fast near the threashold (even with a speed up around 160 kts and proper flap settings) and typically don't get a good flare (if any) and I will almost always bounce off the runway about 20' or more. I have 2 monitors running from 1 computer . I am trying to run FS9 on one monitor and FSNavigator on the other. Not having much luck.Is it possible ,or do I need another computer ,networked.I can run other programs ok on both ,but I think because Fs Nav is integrated in FS9 ,it's not going to work. However any help or advice will be very much appreciatedCharliePerth ,Western Australia

What could be the best seaplane for FS9? I'm thinking about single engine plane. If it can also be used as a land and ski plane it is an clear advantage. What is the best available addon?

Hi All, When I land at an airport and request "taxi to the gate", the gate I'm directed to does not take into account the parking code in the aircraft.cfg or AFCAD file. I've tried various aircraft including AI (which always parks correctly when used as AI traffic). Is this normal fs9 ATC behaviour or am I missing something :-hmmm

Does anyone know where I can get an AFCAD file with crossing runways for this scenery? If not are there instructions somewhere on how to create an AFCAD like that? Assuming it's not extrememly complicated I would take a crack at it. Thanks for the time.

sometimes I notice a major discrepency between the wind direction given by ATIS and what shows on the FS wind indicator and Active Sky. Today at RJGG, my sources were showing the wind to be 303 @ 13. But ATIS gave the direction at 169, so I was directed for takeoff with a stiff tailwind. Any idea why this happens or a way to fix?Thanks

When I need to descent with my CLS A330/A340 I experience a problem. The aircraft won't descend quicker than 700 fps!! Whatever the rate I choose, it's descent rate comes back to aproximately 500-700 fps! On the other hand when I climb I don't experience this problem!Can someone please help me?Thanks very much!

I can't seem to find a trim gauge which displays all three axis: elevator, alieron, rudder.I always add a tiny digital elevator trim gauge to every free or payware panel installed (VC), but would dearly love to also monitor the other conrol surfaces. For instance many of the 1%AvHistory warbirds in FS9 need alieron trimming to fly straight, whereas shockwave planes do not.The popular Whazzup gauge doesn't work for rudder trim on my system for some strange reason.

Hi all, just curious to know how many of you use FS9 with frames unlocked. My sim does not seem to micro stutter with frames unlocked. The minute I lock the frames even at 99 there would be some micro stuttering. I just don't want blurry textures, however with my CPU , memory, video card I don't think that will be much of a problem.So, how many unlock their FS9?Thanks all,Bill

I'd like to pick up a nice general aviation twin, it's just about the only thing missing from my stable. I've got a plethora of top quality singles, and I've always been extremely impressed with Flight1's latest offerings. I've got the F1 ATR, PMDG 744 and 737, Maddog 2006, LDS 767, etc. Only thing missing now is an in depth general aviation twin.I think I've narrowed it down to the Dreamfleet Baron B58 and the Aerosoft Piper Cheyenne. I'm only concerned with the quality of the simulation, it's immersion factor and it's replication of the real world operational characteristics of the planes. Everything in my fs9 now shows only true heading. HSI Heading indicator, slew mode red text, even the magnetic compass shows true heading instead of magnetic (please see attached image). Do anybody know the reason and how to fix it? Please help me.

Firstly I would like to say what a WONDERFUL scenery this is and thank you to the whole team who spent many hours making it for all of us to enjoy.....I have a problem with getting my AI to work at the airport. I read the instructions carefully and I am using Traffic 2005 as my AI program. Basically i have decompiled my Traffic.blg file with TT Tools and added the airport cordinates to the list of airports in the txt file... I have then opened the flightplans and changed all the VHHH to VHHX (this took about 15 mins to replace using notepad)and then finally added one 9 Dragons AFCAD file to the Traffic2005 AFD folder. Hello AllYesterday i lost my Internet access for about twelve hours.As i was preparing an evening flight ,i opened activesky as usual and proceeded to download a weather archive for my flight,or rather i didn't (No Internet access duh!)however Active sky seemed to be getting weather from somewhere as i it was refreshing and doing its thing as normal.So where was ASky getting its weather from if i couldn't download it?cheers Andy

I have both Voxatc and Voice Buddy installed in FS9 using WinXP and payware FSUIPC. Both programs work individually without a problem. They are excellent addons.Here is the problem. When I try to run both simulatneously, one of them hangs up the channel. What I mean is that it sounds like one program is stepping on the other's voice. You know, like 2 people trying to reach ATC at the same time and you get the whine. Once this happens, it cannot be cleared unless voxatc is restarted. This usually happens early on in the flight, like at taxi time.I have seperate buttons for each program. I contacted both companies and both said the same thing ... "we have not tested it with…

Hi, what is the reason with the layering of scenery in FS9? At the moment I have Ultimate Terrain at a non specific number and the rest of my sceneries are just randomly placed in the scenery config. Should I have Ultimate Terrain at a certain number or does all the scenery numbers and layers really don't matter?Thanks,Bill

Hi all,I have been having a strange problem recently in fs2004, which i cannot figure out-please help!What is happening is this:I am using the fs9 autostart program, which defrags my pc and stops idle tasks before entering the simulator, ensuring that my cpu is dedicated to performing well during the sim..However, when am on the ground i begin to get annoying buffer problems..All will be well, frame rates good, and all of a sudden, the graphics will begin to buffer, for what seems 3-4 frames almost like a stutter, then return completely to normal.I find that when this happens if i pause the simulator and attempt it again within 5 seconds its fine..This only happens when a…
