OK let's say I wanted to change my aircraft radius to an X value (using AITM for eample), lets say 5 meters, the reason for it is so that this aircraft could use anygate from small to large whatever...1. What I would expect after change like this is that aircraft then would take on anygate that has radius 5m or more2. when making it's 360 to "taxi out" a/c could be almost on top of another, let's say in case of two 747 park one beside the other, both with radius 5m, in small gates like this that are close to one another, however the aircraft will complete it's 360 because it thinks it's 5m in radius so even though visually it looks like it passes through the other aircrat…

I think a oft overlooked cause of low framrates is the number of flight plans. The first time i customized my flights I simply swapped out the default planes and put in 300 of my own planes, but I added no additinal flight plans - I kept the 23 or 25,000 original plans and I had little or no performance hit. WorldAI2 comes with about 41,000 flight plans, I am wondering where the number of active flight plans starts to hurt performance. This time around I am going to have about 500 aircraft and I am hoping I can keep the number of active flight plans to about 25 - 30,000 and still have acceptable frame rates. Well, after much persevering, I solved my problem of my Traffic Tools compiler crashing when adding an overlaid airport to my airports.txt file. I am running Windows XP, so I changed the compiler to run in Win98/ME compatibility mode. That solved the problem. I even created a flight for the overlaid airport and it works like a charm. Hope this might be useful to anyone who may experience the same problem. And thanks to all for your suggestions!

Hi to allI planned to use the Dash8 for some AI-flights. Therefore I first tried to fly this plane, but I was very surprised that I did not see the plane in the "select aircraft" menu of FS2K2. Is this a known fact or am I doing something wrong. I can't also select the Piper Cherokee. RegardsHenk

Hi! For the past several months, TTools have worked like a charm until today. For some odd reason, TTools is unable to find my FS2002 install. I even checked my registry and FS 2k2 was still there. Has anyone encountered this? If you did, what was solution? I really hate the thought about uninstalling FS 2k2. Julian

HowdyI need your advice. I have all the PAI auto installed schedules installed everything seems real good but of coarse many airports are quite sparse. I would like to get more airlines and schedules running but I remember the lengthy process it was pre PAI. I am currently working on a gmax scenery project and would hate to get sidetracked, devoting too much time to this but I feel I can't wait any longer for the rest of the auto-installers. So I ask, what is the best way to put it all together? Has anyone made available their PAI compatible flightplan and aircraft files for compiling ? Can it work that way ?SteveCYYZ

Last night I flew from KLAX to KSFO and the skies were filled with GMAX 707's, Convairs, and default traffic. This morning I downloaded AFG's gorgeous 737-800 and flew a circuit around KFLL only to find I was the only one in the air. I went to Chicago and the same deal. I had this problem once before and all I had to do was replace the traffic BGL with the one from the FS2002 pro CD#2. I even replaced the Traffic DLL and to no avail. I have no more traffic, so now I must start completely over by reinstalling FS2002pro. Does anybody know why FS Traffic is so sensitive to some new aircraft? For those who have not noticed, PAI has had a ton of files uploaded within the last 48 hours (probably between 150 and 250 aircraft):-jumpy . Files seem to be uploaded faster than I can download them :-bla . Most of the files are in the "unofficial repaints" section. I donwloaded all the self installers that was available from your website. It all works great!!!!! I just have some questions, how can the small traffic be reduced? I mean all the cessnas ect flying all over the place. I would rather have more Project Ai aircraft flying around. Secondly when will you have more self installers for download? I need help or some good advice about frame rates and AI traffic. I have had no problems with my frame rates when running with the original traffic.bgl file. I have a GeForce 3 (64M RAM) video card, 1.8Mhz Intel chip and 512M RAM. Now, with the original traffic.bgl file I was getting frame rates around 30-40 FPS with everything in the display settings on max. When I added a bunch of flight plans and more AI my frame rates bottomed out to 2-3 FPS. So, I downloaded one GMAX plane and replaced all the other planes that were used for AI with this one. I have read that GMAX planes are easier on frame rates. So I started FS up and still had the same results with the GMAX…

Anybody have any examples of a flight plan with flights that operate only once a week and not daily?

Everyone seems to agree that the PAI AI aircraft are the ones to use, especially with the ever increasing range of user repaints on the PAI site, but which set of flight plans do you recommend?The PAI plans have been "hand-optimised" for maximum aircraft usage I believe, but only cover a relatively small number of airlines. The WorldAI plans cover far more airlines, but may be less well optimised.I could also merge the PAI plans with those airlines from WorldAI which are not in the PAI set.I could even add some of the independently produced airline plans which are appearing in the file libraries, but I forsee lots of work in getting AC#'s to match correctly.I'd be intere…

I am not where exactly the conflict is but I will list what happened to me and maybe someone can figure it out. It got me.Yesterday, I managed to spend most of the day building my AI Traffic. I focused primarily on Canada and definitely have created a 'new sim'. I started off with all of the PAI aircraft then added a bunch from the WorldAI.Needless to say, I now had tonnes of Toronto (CYYZ) traffic. I imported the 4 files for the CYYZ Overlays by Dave Hazell (found in the AVSIM library) and all worked well. International, Air Canada and Cargo flights were in their proper 'Overlay'.I then accessed the AITM and this is where a conflict showed itself. I changed some aircraft…

I recreated my local airport using Airport 2.60 and in the process I moved the entire field about 1000 feet. I also created a new AFD file and had problems with FS2002 recognizing the new file.Using AFCAD, I deleted the original AFD file in the default scenery and replaced it with my AFD file by simply redirecting my file to the default scenery location.Now here's the problem and a question:The ATC recognizes all the new runways and parking areas as well as the progressive taxiways. hi guys,im making a new airport w/ fssc. im trying to enable atc at my new airport with afcad. i followed the help text and added tower and ground freeks and saved, but in fs i get a nearby airport instead of my new one on the radio. its nowhere to be found on the pop up widow,any ideas?
