Hi fellow simmers, First of all I am obviously new to the forum, but I'm not new to flight sim, so any dumb solutions such as "run FSX with administrator rights" I've already tried so please give out actually helpful solutions to my question please, thank you. You can assume that I run FSX with Admin rights every time. I also did not install FSX in ProgramFiles (not even in C drive) so there should not be a permission problem. I need to provide some background to my problem first. I keep getting messages from my Antivirus saying that COUATL has detected a virus and it's blocking it from running. Meanwhile I keep having COUATL crash on me and restart. Seems to me there are so many topics of this software crashing and there has never been a definite solution? Has anyone found?

FSX, running Flight Sim passengers, and Real Air Legacy. Traffic turned down very low. Recently got this CTD any ideas what was faulting? I've never asked anyone else's help for handling FSX issues but the gist I am gathering at this point is that with the bit of reading I've done I have a slider issue. PMDG 737NGX and ORBX Global FTX 2 with Vectors LC NA and SE AK Scenery. Win7x64 and thats honestly what I know of how to start. I'll attempt to be as detailed as I can. I've had FSX steam edition for over a year now. Just recently I decided to try and stretch my legs a little in the simulator, and began adding on to it. First I downloaded ORBX Global Base Pack and Global openLC NA Alaska/Canada. Then, I downloaded PMDG's 737 NGX, and began flying. I use Track IR, so I generally load straight into the virtual cockpit. Everything seemed fine EXCEPT if I hit Shift-1 and pulled up the main panel, it was compressed, and most of the gauges missing. I read that it could be an error in the install, but the other symptoms they said would be there, weren't (i.e. autopilot issues, gear not bein…

..interesting, I had this issue, before fresh installation of the Sim & win7 64, and FSX-SE crashing again & again after new installation as well. I made some research and found out I should install Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Now: There are to of them one for 32Bit one for 64Bit, which one should I get ? Should I install SP1 as well ? What about newer versions, do I need to install those as well Any other remedies to the MSVCRT/DLL The only addon I'm running is ORBX SoCal & Accu-Fell, Ihope thos two are not the source of the issue Cheers Yair

Hi, I have a fresh Windows 10 X64 and a fresh P3D .4 install, with UTX Canada, USA and Europe, and FSDT ORD. I tried with PMDG and Aerosoft aircrafts (737, 777, A32x) When I fly to/from ORD west or south, I have no problem. When I fly to/from ORD I have a CTD. They are no duplicates bgl (made a search with airport scanner. Any solution? Thank's Yves

My FSX SE crashes every time it loads up the scenery at around 71%. I have Windows 10. The UAC is all the way down. Everything is adminisrtator rights. I hope this helps .... I havent started flying for a very long while but I never remove microsoft X from the hard drive . well everything went well for a little while and than I started getting CTD once I took off .. after a 5 mins or so I would get that awful lock and than I would have to do the task manager to get out of it , same problem I had before I took a vacation from flying x . well heres what I did and since I originally made this rig esp for Flight sim X , I allowed other programs to clutter my hard drive , so heres what I did everyone should read this and it will along with you deleteing old files that re in your documenst that are just sitting there ,…

When I fire up FSX SE while the scenery is loading when it reaches 71% the pop up " Windows has stopped working ". This problem surfaced when six updates were installed on Windows Updates. but I also installed three A2A Aircraft. Those have since been un-installed. I also installed new drivers that were outdated from Driver Booster. I have Windows 10. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

For some time now while flying the PMDG 737 NGX if I change to exterior spot view when in the air, or landed at my destination I get a CTD. Anyone else have this or know a fix?

Hi Jim Young, So I am having the infamous freeze of FSX with sound continuing at the 17:00 - 20:00 minute mark into a flight. Every thing was working fine until about June of this year. I have downloaded and been working through the CTD guide but am still stuck 3 months later. I did download the AppCrashView tool. I can supply the logs from those when requested. It looks like the Fault Module Names are XAudio2_6.dll also C172.DLL_unloaded and A2A_accusim.DLL. at different times. I am using a A2A Cessna172 so I guess I needed to try a default plane and see if that freezes. Are you able to help guide me please. Tired of being grounded.

Hi guys, Lots of things how to analyse post crash situations, but is there a tool available that can warn you when a crash situation is near ? For ex a warning when you are pushing a system to its limits, maybe you would be able then the to pauze and lower some settings and continue ? Hello all I just wanted to do my first long haul (for a very long time) However, as I was cruising, after 58 hours, it crashed, aka just froze, moved down the process explorer and stopped. To whom it may concern, I write this, because I'm running with new P3d, all is ok working, except for that p3d stop working after a short flying time. This happens almost every time I fly!! Hey guys. Does anybody here has the same experience as I have? My P3D suddenly freezes and stops responding. It eventually crashes. This problem started with the 3.4 update. It occurs after some time. I have been flying from EHAM to CYYZ and it happened like after 5 hours of flight. And it is not influenced by any aircraft. So it's either AS16 + ASCA doing it, or something else. It happened to me previously, when I was making a tower view when controlling at IVAO.

Hi guys I am experiencing a crash virtually everytime I fly these days. Had another one tonight. I Have produced a couple of reports from AppCrashView which are attached. I do not have a clue what they mean and was wondering if you could glean any info from it as to what might be causing the crashes. Sometimes the computer says I have run out of memory and other times it just crashes to desktop. VAS memory is not an issue as I have a VAS monitor going when I fly. Hi all. I had this Splash Screen hanging problem with FSX-S stopping on the initial splash screen and never loading from there. It was resolved by deleting the "logbook.bin" file within the Flight Simulator X folder inside My Doucments. If you want to find out how I am sure this was the solution to the problem in my case, read on. If not rename the logbook.bin file and let FSX create a new one on start up, back it up before deleting it, just in case. After experiencing this hanging on the splash screen error and finding no real help on the www, I decided a complete reinstall from Windows 10 up was in order. Dear all, I've had a crash which troubles me a lot. My P3D crashes during all flights from Hong Kong to Europe, it happens at around 4-5 hours in-sim-time. It doesn't happen on all long haul flights though as I flew from Hong Kong to Sydney without problems. I checked the event log and it indicates an ntdll crash. I have reinstalled windows, P3D, and updated my drivers, however it still happens to my sim. If someone has a clue it would be much appreciated. I used PMDG 777, GSX, OpusFSI and IVAP. Hi Am using FSX-SE with the new FSL A320-X but am getting constant crashes on clicking the airplane selection dialogue based on uiautomationcore.dll. Am using Win10 64 and have tried both the Steam version of the uiautomationcore.dll (v 18000) and the other recommended version (v 16386) - whichever it makes no difference. The weird thing is that it looks like despite the fact I have a version of the dll in my root FSX-SE directory, the version that gets loaded is the new Win10 version that is sitting in the \System32\ directory (v 14393.206)! Hi, this is all new to me, I have P3Dv3.4 installed and am running MCE. I wanted more ATC immersion so I purchased PF3-ATC, which MCE supports. When I have the Sim up an running and I hit the PF3.exe, P3D completely shuts down. If for some reason I have to shut MCE down as it automatically starts with P3D, if I try and re-start that from the Task Bar, it also crashes P3D. Any ideas Please. BJ for OZ

Hello, My P3Dv3.3 works very well. After the update (client) to 3.4 I very often have CTD with error of sim1.dll ? Did You notice the same problem with the new version of P3D? Any idea how to solve it?
