Hi All, I just wanted to ask for a few comments on this system. I've just read the article here http://www.avsim.com/pages/0811/Saitek/Hardware.html and read about a bias towards the left. Has anyone had the same problem? been able to correct it? I also see they have two different rudder pedal options available. http://www.flightsimstore.com/product_info.php?cPath=30_35&products_id=1533 and http://www.flightsimstore.com/product_info.php?cPath=30_35&products_id=165 The first ones look a little more robust. CheersSean

Can anyone advise what all this airport traffic does for the frame rates. Haven't seen any mention of that.

Warning and important note: although these state "Filmed in HD" on the cover of the box, they are only actually distributed on standard DVDs in DVD format. It is NOT in HD.

Short and sweet review. Real short but covers the basics.Has the Jetway movement been patched yet? In answer to the questions posed by the writer - Yes, moving jetways actually is an important item with a add-on scenery package for a major airport. I don't think most simmers purchase these type add-ons for their J-3 cub or Carenado Cessnas. I think they use airliners and airliners tend to use gates.Looks like a nice improvement over the default. I wish the review was a little longer with more depth and more screenshots in different weather conditions.Ray

Just a quick comment regarding the optional rear view mirror. This is mostly used when equipping the Dynamic for glider towing, a job it does rather well at. The mirrors usefulness becomes more obvious then :)Cheers!

Just had a look at the page with my CS 707 review and the last section appears to have been mixed up with some kind of DVD review, don't know which review that would be, but it sure wasn't mine LOL Here's what it actually said, presumably this will be corrected at some point:What I Like About the CS FSX 707-300• It’s a good solid performer, with high FPS in spite of the detail in the VC• It’s a great model, both inside and out• Texturing is really excellent• Flies like a charm and is very close to how the real thing performs, meaning you really can fly it by the book in most respects• Systems simulation offers a great rendition of a complex trans-oceanic-capable airliner …

I couldn't agree more with the reviewer's verdict regarding the UK2000 VFR Airfields packages. However, I think it's worth pointing out that using them with the rubbish default scenery is a MASSIVE waste of their potential. If you really want to see them at their best, then you need to install all three volumes of Horizon's Generation X photographic scenery (Version 3 is released on June 1). The UK2000 VFR Airfields have been designed to blend seamlessly with the Horizon scenery, and that is a VAST improvement over the default scenery. If you want it to look even better, then installing all three volumes of Treescapes UK (by Earth Simulations) would be the next step. Once…

Just a head's up that there is no click-able link on the front page of Avsim to get to the review. It is possible to get to the review by following the Reviews | Scenery menu options. Also I believe this has been mentioned on other reviews, but a listing of the reviewer's system specs would be helpful, IMO. I notice some blurries in some of the posted images and having reference hardware data would be helpful to judge effects on a potential customer's system. Mention was made in the review about the review system's status, but no specifics to judge by.

I just read the review of the Qualitywings 757. The reviewer states that the product does not include TCAS, but that is not true! TCAS is included (without the need of FSUIPC)!Please refer to the manual (page 132) which can be found here

Hello,Thanks for the nice review of FVFR Lilles + NPC, I fully agree with you and I really enjoy those 2 sceneries.I would have completed the review with the fact that one can add - the "http://www.volvfr.fr/" obstacles et reperes france vfr, which adds tons of stuff to every FVFR scenes and has become a must addon. (like the high power lines, water towers, churches etc). It really does improve FVFR Britany, Alsace and NPC by a lot.- that a lot of freeware stuff is aviable to complete the scenary (the best is here: http://slovene73.perso.sfr.fr/Accueil.2.html )Still thx for the nice review. Nice review. I do not own it now, I am waiting to the FS2004 version. You have some mistakes , there is no RWY 24 in LLBG, there is rwy 26 . The military base is closed for about 2 years now. It moved to Nevatim Air Base in southern Israel (LLNV). Sometimes you can see military aircraft parking in LLBG, but the IAF has moved from there. What you said about there is no cars in Terminal 1... I was near this Terminal a year ago, It almost empty, most of the flight are departing from T3, so not alot of cars there. If you want photoreal for Tel Aviv, get it from here (Its including autogen, and its free:http://translate.google.com/translate?js=n&prev=_t&hl=iw&ie=UT…

With missing documentation, poor night lighting, default gates showing, and the atmosphere of a military mout training site the reviewer still found nothing to dislike???I'm not going to get into the review itself but it is clear that the reviewer is using a dated system. There is no mention of frame rates or performance and even if there was it would be based on his dated machine. While I don't believe a reviewer must have a cutting edge system to give a credible review could an FSX user with a high end machine really glean anything from this? Last thing I'll say is IMO the screenshots were pretty poor perhaps using some borrowed images would be better? I couldn't help b…

Hi,just wanted to add a few "fun facts":- a patch that will fix the ADF and several other issues has been promised for over 5 months now- the customer support doesn't exist, you may get an answer sometimes, but you won't get a solutionThe day I bought the F8F I told VS about the non-working ADF, which was pretty much the only reason I bought this thing (I already owned the A2A P47, so why bother).I was told that there would be a patch soon, now (the patch was announced at 12/04/2010) there is still nothing, except for some responses stating that the patch is being worked on (for that long... really??!!)The ADF in their next product - the F9F - was fully functional, so ge…

Hi,I have just read the AVSIM X-Plane 10 Preview. A couple questions that I would have liked answering are will it work on Surround Vision, Eyefinity or TH2Go setups with 3 screens correctly. Also, can it utilise an SLI GPU configuration to maximise graphics performance. I noted that it will utilise CPU's cores, so one would hope that the same would be true of GPU's!Does anyone know? Thanks,Ted.

Please. Next time the reviewer submits a review, which was excellent by the way, kindly take screen shots that have much higher resolution, particularly if very specific detailing (like rivets) is mentioned in the reveiw.

The cellphone guy is a MS SDK object, it may be seen on many sceneries and also stock missions (ex. Telluride)RV

Another great AVSIM review. Jeff Shyluk's account of the Accu-sim add-on makes me want to shell out a few more pennies (but after I've recovered from Christmas). But I wanted to point out something about that door. You can close it with the mouse, but you have to "lean" out far enough to see the handle so you can "reach" it with the mouse. That's realism.Tim

With a lot of discussion within many review comments, there are pros and cons of "rating" a product based on one reviewer's opinion and the subsequent "review" of the report by the editor. When I started with AVSIM in 2000, we had a 1 to 5 star rating system, where 1 denoted a poor product, a 3 denoted a product met theexpectations of the day, and a 5 meant that the product broke new ground and raised the bar for the next developer to meet or exceed. As technology (and MSFS) marched on, 4.5 and 5.0 were becoming the norm as the latest release exceeded the last. So we did away with the 1-5 rating and introduced the "Gold Star Award" reserved for those products that were now …

I have experience of the Saitek M Panel and the Radio Stack and am finding out that they work well, no, very well and increasingly am finding many larger aircraft than just mere GA aircraft can be flown with them.Does anyone know if the VR Insight M panel (which incorporates the radio frequency option) so that I could set ILS as well as the Heading and Altitude and Approach Hold, flaps, trim, from the one unit. This might mean that I could use just one unit rather than two when flying a journey employing just AP and ILS frequencies. Many thanks

HiI've had the DBS Terrain Map for some time now and agree with everything you said in your well-written and informative review. There's just a couple of weaknesses with the Terrain Map that I would mention. For those of us who want to come as close as possible to reality, using a pop-gauge is not a good option. I want to install it into the panel, including VC. But I've had very little success in doing so. In all but one case, when I cranked up the sim the gauge was in the panel exactly how I wanted it, but when I tried to power it up, it just stays dark. In one case, it works in the 2D panel but wouldn't work installed in the VC. In the others I've tried, it works in ne…
