im new to fs2002 i cant get my addon aircraft to show up as ai traffici have tried using ttools ect ect and the other so called easy to use programs, it allways takes all my traffic away there must be a simple way, the instructions are to complecated i dont have a printer to view them with can someone please help

I just installed FS9 this morning, and face the daunting challenge of recreating the elaborate flying environment that I have created for FS2002. I have a lot of GA traffic/flightplans for FS2002 that I created with GA_Maker. Are these flightplans compatible with FS9. And what about AFCAD files? I know there is a new AFCAD, and that there are some features of FS9 facilities not compatible with FS2002. I'm going to get the new AFCAD, and presumably I'll learn something reading the docs. But any insight anyone can give on whether I can use my old flightplans will be appreciated.-Basil

Hello everyone! I was approaching KPDX on Rwy 28L when I noticed that I was approaching the airfield a bit too far north, even though the ILS needle was centered. Using the latest AFCAD2 program, which also shows NAVAIDS, I was able to see that in the corresponding .bgl file (avsim.com add-on) the aligment seems quite alright, respecting magnetic variation as well as runway alignment. Interestingly, the back course rwy (same freq.) works just fine in FS. I tested the ILS approach in slew mode as well. I'm still off to the north a bit. Whereas it doesn't seem incorrectly installed, as I've pointed out, could it still be that the .bgl file is somehow corrupted? Thanks for t…

I downloaded the new FSPainter 747 "base pack" at thw weekend and set about installing it into FS9... the only problem was that the RR model of the 744 did not display at all, and the GE models (which did display in the aircraft selection menu) caused FS9 to crash.BTW, I had edited their respective ".Air" files to make them flyable, for testing purposes.Anyone else had this problem?

Dear simmers,I have created a new airport using AFCAD (latest version), place it in fs9, works ok except that some trees are on the parking area.So, i tryed -using FSSC- to flatten this area. But it does not work.The trees are always there.I have tryed/checked everything. Altitude, coordinates, the two methods of flattening (Area 16N, Flatten [scenery.cfg]). Well, I added a bunch of AFCAD files to FS2002, ran a check on each one in AFCAD, scannec the .bgl files for errors (No errors), BUT Most airports do not list ANY runways, parking locations in the go to airport drop down.....I suspect a bad AFCAD file, but all scans and checks in AFCAD and SCANBGL say there is not a prob. My AI all shows up and I am starting to pull my hair out!!!! John Hogan

Hi! I download this package(Nippon_Cargo_Package.zip) and install it, but for some reason, I can't see the AI plane at airport. The GMT time should be correct, and I check the title of each aircraft and match correctly. Does anyone know what else could be the problem? Maybe this is a better forum to post this in. (I started a related thread a week ago in the main MSFS forum that didn't turn up anything very helpful.)I'm going crazy trying to get ATC to refer to AI traffic by their call signs. Below I am going to post portions of three aircraft.cfg files where I get three different results in how ATC communicates with the AI aircraft. In the first case, it works. In the second case, I get ATC referring to it as "Boeing Nxxxx" (where Nxxxx is the registration number). In the third case, I just get ATC using a registration number ("JAxxxx"). I have downloaded soem AI aardvark aircraft however I am wondering if I have done this right. Also is there a program I can download to make Delta, US Airways, Continental, etc. fly their normal routes? Also I see pictures of airports with many,many AI aircrafts with different company paint jobs and I was wondering how you can get this to happen for squawkbox flights and normal FS 2004 ATC flights?? I understand that Project AI Aircraft are the same as Project AI Aircraft, in terms of their models. Why is it, then, that you need to convert PAI textures for use in UT? Does this give a saving in FPS?If not, is it worth updating PAI/UT Aircraft with AI Aardvark or FS Painter aircraft, which are generally regarded to be kinder on FPS and visually a better quality?Cheers in advance.M

Surely this question has appeared before, but searches have turned up nothing, so forgive me if this is old hat.When requesting take-off clearance, why do some commercial AI aircraft include their destination and some do not? Examples: "Seattle tower, Horizon 2289 ready to go, Runway 34R, IFR to Pocatello" and "Seattle tower, Horizon 2376, ready for IFR departure, runway 34R". These are actual examples from flight plans imported from www.mostrealisticai.com.There must be a parameter set in one of the bgl or cfg files that controls the format of the clearance request. I've created several flight plans now using ttools and they've been working great. I recently started a homebuilt cockpit, so I no longer need the 2D cockpit views so I've been turning them off. Unfortunately I've noticed that when the cockpit goes, so does the AI. The strange thing is that they're actually still there in every other view(i.e. spot, VC, and tower.) If I bing the 2d panel back the planes come back. How can I fly without 2D panels, but still see my ttools added AI aircraft. I currently have the AI planes in the aircraft folder of FS2004. Hi FolksJust a quick question and my apologies if it appears stupid but i installed FS2004 along with Afcad 2.21 last weekend and am really impressed with what Lee has done to give you the added bonus of creating additional tarmac, aprons etc, but in the program is there a taxiline itself ie if you look at the exterior of the aircraft you can see the 'parking bay; which was designed for it and it you look in top down view you can see the pattern, but is there anywhere or anyway you can put in the line that the aircraft's front wheel actually follows. Anye help as always would be appreciated.Tom

I want to know, why AI aircrafts are not landing at one aieport. There are enough parking for them, but they approach above altitude and report go around to the ATC or the ATC tell them to go around. What things can cause this happens? Thanks.

Currently I use Project AI for my AI planes. It works out ok, but I want to incorporate mostrealistic ai flight plans. Yet when I do the installer, i get messages saying either they cannot find the plane associated with the airline (which is there since I installed the PAI package) or I get an error saying there are problems with .air files and such. How can I get around this so I can get more flights? Do I need AI-AARDVARK? Thanks, please be as detailed as possible.Brad

I was adding some AI traffic, and came across this problem, Ttools(v2.02) is Giving me this error when trying to compile..."the altitude format is bad(should be 0 to 1023)"The error idenifies line 38, but does NOT show in "red" where in line 38 the error is. Hi AllJust trying to pre-empt a situation which arose when i was running FS2002 and somehow managed to lose all the AI traffic that i had in my traffic.bgl. I ended up getting the missing deafult.dp file from one of my FS2002 disks and placing it in the aircraft folder and hey presto it worked.My question is that i have now installed FS2004 and it appears that there is nowhere to be seen a default.dp file. Is the AI traffic in FS2004 handled differently as i am trying to make up a back up set of fs2004 files to keep stashed away elsewhere on my hard drive in case something like this happens. Does the file still exist or has it changed name or indeed has it been done away …

andrew/ramsgateHi all .I am new to all of this so please excuse me if my question seems silly!.I hav installed all of the PAI packages ,so I decided to add some Fedex flt/plns as well.All seemed ok with KMEM packed with FedEx.The problem is when I compiled T/Tools some of my packages were "thrown out". It took some effort to find out which ones but I did in the end (RyanAir/Northwest). So I the used the installer to put them back in. Now all OK.My question is everytime I want to add traffic of my own what is the best way to do this, without this problem occuring again?Hope I have made myself clear.Thanks in advance

I started using TTools earlier today. I have read in the forum about a problem that I have been having: That being, if you have an aircraft set for a once a day flight (24hrs), it does the flight and then just sits there all day until taking up the slot until the next day when it takes off. I have an aircraft that I want to do 2 flights in one day - one starting at 0830 and another at 1900. I programmed this in twice, thus creating 2 aircraft sitting there until the flight time - basically wasting a gate.Is it possible to program the one aircraft to do the 2 flights as seperate legs. So that it starts at Heathrow at 0830 goes to Newcastle, leaves Newcastle 1230 and return…

After the recently release of the BGLCOMP SDK I started my 'GA AI Traffic generator' project. Part of this project is to examine every airport BGL file (Stock and usermade) and count the numbers/types of GA parking places. The programm should be able to manipulate the GA traffic at airport level up to global world settings. For showing airport data I tried to read the ICAO (called identifier in the SDK) of the airport BGL. But there is a problem, MS used 4 Bytes to store the 5 charcters you could use for the identifier. I found that they use only capatials and numbers, so they could use a 7 Bit code. But if I loock with a hexeditor I couldn't identify the coding MS did. I…
