The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum

Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here.  Please follow image posting rules (below).  Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).

Screenshot Image Posting Rules

  • Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own.  See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
  • Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
  • Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
  • No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
  • AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
  • Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

At KDFW, busy on the ramp this morning, Getting loaded up for her flight Hopped on the wing to get this shot of the loader.... Time for the walk around...past the nose, looking back at that huge GE powerplant...looks...well....HUGE! Checking out the wheels, tires, brakes, hyd. lines, gear bay, doors...etc Inspecting the Vertical stab/rudder as a Spirit A320 jets off to its destination.... Coming around the port side...walk around almost done (Good...COLD in Dallas this morning...and may even need deicing!) …

Whoever knows a bit about Hawaii can guess that this means I fly around Maui, and whoever does not, has unfortunately no clue, what I am talking about -_- I am here parked at Kapalua airport close to the Honokowai village, which we will see shortly after take-off at the North-Western shore of Maui. The flight east to Maui’s main airport Kahului is short, but highly interesting. Below one can see part of the Honokowai village. Of course there has to be a golf course There is a short and direct way to Kahului, but we won’t be taking that today. We head straight for adventure Ok gents, fasten your seat belts and put your seats in an upright position …

  14. Here I am in the Eclipse v2.0, heading south down the coast of California, from San Fran, to San Diego, with the beautiful mountain terrain provided by Andras Fabian's, HD mesh v3.0, and his UHD mesh v1.0 where it is scheduled to display itself. Folks...XPX, in my opinion, has the most realistic HDR display features ever to be within a simulator. Just look at how gorgeous the shadows, and spectral light displays upon the Eclipse, as well as the terrain below. It is seriously becoming my first flight platform of the day! With the free-ware from such generous and gifted patron/artists, (at payware quality) flowing in daily to the platform...and with absolutely no ne…

Hi there! Today, something a little different. I took the Carendo Stationair around Sion. The scenery you see here is OSM Europe, HD mesh v2 (superb performance, still very pretty), treelines and farms v2, UrbanMAXX 3D, tweaked art controls and MaxxFX. I hope you like them, and as always, comments are very welcome:

As embarrassing as it is to share this, figured maybe it would help others and myself learn a lesson. Over the years of flying on various simulators, I have always prided myself in trying to make my flights as realistic and safe as possible, as if there were real lives on board. Last night I decided to depart Boca Raton, FL since there was ATC available and do a short IFR flight, shooting ILS approaches at KFLL, KMIA, then full stop to KPBI. It was extremely windy with 25 knot crosswinds so I had my hands full in a light aircraft the BE60 Turbine Duke, as well as scattered cloud layers obstructing the airfield in the dark. I am usually really good about followin…

  21. We are not going to allow several posts of images inside of one topic anymore. It is very difficult for our moderators to police the topics as some of the topics are over 100 pages and it is difficult to police any inappropriate behavior. The image posting rules located under the Forums tab above or in my signature below will be enforced. Let's have one topic, with an appropriate subject, with a one set of images (not to exceed 20). Members can then respond to each topic as appropriate but cannot add more images to the topic. A new topic will have to be started if you have more images you would like to display. If there are multiple posts with images inside one topi…

Hi fellow simmers, we all have our imaginations about how to fly. Imagine you "bought" an old Tu-134, choose your favourite livery, converted the interiour into a kind of aereal trailer and away! you fly, fleeing the middle European winter. Of course a Tu-134 has its preferences, so the journey will go east at first. The first leg: Leipzig EDDP - Budapest LHBP. Getting familiar with the plane. Second leg: Budapest LHBP - Kharkiv UKHH (obviously, there is no up-to-date scenery for Kharkiv with the new terminal, but the old one is the nicer).

With a decade to mature, and with all the add-ons, gizmos and gadgets available to us, FS9 looks nothing like how it started out 10 years ago. FS9 has aged like a fine wine. Why do we still fly FS9? Why not?? How's your FS9 looking lately?? (Post your screenshots, AVSIM screenshot rules apply.) Cheers!!
