HiSome weeks back I read on some forum about a little app that modifies the approaches FS9 uses/offers by updating them with the latest AIRAC cycle for the PMDG planes.I cannot seem to find the name of that application, nor where to look for it. Can anyone help me out on this?ThanksChris

After upsetting a few with the TSS post, I figured I'd "change the subject" and ask a new question. :( I recently brushed the dust off of my Cloud9 F-104, and am having issues with the afterburner effects. I should note it's not a Cloud9 issue per se. It's an issue with an earlier environmental addon that has replaced the "fx_2" file in my Effects\textures folder. I'm curious as to rather or not I can keep my environmental addon and at the same time have a proper looking afterburner for the F-104.In short, is anyone aware of a work around. Perhaps a replacement effect for the 104, of maybe which CD this particular file is on so I can restore the original (…

Hi,I am new to the forum, but hope I can find here help for a problem I am facing for a while now with above mentioned scenery. I had installed it proparly some while ago, but than deactivated as I preferred using VHHH instead of VHHX. But since than I had these weird rectangular spots of dryland where actually the map should show Sea, as you can see on my screenshots. earlier this week I decided to fly around HK again but activated 9d/VHHX again - still with the spots.So y'day I uninstalled 9d completely and proparly with its own deinstall option. I've been flying the C172 VFR in FS9 and want to try the B737. In the C172 I've been using World|Map to determine my location relative to my destination airport before I start my approach. I haven't added the complication of entering a pattern and other traffic just yet.I'm sure I'm doing at least several things wrong; One big thing is that I don't know how to get a good visual on the runway and then get oriented to the ILS. It seems impossible to pick the runway out of the scenery from more than 5 - 10 miles out. What do pilots in the real world do? GPS? VOR? Can I get vectors from ATC to help me? I have updated my Project Opensky 777's with the new FDEs and Model Updates posted on the POSKY website but now the spoilers, ailerons, and back tails will not move and just like I had a problem with updating my POSKY 737s, the 777 will not sit properly on the ground and have tired looking for the XML files as told in my last post but cannot find anything. Has anyone had the same problem with the 777s when updating them?Thanks.

You see, before the server got hit and the forum closed down I got the Tupolev Tu-144 by Thomas Ruth and Claudio Mussner. I absolutely love this aircraft, It's fun and challenging to fly and looks amazing. Now that I have sort of learned how to fly her I wished to delve deeper into the more automated systems and finally learn the ILS navigation system. Does anybody happen to have a copy of the Flytech Alert Pro? They seem to have dissapeared off the face of the earth but I still have a downloaded copy but lost the key code for it when I had a HD failure. I backed up all the downloads but not this particular activation email.Can anybody help??

Hello,some words at the beginning: In Virtual Cockpit Mode I get about 35-40FPS but in extreme conditions (many AI Traffic, very bad Weather ...) my FPS decrease to 23-28FPS.To get more FPS in extreme conditions I made the following:As I fly in Captains Seat only I deleted all gauges of the F.O. Panel (VSI, the 2 PFD's, Clock, Altimeter, F.O. ADF and the speed Altimeter) and replaced them with textures.The good thing: the FPS increased by more than 25%The bad thing: You are not able to fly from the F.O. Every so often, I will be flying along (it always seems to happen on climb out from the departure airport) and all of a sudden Everything is gone and I am back to the desktop. I don't even remember getting the box asking if I want to send a report to Microsoft.What can/should I do to try to trace the problem?again it is sporadic and has happened before and after the latest driver installation for the video card and I have not changed the display or video settings. Hey guys, :( i am looking for an accurate sound for the 737-700/800 series which is the PMDG model. so far, i have been unsuccessful with the search. I would also like to know how could i edit the thrust power on the PMDG 737 from the aicraft.cfg file.by the way, does anyone know where i could get PMDG 737 cabin interiors like (malev hungarian airlines cabin interior) because i downloaded it from avsim before it went downthx!!!!!!!!!

I was very surprised to see that this excellent payware airport has no airline assigments to gates. I have never seen Gatwick so untidy before. What really makes me grind my teeth is when I find an Emirates 773 parked in between the tower and the fire station in the middle of nowhere!Does anyone know where one can find a proper AFCAD for UK2000's Gatwick Xtreme that has airline assigned gates. I have found many other for the Gatwick Pro versions and some other Gatwick airports but the Pro versions don't fit properly over the Xtreme one I have.

Hi guys, this is my first time to visit the forum. Recently, i've been playing FS9 for almost a year, and everything seems go well.I just start to try some a long-haul flight this month, but something drive me crazy.I was flying to San Francisco normally, and i just keep changing different view to explore the awesome scene. Suddenly, it turned to dark screen, and i heard an "error" sound right after that. And i couldn't press any button, even go back to the desktop or get the task manger out. The only way to solve the problem is shut down my computer and reopen the game.Seems it happens to me when i play for an hour or two.Is it something wrong in my VGA?

With the Avsim file server being down, I'm hoping that there's someone here that has an American Eagle ERJ-145 repaint for the Wlco/Feelthere model. I've looked at several sites and avsim was the only one referenced in my searches as having that particular repaint for that model. If anyone has it, please let me know! Thanks much!Darren

Has any had this problem when starting FS9 the initial fs9 logo page will come up as usual but then a few seconds later I'll get a black screen? Prior to that it was working fine. Does anyone here fly the Piper Cheyenne by Digital Aviation? It is one of my favorite aircraft. I am just recovering from a computer crash and had to download the latest 4.0 version. I am unable to get the fuel mixture levers to link with my CH flight yoke levers. Does anyone have any ideas? I have posed this question at Digital Aviation's support forum, so far no answer.

I recently discovered an unidentified module in my Fs2004 Menu. It is called Vistamare Core 2004.Let me explain what happened. After spending a few days organising my AI - Traffic I finally got round to doing a flight again. But immediately I realised I can no longer change my viewpoint from the outside spot view using the keyboard by pressing ctrl-shift-backspace and so forth. Hello all! Just picked up my FS2004 after some five years and its great to be back in the skies. As I sold my joystick and am saving up for CH Yoke, I am currently flying with keyboard and mouse only.My question is about virtual cockpit. I don't seem to figure out how can I rotate the VC with the mouse? I click and hold down on the rotary thing in the middle and move mouse around but nothing happens. Great to see AVSim rising from the ashes. Keep it going.Now, my problem, had to reload my PSS Airbus Pro (FS2002) on my FS2004. I managed to find the PSS FS2002 to FS2004 patch to cure the flashing cursor, but I am left with a display problem. Attached picture explains it all.I've tried various display settings from the FS menu, but no difference.Display hardware is Radeon X1950 Pro feeding a Samsung widescreen monitor. Any ideas?

I've noticed that there appears to be 2 types of comments for all the .CFG files in FS9. One is 2 forward slash characters "//" and the other is a semi-colon ";". Will someone please verify this for me and let me know if there are other comment characters? Thank you!Mark

Hi Folks,I was wondering if somebody can help me out here. I have noticed that my AI Aircraft at night, have the Logo lights on only when they start to move away from the stand. Most of them that are parked and not about to start their flight are dark without the lights on. Is there any way to have them on at night even while parked at the stand?Thanks,Dinshaw.
