The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum

Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here.  Please follow image posting rules (below).  Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).

Screenshot Image Posting Rules

  • Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own.  See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
  • Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
  • Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
  • No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
  • AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
  • Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

Twice each year VATSIM holds an event called "cross the pond," where ATC services are staffed from specific airports on one continent, all the way across the Atlantic to destination airports. After hearing such good things, I figured I'd join in. Preflight - With trans-oceanic flights, the preflight preparation is where almost all of the work is done. The release is chock full of information that produces one very important number: fuel load. The CTP website assigns you a route for the event based on traffic load- so many people are performing the atlantic crossing that it would be impractical to let people decide on their own track as this would cause traffic c…

With version 2.4 and the latest nvidia drivers I am finally starting to really appreciate p3d. Stuttering is almost gone and shimmering has been greatly reduced, and I suspect further AA improvements. The atmospheric effects in P3D are really nice, as I hope these sceenshots demonstrates. The sun and cloud reflections in the water. The shadows in the mountains. The twilight shining through the clouds. The super crisp textures, that makes me notice fine details I was not able to see in FSX. Great work LM, and thanks to the growing community of P3D addon developers. Now I only hope PMDG 777 has a reasonable pricing...

Good morning all Still waiting for the V2, I took the good old Turbine Duke for a short flight from Philadelphia (KPHL) to Mount Washington Regional Airport (KHIE) A very, very nice flight with a 4 000ft/mn climb. I had to calm down when I heard an alarm "L ENG OVER LIMITS", reduce the climb rate to 2 500 ft/mn, and open the oil doors. The thrilling part was the approach through a thick cover, to RWY 10 with Mount Washington in the background, light rain, and 25kts cross winds. No edit, 4x DSR, custom sweetfx.

  24. The following 16 shots are at Cushman Meadows (ORBX) with the Carenado Bonanza, heavy overcast, fog...rain upon departure, and eventual landing towards the coast. This is with DSR set to 2.0 and Smoothness set to default 33%. I can't stop flying, as this is a totally new experience in depth immersion and clarity. Smooth FPS animation, staying locked at my 30 FPS, and I still don't quite understand the tech behind this...in such as, why did nVidia wait so long to come up with this fabulous addition to their driver set. It is the 'tweak' to rule them all...no more tweaking to TRY and get clarity of texture, depth of texture...OMG!....this is beyond the 'happy dance'.... …
