The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum

Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here.  Please follow image posting rules (below).  Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).

Screenshot Image Posting Rules

  • Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own.  See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
  • Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
  • Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
  • No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
  • AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
  • Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

Bear with me - I'm still setting my new X plane installation up - but I thought I'd share some of the screenies I took on a recent flight around Dublin :) The first three pics are "real world", that I took while the South African registered Aer Lingus came for a spin over my place back in Summer. I can't find out where she ended up, but only a couple of weeks after arriving in Ireland she appears to have made her way over to the continent. No idea when she'll be back in Irish skies... But luckily enough I can at least take the virtual version for a spin :) Dun Laoghaire harbour in the background and Coliemore har…

Earlier today I posted some night shots of P3D and I was asked which do I prefer, Xplane or P3D. For me the answer is (if using Xplane's autogen), Xplane at night. I also added a few photoreal shots of Sedona, AZ and Oregon in the daytime. I do like P3D's airports at night, they are a little brighter, but the nighttime Xplane cities are just wonderful to behold. My nighttime shots here are out of Gaithersburg, MD, where I used to have a seasonal residence and office before moving to Arizona. Enjoy, John

After almost a year of having it parked, I decided to try if I can still start the Tu-134 (SCS v.2.0). I choose a short transcaucasian flight from UDYZ Yerevan to URMM Mineralnye Vody. Both airports are freeware from Avsimrus, as well as the mesh used. Dedicated to the weekly KuMi flight by the guys from Eulenandfriends.de. There will be much fun with all the switches. Taxiing: Taking off: Mt. Ararat: Over Georgia, viewing down to Ambrolauri area: Caucasus mountains: Mr. Elbrus far away to the left: Approaching into the "soup": Hills around Pyatigorsk …

Enjoying the Commander at night. My ex-boss, who I worked with designing Best Western's Website, was a pilot and he flew over Illinois at night. He had an electronic failure and had to land totally blind. Obviously he made it, otherwise he would not have been able to share the story. He quit flying after that. Wonder why? Many pilots say nighttime landings are just the worst, but I enjoyed mine when I flew with a friend in his Cessna.

  16. Hello, I took advantage of the Just Flight Black Friday bundles sale to pick up the DC-8 50-70, HS748, and Turbo Arrow. I took each for a spin this weekend: First up was the HS748, flying CYXY-CYDA, a flight still currently operated by the HS748 (though not for long...ATR inbound). On the Whitehorse ramp, getting ready for departure and kicking up snow while taxiing Enroute I guess that's the edge of the ORBX SAK Region...or some bizarre geological feature ;) Safely on the ground at CYDA Next up is the Turbo Arrow IV departing from ORBX LOWI Last…

Been out for a while with my real world flying (getting to grips with the 777! I must say the PMDG 777 prepared me very well). Anyway, here are some shots recently to get my mind off the "big jets". Cheers images for upload
