The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum

Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here.  Please follow image posting rules (below).  Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).

Screenshot Image Posting Rules

  • Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own.  See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
  • Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
  • Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
  • No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
  • AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
  • Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

Tu-144D "Charger" version 3.5 for FSX. With the nose up.... It requires quite a bit of technical competence to fly, and is right up there with the Project Tupolev Tu-154B-2 for FSX (unassociated) in terms of complexity. Thanks for looking! -Sean

I'm currently en route to Anchorage, AK from Memphis, TN and thought I'd share some screens along the way. The plane is the -200F model of the Flight Factor 777 Worldliner Professional which, despite owning since shortly after its release and reading most of the documentation, I hadn't actually gotten around to flying until this weekend. I'm also using the HD Meshes v2, Ted's Memphis, and Frede's PANC; clouds and sky colors are provided by SkyMaxx Pro 1.2. Enjoy! Taxiing to 18C ZUMIT1 departure Sunrise somewhere in the vicinity of Yellowstone I'll post more as I take them!

  7. These are some spontaneous pictures from a relaxed evening flight in my current favorite aircraft. Sorry for the bad quality, this time I had only "high" texture resolution and no antialiasing.

  9. Just cannot get away from this state.

  10. Started by skully,

Having explored Alaska a little bit I decided to take a flight between Anchorage and Seattle to see what XP-10 has to offer on this scenery rich hop. The distance is right at the limit of the little CRJ's range with reserves so unless I ran into some brutal headwinds that would kill my ground speed I should be good to go. All loaded up with a cargo hold full of Jumbo Alaskan King Crab bound for Seattle's finest seafood restaurants, throttles forward and away we go. As we climb out the smell of fresh coffee wafts through the cabin. Sweet with a little bit of cream.. thanks! Got any scones left I can nibble on? Pickin 'em up and puttin 'em down. (sla…

Scheduled service from Dallas-Fort Worth to Los Angeles. The aircraft is FlightFactor's 777 Worldliner (specifically the -200LR); KLAX is part of Ted's Los Angeles and KDFW is brought to you by Brian Godwin on The Org. The latter is a fantastic, detailed airport package--don't know why it's taken me this long to fly here! Enjoy! Push-back complete. Hi there! Because of a thread I found here on AVSIM about cloud shadows in X-Plane 10, in which a fellow simmer (AUA425) wrote that they can easily be brought back to XPX with a plugin called dataref editor (by changing a ceratin value in game on the fly), I had to give that a try immediately. I loved cloud shadows in XP9, and ever since, I knew that -at least for me- they were absolutely important to make the scenery look really realistic and deep. Have a look at these shots I´ve taken on a flight in the QPAC A320 from Zürich to Düsseldorf. I hope you like them, I nearly freaked out ;-):

I've been experimenting with FSEarthTiles so I can create my own photoreal scenery for FS2004. I was very pleased with the initial result although it took me some time to get the scenery to compile correctly, a fair amount of trial and error since the FSEarthTiles forum wasn't seeing much support activity over the weekend. But I got it done, with very nice results. Just one shot here--too busy flying over my new scenery. I will try to work on packages I can upload to the library--my main goal is to cover Switzerland.... Enjoy! John C.
