I have downloaded some superb flight plans from http://www.mostrealisticai.com/ but I can't seem to get them to generate traffic in FS Traffic 2002, in FS2K2.Can anybody tell me how to get these wonderful flight plans to work in FS Traffic 2002? I have some excellent Airports in 2002 like Kansai, KSEA etc with very little traffic. I have installed some very nice AFCAD files, but have no traffic to take advantage of these great Airports. But unfortunately I cannot get these flight plans to work, despite the excellent installer. Not sure if this belongs in the Scenery forum but here goes:I am having a great time with the new AFCAD and TTtools for FS2004, all the small airfields can now have AI traffic, circuits etc. (even when they are surrounded by hills!) a great improvement on 2002.Now here's the problem, I have a runway which is about 200ft longer than the stock item, its a small strip and the AI planes have no problem backtracking and taking off properly (better than 2002), but I cannot persuade them to turn at the new longer runway, they still turn where the old runway finished.Tried exclude files (Defarea from Christian Fumey doesn't list a layer for runways) and moving start points et…

Hi,Been trying to get some aircraft with high cruise speed to perform touch and goes. These include the Learjet and other bizjets.I have found that these have a trend of taking off and just climbing out only to disappear.This produces two requests please1/ Is there a way of tracking them to see where they are going?2/ Does anyone know a way round this?I tried reducing the speed in the aircraft.txt file, that didnt work. Also noted in one case the Learjet did onr pattern but then disappeared off the map.MTIARgds Ron

When I open up AFCAD2, I get the message that the data on airports is being collected, but the left-side list remains blank. Searching for an ICAO code doesn't work either. I can open up an individual file and see the airport.Any ideas on what is not working?Joe

I have downloaded some AI military planes. The problem is that when they takeoff for a Touch n Go, ATC clears them but they stay on the takeoff heading and go AWOL into the distance not to return. It's not a problem with the airport, plenty of spaces etc for them to land, just that after being cleared to TNG or land they just fly away from the airfield. The flightplan is ok, if I change the plan to a default AI it works fine.Can anyone help me out please, it's getting frustrating..ThanksAnthony

Hi guys,Do you know why AI planes doesn't land for example at KMCO and KEWR, both simflyers sceneries??As soon they are 200-300 ft from touch down, they go missed!!!!In more than 50 landings I saw, one landed (a AA B752!!).Any suggestions? Is this anything to do with FDE from PAI?? I updated to V6, but nothing! Or maybe the ground height problem??Best to you all.Miguel

I'm having trouble with one particular flightplan in FS2004. I set the time 10 minutes ahead of when a scheduled aircraft (PAI B737-200 Westjet) is to arrive. There is no approach or landing at all .. the aircraft just suddenly appears at the assigned parking spot. Another type of aircraft I have assigned going to this spot works fine. Anyone have any ideas on what the problem might be?TIAVern

Im having trouble getting an aircraft to do TNG's.Here's what i have:AC#24,N4963G,50%,24Hr,VFR,06:59:46,TNG09:59:56,000,R,1002,F70,13:59:53,TNG14:59:49,000,R,1002,F70The aircraft will do only one circuit and then park. It will not do TNG's within the time frame alotted.Any help appreciated,

Are there any military traffic packages available along the lines of the airline packages? It'd be cool to see F-16s, F-15s, F/A-18s, C-5s, C-17s, etc. flying around the various air force bases... And it'd be neat to get the ANG F-16s at the local airport.I'm guessing not, since I haven't seen any AI-optimized fighter models.

I live in Alaska and am working on getting the Airports here more realistic by using AFCAD. Because alot of the airports don't have taxiways to the hold short, I was wondering if there was a way to get the traffic to backtaxi down the runway.Thanks Dave

Currently I use PAI. I am somewhat happy with it, but dont feel as though the airports are represented well enough. Im thinking about buying UT, but am not sure what the differences will be. What will UT bring to the table that PAI doesnt? Is it worth it? Also, is there a way to know if a AI plane is parked at the gate before you pick the start gate? Today I was at my saved gate at ORD (C26) and i loaded it up. There was a plane directely behind me. I couldnt pushback. Any advice?Brad

Ok, i hate the default ATC in FS9. It drives me crazy. They have you contacting 3 different approach controls before you get to the airport, no SIDS/STARS, ect...I like online flying, but dont like the fact that there are not too many people flying at once, no traffic. With that being said, I fly on my own, with my own route, SIDS/STARS, approaches and so on. Is there a way to make it so my flight has priority? For example, a plane waiting to t/o will wait for me to land instead of going on the runway? I feel that since I am not doing an ATC flight, these planes dont know im there. I have the following strange problem, and I would appreciate your suggestions as to how to solve it:I am referring to some custom AFCAD I have created for LIRN ( Naples, Italy)When aircraft land on runway 24, once they slow down, instead of taxiing ahead to the next available turnout (there is one), they make a 180 degrees turn and head back for the previous turnout!Why doesn't this occur at every runway? What is so special with LIRN? Is there something I can do about it?RegardsStamatis

I'm really enjoying this mew version, although I have one small suggestion for a change in the next version.While the mouse-drag option is really handy, it's (IMHO) a bit conter-intuitive. If you press the 'right' arrow, the display moves to the right (ie objects out of view on the right come into view). However, if you drag the mouse to the right, objects out of view on the left come into view (ie the opposite to the cursors!). Would it be possible to make the movement logic the same? Sorry if nobody else thinks the same....M

Here is what is going on in FS9: I downloaded every US carrier and some International Carriers from project AI. I also downloaded their default general aviation and commercial uninstallers. I got the installer program and loaded everything. Problem 1) the default planes are still there. I dont want that!! At the same time I got AFCAD and about 30 US airport files. All of these have the realistic gates with the real airplanes. Problem 2) when going to airports with the news AFCAD file there (LGA, CVG, FLL, DTW, busy airports) there is nowhere near the amount of traffic there should be. I have TTools 2.02 and Ultimate Traffic. My questions are - 1) If I use TTools to modify my plans and compile with TTools will UT remove my aircraft and flightplans when I compile with UT? 2) If I add an AFCAD2 to the addon scenery will UT use it? I am using FS2004. Thanks, regards, Bob.

I made an AFCAD at KBUR and added some general aviation parking spaces. When I went to KBUR in FS2004 there was no progressive taxi. I deleted the AFCAD and retried with the stock bgl. It has progressive taxi. How can I enable progressive taxi in AFCAD2? Thanks, regards, Bob.

I added a few new parking areas and a Tower with Comm Frequency at my favorite local airport.After saving and starting FS9, the parking areas are showing up in the selction list, and the Tower is clearing me for take-offs.But, none of the traffic I have set up in TTools is coming or going.I have saved correctly (apparently), restarted FS9, even rebooted my machine ... to no avail.I'm thinking I have missed something in the "Read Me".Any help would be appreciated.Thanks ...

I tried several times and for a long time to modify OLRA to add 6 HEAVY gates to it. I had a terrible time getting the correct nodes lined up.Would appreciate it if somebody could modify OLRA for me with active 6 HEAVY gates.Thanks.Abe
