The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

These aren't very artsy fartsy... and this is with a barren P3D (no texture addons - well no ground texture addons), and the scenery time and season is correct so it looks pretty ugly. All are with HDR off with the exception of the obvious LAS comparison. If you added Orbx Global I'm sure it would look a lot better. BOS FLL DLH LAS

The FSX DX10 cockpit bloom and shadows makes an amazing transformation to this favorite of mine, the RealAir SF. 260. This single static screen shot does not do it justice; seeing these shadows slide about while the lighting blooms and fades brings life back to this oldie. The above shot was done in 4x DSR mode which produces 4K sized screen shots; here is another DX10 4x DSR shot, the A2A WoP3 P-51 over MSE2 Utah. Both were resized to 1600 x 900 for web posting. I rarely take to the virtual skies without my screenshot grabber running. FS (FSX in my case) can generate fantastic screenshots and with so many variables thrown in what emerges are some very unique and hopefully atmospheric images. So below are just a few random shots as I have flown around the UK & Europe. THE OFFICE A FAVOURITE OF MINE WITH THE MOON IN THE BACKGROUND!
