The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum

Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here.  Please follow image posting rules (below).  Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).

Screenshot Image Posting Rules

  • Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own.  See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
  • Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
  • Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
  • No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
  • AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
  • Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

I haven't been able to contribute to the screenshot forums in a while, and as it's my favorite thing to do on Avsim, I think it's time we rectify that! :-D Here are some random 77W shots that I've taken over the last month. Enjoy! -- Yep, it's been a Turkish sorta month

  8. Picked it up during the Carenado holiday sales. Despite being based on the older Saratoga released for FSX ~5 years ago it's very detailed and handles beautifully. Very stable and easy to fly. Was just going to take it on a short test flight but ended up touring most of the Portland area and some of the Columbia River Gorge X-Plane 10, SkyMaxx Pro 2.1, Real Terra Haze, HD Mesh v2, SimHeaven Portland, freeware airport scenery for 2S6, KTTD and 7S3.

Hello there. I have been watching this part of the forum for a while, and I am impressed by the level of quality that is shown. Although it feels like new posts aren't as frequent as they used to (could be Christmas-related, lol), so I thought i should share som screenies from my own virtual world. These pictures are originally postet in my "home-forum" (norwegian). Straight from the V-key

  16. My wife and I used to fly RW together all the time. Our first dates were in a plane, but she doesn't get too excited about my 'PC simming' flights. Last night, after 24 years, she decided on her own to sit down and watch my landing, at our home field of Savannah Georgia. Of all times for something to go wrong.... I noticed that I was missing a green light for the left gear. Me, being mindless as I am, thought "Well, RealAir didn't model gear failures, did they? It can't really be a gear failure" Wrong.... A gear failure it was. And cycling the gear numerous times didn't help. So I decided to try an alternate gear extension, but as far as I can find, alte…

Shalom and greetings all my pals, Last summer there was a nasty forest fire in Siskiyou County in northern California where I was using firebombers DC-4 taking off from KMFR Medford Airport flying across Sisjiyou Country to drop loads of fire retardant and head to land on KRDD Redding for reloading of fire retardant and then fly back across the same forest to drop load on way to land on KMFR and back and forth. Flying formation to head to forest fires to stop it Passing a town that needs protection from forest fires Approaching mountains toward the forest fires Time to dive-bomb and attack forest fires Forest fire bombing to stop fires Going f…

  18. Following a lengthy discussion here about how close aircraft can fly to the poles I decided to take FS Labs' Concorde-X on a hop from Helsinki, Finland to Anchorage, Alaska and test the rules. Fortunately Concorde with its INS navigation system uses TRUE headings, not magnetic so in theory passing close to the pole would not cause a problem. You may think this a strange route but Concorde's range of 4000nm does limit what routes it can take and as I wanted to get close to the pole this was a suitable one that would allow the aircraft to fly supersonic at both the departure and arrival ends without having to worry about laying a sonic boom across populated areas. H…
