I'm in transition from P3D v4.5 to P3D v5.1, but I want to hold the v4.5 installation. At this moment I have both versions of P3D active and I have already installed some add-ons voor v5.1. Untill now everything works fine at both sides. Some add-ons recognize automatically which version of P3D I'm running (i.e. littlenavmap). But what to do with VoxATC v 7.43? Is it possible to use it for two simulators? Must I do a second install for P3D v5 and if so, is it still possible to use VoxATC for v4.5? Excuses if anybody asked this before. I couldn't find such a thread.

Hello, When approaching the TOD during an IFR flight, I noticed the ATIS is keeping the weather information of the departure time, therefore it is unfortunately not possible to know which is the Runway-in-use to prepare the approach on the FMS... It seems the ATIS is only updated close the arrival airfield, at about 50 NM. Switching off/on VoxATC to update the ATIS does not seem to be working, and the weather in the ATIS is set to default values (Temp 20/0, Wind calm, QNH 1013). I am using VoxATC 7.43, with P3D 4.5HF3 and Active Sky for P3Dv4. Do you know if there is a workaround to force the update of the ATIS near the TOD? Thanks,

  3. Regularly (but not always) VoxATC thinks that my altitude is 300 feet lower than it is. When VoxATC makes contact with the next controller it says 'London Center, KLM174 is with you at flightlevel 237' whereas my flightlevel is 240. Or it orders me to climb to flightlevel 150, whereas my flightlevel is already 150. I thought it might have something to do with air pressure. Maybe VoxATC still counts in QNH whereas I had set my altimeter at STD. Yesterday the QNH was actually 1013 HpA, so setting the altimeter to STD had no effect, while VoxATC made contact calling a flightlevel which was 300 feet lower. Can anybody tell my what causes this problem and how I can solve…

Hi all, When departing KPSP using VoxATC, both Palm Springs departure and SoCal center are using 126.70. It leads to some issues with crossed comms where it seems even AI gets confused. Is this a frequency resolution issue in P3d, a VoxATC issue, a P3D issue or possibly Orbx KPSP? I'm using FSAeroData with latest AIRAC. Thanks! sg

  5. Haven't you always wanted a freeware utility that showed you a traffic board of all the flights within the user's reality bubble? Now you can and it works with VOXATC: https://www.alpha-india.net/forums/index.php?topic=29651.msg339559#msg339559 AI Companion's live mode (used while P3d is running) used to show some information about VOXATC AI aircraft, but this experimental version shows a lot more, like destination and arrival airports and whether the aircraft is either taxiing, parked or enroute. AI Companion has many other offline modes that are helpful for checking schedules, models and liveries. Make sure to tick the VOXATC checkbox in AIC's settings.

hi, it's been several flights that I can not finish with voxatc on the descent, yesterday, I managed to follow the instructions: descend to 5000 feet ok, I have no reason to refuse ... I continue my descent, again: descend to 5000 feet I get to 5000 feet and stabilize Very quickly I hear: immediately, descend to 5000 feet I answer: descend to 5000 feet 3 minutes later: immediately descend to 5000 feet I answer: descend to 5000 feet 3 minutes later: immediately descend to 5000 feet... And that did not stop, vox was blocked on this injunction not taking into account that I was at 5000 feet as requested It's been several ti…

Does using this utility possibly conflict with 3rd party addon scenery? Just curious if there's any potential pitfalls. Thanks!

  9. Hello, When I am departing from an airport, after passing FL060/6000 during the climb, the ATC request me to descent to FL060/6000, whereas on the Departure clearance I was told to proceed "as filed" I am using VoxATC 7.43, FS, with Navigraph AIRAC Data. Does anyone experience the same issue? Thanks,

P3D 4.5 latest revision, VoxATC 7.43. I was not getting a SID as expected when using a flight plan from Simbrief, using recent Navigraph data in Simbrief and in VoxATC. Then I installed Herve Sors's updates, and I did get the SID as expected. This was for a flight in Europe. I had experienced this before (years ago) and resolved it in the same way, but I thought VoxATC now only depended on the flight plan data and not the internal P3D database.

  11. As I write this I am using P3D v5.1 and VoxATC v7.43. Earlier today I was departing KDEN (I'm using FlightBeam's KDEN) in a PMDG 737NGu with Southwest Airlines colors. (Note that SWA operates primarily out of Terminal C, which is is *much* closer to the threshold of RWY 08 than that of RWY 07.) Anyway, the winds were light out of 110 and I was assigned RWY 07 by VoxATC. This was unfortunate because my flight plan called for an initial waypoint of CHUWY (which would normally have been reached by flying the CHEWY1 SID). Unfortunately, CHEWY1 is not available for RWY 07 (at least not with AIRAC 2010), but CHEWY *is* available with RWY 08, the threshold of which is, …

  12. In VoxATC I've noticed on several occasions (particularly at FlightBeam's KDEN, KPHX, and KMSP) that when there are parallel runways of different lengths, VOX (for me) has assigned on departure shorter runways for takeoff, while AI aircraft are landing on the longer runways. According to what I know about RW aviation (from direct observation and also various sources -- apologies for not providing links) but RW aircraft generally need all the runway length they can get on takeoff (in case of engine failure or other problems before V1). Further, aircraft generally do not need as much runway on landing (except maybe heavy's). Also note that in the RW I've read that, f…

  13. This feature suggestion concerns how VOX assigns the airliner ATC Callsign in the VoxATC Settings applet. First, I exclusively fly P3Dv5 PDG airliners, which include the livery info (Southwest, Frontier, American Airliners, etc.) in their aircraft descriptions (and/or maybe somewhere in the a/c definition file). Also, when selecting an aircraft to fly (when loading it in on startup in the flight simulator), there is an entry field for a flight number. Now, given that almost always forget to run the VoxATC Settings applet before loading the sim (to enter the ATC callsign), so... It would be awesome for me (and likely others) if the VoxATC settings apple…

P3D v4.5, VoxATC 7.43, Windows 10 v 2004, using Majestic Q400. Wondering if anyone else is seeing this or might have any suggestions as to what might be causing it. Sometimes, when I am asked to change frequency, there seems to be a pause of around 5 seconds (when I am supposed to read the frequency back) where VoxATC appears to be unresponsive: it doesn't immediately respond to my voice, and nothing happens if I push the button I've assigned to e.g. close/open the VoxATC window. Everything else in the sim appears unaffected. Eventually, the prompt telling me to input the frequency comes up, and I can carry on as normal. In other situations, the response time is…

  15. Hi I've downloaded version 7.43 and upon install, Kaspersky is giving me a trojan warning. It indicates the presence of the win32.trickster trojan and will not allow me to continue the installation, as well as requiring immediate disinfection. I've tried notifying the developer through the contact form on the website but it doesn't seem to be working. How can I report this so the file is checked? Rgds

Hi, I downloaded today the demo for VoxATC 7.43. I use Prepar3D_V4.5.14.34698. I have configured the windows speech recognition as described in the Help File. My windows display is US English, also the speech recognizer language is set as "Microsoft Speech Recognizer 8.0 for Windows (English-US). But when I try to initialize the VoxATC inside the sim it gives me the following error message: "Cannot initialize voice recognition. Ensure that you have a US English Compatible recognizer selected. See Help file." I tried to solve it out all day but couldn`t find a solution, This is the log: Log Start 11/03/2020 21:27:33 $$$$ Thre…

  19. Runways 18R and 36R aren't in use as departing runways. There aren't even taxiways to these runways. Nevertheless VOXATC does direct me to these runways. How can I prevent this?

  20. Started by jsmcwilliam,

I run P3Dv5 under Windows 10 and have just updated to ASP3D and VoxATC 7.43. I have completed a maiden flight and all seemed to work normally, however, listening to ATIS at the start of the flight I hear the Vox version first and get info on the active start and landing runways etc., then the report is repeated - a different voice - with slightly different details. This second report is then repeated until I change frequency. The active runways , wind, Qnh though different matched the AS data. The taxi instructions sent me happily to the Vox designated runway. At the end of the flight the Vox landing info now matched the AS data. At the beginning of the flight ther…

I run Vox ATC 7.43 together with P3Dv5 under Windows 10 and have a problem when listening to ATC voice responses. I have maximised the volumes in Voxatc/voice configuration and have reduced the engine volume setting in my PMDG 737 NGXu to 25% This has not solved the problem and I cannot hear the ATIS readout or the VoxATC responses unless I press Q to mute all PMDG sounds. When I do this I can communicate with Vox and can also hear my Fs2Crew responses. There is a similar problem with GSX. During pushback I cannot hear the instructions from the ground crew - "set brakes" - unless I press Q. Any suggestions appreciated. There is a earlier question on the forum dealin…

Team The inclusion of the titled parameter in the VASettings.xml does not seem to function as it did in v742 ..... whereby earlier or later TOD's would be calculated by vox to suit arrivals different to the default 2.5 ratio direct to the destination. Further it seems (manual) requests for descent will not be granted .... & are delayed and subsequently instructed by vox on passing the 2.5 calculated (eg 90nm direct from FL360). Comments / advice will be appreciated. One needs some sort of flexibility to follow rnav star profiles where downwinds and / or TMA restraints apply. With v742, i felt it simpler to rely on a pilot initiated request although…

Hi I keep randomly getting stuck with ATC saying "Pass Your Message" after my response, which is becoming very irritating and spoiling the flight. I have the correct frequency selected, I hold down the transmit key and wait one second after the click and read the correct response in a steady and clear manner then wait another second and release the key. I have spent roughly an hour and a half voice training both general and using the Flight Plan Trainer. The last time was a very simple response after crossing a runway, it was "Golf November Bravo Vacated Runway" no matter how many times I said it ATC always responded with Pass Your Message. Is there any w…
