The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum

Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here.  Please follow image posting rules (below).  Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).

Screenshot Image Posting Rules

  • Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own.  See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
  • Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
  • Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
  • No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
  • AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
  • Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.
  1. Started by Chock,

I know that Double Ugly was the nickname of the F4, but it could apply to the ATL-98 just as easily lol. Still, it's a good cargo workhorse with excellent range and capacity, so much so I bought a second one to add to my Air Hauler fleet, which was delivered to my base in Liverpool in its former Red Cross colours. It's now been repaired from the severely damaged used condition it was in upon arrival and has been repainted in my airline livery, but here's one of it upon arrival before all that occurred, still in its Red Cross livery, at Liverpool alongside its sister, and another shot of sister ship G-CARV in the sunset earlier in the day, descending into another one of my…

A short trek from O85 (outside of Redding, CA) to Eureka, CA KEKA. I planned a higher cruise but clouds enroute kept me at 12,500. It became gloomy approaching EKA with raindrops falling on my wings on final. Why do I love flying out of California? In such a short distance, you cover such a variety of terrain, from farmland to alpine terrain, then to desert. You'll spot the glacier-carved canyon of Yosemite. I love the C550 because of its autopilot, arguably the best of all of Carenado's aircraft. I like it because it uses pitch to hold indicated airspeed, then locks on to the preselected altitude. Better than autothrottles in my opinion. Also the C550 is a great hand flyer, if there is one jet to get, the C550 is the one. John

  10. As the title says, with the announcement of AlpilotX HD mesh v4 for X-plane 11, I decided to give the default another chance. As many others I have been creating Orthos, but without overlays it is too flat, and with overlays you miss on the ground detail, sometimes it even clashes (seeing forests where the underlaying ortho shows fields, houses in the middle of forests etc). In these shots, I do use replacement clouds and sky colours from the org, I like the whispy look. Here it is, climbing out of Annecy, then overflying Geneva and lac Leman, I hope you enjoy and that you get inspired to also take a flight in this beautiful part of the Alps.

  17. Working with Sean per his avsim post (and a few other customers) towards a native installer for P3D v4. In mine I've also added Reality XP GTN 750's here, and I've got a small mod to get some VC buttons working (mainly direct to and home on #1) - that's all anyone should really need. Here's just a few pics. This allows use of the GUI config app from realair (so we don't have to do txt edits to change options) and includes the dawson x64 sound gauge so all sounds work. 19. Hi All, Been a long while since I painted an aircraft but got the bug to paint up something for the Q400 and what started as "just 1" ended up with 10 paints. All the logos were converted to vector images in Illustrator and brought into Photoshop and the colors are the actual CMYK values found on many of the University's websites. A lot of information gathering went into this "little" project :-) Here's all the tails I painted up and 9 of official liveries have been packaged up and uploaded to Avsim with 1 being left out so fingers crossed, it should be in the library tomorrow-ish given it's a holiday. Enjoy! …

I usually don't touch these sorts of planes... but this was on sale recently and it's one I've wanted for some time. You'll see some wrong indications on the instrumentation because I'm still a noob, but here's a flight from KMSP to KDLH, and I shot the RNAV Ry 27. Feel free to tell me what I'm doing wrong - and is there a way to set nose wheel steering to my pedals or ailerons? Using the mouse is annoying. And the blue lights -I see this on all my P3D stuff - anyone know why they are blue? 22. Just purchased all the Truscenery airports on their 50% off Black Friday sale and took the Challenger for a quick hop around the airport. Wow, outstanding scenery and very moody weather at this time of year: What a complete bargain for really high quality X-Plane payware scenery! Cheers, Jerome

  24. It's really incredible how developers like MisterX make such outstanding freeware scenery like KCUB available to the X-Plane community. Paired with some z17 ortho tiles XP11 looks really amazing. A short flight from KCUB (MisterX Freeware) to KRSW (Aerosoft Payware) with DDEN's beautiful Challenger 300: Thanks for watching! Cheers, Jerome

Oh boy, I've been needing some x plane time.... so much P3D lately (oh oh - it's fair to say I'm back with P3D on a regular basis thanks to the release of v4). But here's some neat XP11 shots - all default scenery, taken straight my my screenshot key and resized, not cropped (cameras are powerful in XP by default). This is a cool default C172 mod with dual Reality XP GTN's. Flew from EKA to RDD. About 45 min.
