I just had an HDD crash and lost ALL my FS2k2 stuff - 9Gb of it, lots of it unique to me as I play around a lot with AI, scenery etc.! And before anyone says anything I hadn't got a recent back up :(Anyhow I am on the very long road to recovery and have started to re-install my aircraft (of which I had over 450 for AI purposes alone!)and can't for the life of me remember what I have to edit in the *.air file to make them 'invisible' to the aircraft selection menu in the FS. Removing the panel folder doesn't work either!Any help would be greatfully received - thanks in advance.Peter Leadbeater,Air Pierre, Warrington, UK.

Maybe someone can give me a little direction here. I am using DFW by Simflyers, and want to use the overlay for it. I seem to have all airlines a/c going to the same one terminal (A) out of the four. I use a 7 overlay for Heathrow EGLL.The problem is when i use the overlay for terminal 4.When the aircraft has landed and taxi of the runway and contacts the ground freq to taxi to the gate. It just sits there and nothing happens.There are enough gates to taxi to.Whats the problem??Thanks for your answersRichard.

When I contact ATC, my pilot voice is not spoken. But ATC responds as if my message has gotten through just fine. My own messages don't even show up on screen as scrolling text.But all the ATC message do appear and are verbally spoken just as if my voice and messages have indeed been received just fine.This has just happed in the last couple of days and I have not been able to figure out what is going on.Any ideas for a fix???Happy Flying!Bill MolonyAtlanta GA USAUnder the 27L Approach to KATL--the busiest airport in the world :)

Does anyone have knowledge of KORD (Chicago O'Hare), as far as which runways are used for take-offs and landings (assuming there is some pattern to these). I'm aware that there are 6 runways at O'Hare, so there may be various combinations. This is for an AFCAD set of files to enable O'Hare to be even more realistic- this data may be captured already in some AFCAD source files, although I can't seem to find any in the AVSIM library.Also, some knowledge on which FS gates to use for AA and UA would be most helpful (I intend to add some gates, obviously).Thanks,Bruce.

Hi, I have Afcad v1.2 and i've been trying to add some gates to my home airport Piarco Intl. I was going fine until i suddenly lost the ability to add nodes of any kind. I can still add gates, but I can't attatch any connectors to them. Also, I saved it and ran FS but the AI aircraft were doing some crazy stuff.They started taxiing from their spots directly out to a hold short node on the other sied of the runway, completely ignoring the taxi nodes placed next to them.oh and 1 more small, teeny tiny problem. I tried to edit the afcad file TTPP.txt to try to fix an error I was getting when I tried to import the file, and now.........I HAVE NO AIRPORTS!!They're all gone, …

I'm in the process of beginning to do ATL for 4 runways (I know it's been done already, but I'm doing Simflyers) fro a few minutes, I even had 3 runways for departures! (anotehr overlay)I have a very preliminary version working- DAL all going to the SOuth side, everyone else to the North. Is tehr an easy way to mix up the departures for DAL- in the end, I'll have DAL North and South, Airtran Noth and South, and everyone else (on the 8-26 combo).Is tehre an easy way to make half of teh DAL MD80's go Norht side, and half go Southside? Hi,Getting problems with adding makes and models. The info is accepted but I still get messages saying its not there and when I test them I still don't get the required speech.On the example file it swaps the C175 & C177 around. However while they are in the voicefile it still give them the wrong way round when used in the config files.I think that the "labels" given to the updates are wrong as a decompilation shows the models as AC_TYPES while installed ones show as AC_MODEL and for the makes I get AC_TYPE while the installed show as ATC_TYPE.Can anyone help me, I'm trying to add a Hawk as a model and Douglas as a make. I'm seeing a great number of specific (real) airline flight plans in the AVSIM library, some relevant for only some airports. I also see some consolidated flight plans for several airlines together.Does anyone have a specific recommendation for AI flight plan file(s) for real airlines that I can compile with TTools? I'm experimenting with TTools and other utilities. I can get a base system of American Airlines fleet at KORD working very well. Then, I add a list of UA flights (also predominant at KORD)to FlightPlan.txt, and re-compile, although this file uses a much higher AC# sequence that I haven't changed (from the original authors). So, I expect to get a mix of UA and AA, within the limitations of gates, etc. However, the UA flights appear to totally over-power the AA ones (I would have thought that the AA ones, having a lower AC#, may have taken priority). Aircraft.txt contains all of the aircraft mapping OK.What's the priority order, if such a thing exists? And, is there a…

Hi all,I remember seeing this problem come up before, but cant find any reference to it.Anyway, total clean install of FS2002 then adding some of the project AI aicraft.I have followed the instructions, and the base files loaded first.However on startup I am getting the names of the aircraft shown, but no actual aircraft shown.Anyone remember this problem and its cure.The aircraft directory contains the 4 required files

I'm adding gates to KATL for my overlays and after saving, i get an error on import that TaxiwayPath( Not enough parameters in instructionI've even tried copying teh taxiway path info from a working version of the file and I still get th same error.All i'm doing is adding DAL's gates (all of the mainline gates, no ASa or reigonal) and I'll break them up later... atleat that's teh plan if I can get this to work. I would be obliged if someone explained to me what is the official policy regarding repaints of PAI models.I notice that there is request for such repaints not to be uploaded to other sites, but only to the PAI website. I tried the PAI A340 today and didn't land, it retracted the gear again after floating for about 3/4 of the runway and went missed.Is there any way to modify the PAI planes, other than replacing the .air and .cfg files with one from some other plane?thanksand sorry if it has been asked before...couldn't find it.

Hi!! I have a quick question. I'm new to AI traffic creation. Do we need to download third party aircrafts from the airlines we wish to be displayed on the AI traffic?And just edit the name (example #dal727) instead of the real name of the aircraft we insert into FS2002? Please let me know how to do it since I already got all the programs to add AI traffic but I don't know if I need to download a 727 from delta, 737, 747, 757 etc to be able to use it in conjunction with the Delta AI flightplans.Thanks so much in advance,Teo

Let me start by saying I don't really think Project AI needs a defense, but I do feel they need to be better understood. I see a LOT of posts both here and at their site that shows that most people know there is probably something very important happening there but yet are not sure exactly what it is and are very frustrated with it.First, keep in mind that their site is brand new--only a couple weeks old. I read some of the posts about planes filling up the parking and wanted to try this twist.1. I have been tweaking my download flight plans and have a nice selection of domestic flights/AI planes.2. I want to get them to fly more often, thus get at least some of them out of parking more often. Not to worried about realism, justwant More Planes/More of the time.3. If I set ALL FLIGHTS to Repeat = 6 Hrs I assume all the flights capable of 6 hour turnaround will fly 4 times a day.
