The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

Goofy play on words i know...hehe. I stripped the paint of my Polar Air Cargo livery. :Just Kidding: She was sold to another freight company that will be getting her livery as soon as I resolve some pesky metal glitches. The metal is not mine, its Xudeva Irribarra's excellent metal I also used on an LDS 767 a few years back. It was on a 1024 map so stretching on a 4096 map is going to take some work.

I've always been one who, in the past, wondered if external views of aircraft were really needed and a waste of sim resources. After all, you can't step outside an aircraft during flight and marvel at the beauriful textures and such. However, on the ground it's another matter. I know it's kinda silly and just the little conceit we play out, but it's kinda cool, after a flight and all systems are shut down, to open the door, shift to chase view, watch all the static elements go into place, close the doors, and then take a little walk around the plane. Say it was real, that this is my real plane, and I've just completed a little jaunt over the mountains of Alaska ... I m…

Hi there! Normally, I am using the default XPX clouds. I just love the cloud shadowing (which isn´t possible with SMP) too much, and with the 10.30 betas, the default clouds look way better than before (better colouring, etc.) But I promised my viewers on twitch.tv, to do one or two flights with SMP installed and the weather engine of EFASS (Ultra WX) injetcting the weather. To be sure that everything works flawlessly, I installed v1.3.3 of SMP and did a short FS Economy flight in Carenado´s B200 over the Austrian Alps. Though I missed my beloved cloud shadows, the result still looked quite appealing! What do you think?

I decided to take some pictures of the beautiful Cessna CT206H Stationair by Carenado for X-Plane 10, at the stunning region near Telluride (KTEX), Colorado, USA. Enjoy. Other addons used are HD-Mesh v2, Treelines & Farms v2, KTEX airport freeware by "Aerospace", and EFASS-injected weather (not really noticable, because the weather was quite clear).

Views passing Great Basin National Park (where I drove my car to over 11,000 ft last year!) and the VLA in New Mexico. My scenery created with FSEarthTiles combined with Alabeo's 177. John

Just checking out the X-Plane Simheaven photoscenery with the new World2Xplane OSM scenery... SkyMaxx Pro, MaxxFX, and RealTerraHaze, Carenado C340. Just cruising round my usual stomping ground of north east Kent. Wowowowowowowowowow.... me like. Now considering I can get pretty much all of Europe covered with this scenery (HD space permitting  ) and it's freeware... Colour me very, very impressed.

Messing about today with the Virtavia Sea King in FSX. Heading out from Manston following the coast of Thanet, west towards Herne Bay, then south to Canterbury, a quick water landing at Fordwich Lakes, then back to Manston again. There used to be an RAF Rescue base at Manston and I used to see the yellow Sea Kings all the time growing up. The rescue base was shut down in the late 90's after defence cutbacks. More recently the airport was purchased last year by a certain, ahem... "entrepreneur" (for the princely sum of £1) who promised to keep it open as an airport, then promptly closed in May and plans to develop it into a "garden city". This was after our entrepreneu…
