This is the second time I have had this problem - the first is described here (when I thought, I see now probably incorrectly, that this only affected PMDG a/c):http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...ing_type=searchI suddenly noticed (this is in FS9.1) that when sat on a runway my ND displays, and also FS Navigator, were showing incorrect information. In other words, if I am on a Rwy 18, which for argument's sake let's say has an exact heading of 180 degs, my instruments and FS Navigator will show a heading of 150 degs. I have generated a couple photosceneries with Maps2bgl. I'd like to distribute one of them as freeware via the AVSIM file library, but have two questions:1. Can I do this legally with Google Earth as the image source? (I've been reading the forum, and it seems that the last time someone asked, the answer was NO. Just asking in case this has changed.2. Hello,I downloaded some EZ Scenery Objects and I installed them as written in the manual but they do not appear in the EZ Tool in FS9.I copied the bitmaps to the Add On Texture Folder and the .bgl files to the Add On Scenery Folder, as written in the manual but they do not appear in my FS9Any Ideas what is wrong?Many thanks for any helpbest regards

I have one or two sceneries installed in which all the airport buildings disappear if you pan round in spot view. The latest is a new scenery for DAOO. If you look head-on at the terminals, all is fine, but if I pan to the right slightly the whole lot vanishes. This only happens when the a/c is parked in certain parts of the apron, near the right-hand end of the buildings.Is there a way to fix this by editing any of the files, or other? OK.. I am back here again with another problem. I have spent the whole day today trying to get this thing to work. I even searched FSDevelopers.com and read though like 20 threads on this same subject and I think I have tried them all and I still am not getting a see through fence with Transparent texture.I get a sold black instead of transparency.I created a simple fence like object and applied a material with id with (***trans***) in it. Hi Folks I've been making my own textures using Photoshop 7, putting in lighting with Paint Shop Pro and making the textures suitable for FS9 with Image Tool. However, I can't figure out how to make the ground light textures for under my street lights or the see through textures for a chain link fence. Is there some documentation out there that I can access to help me do this? Regards, Ken

I am a scenery design newbee who is trying to create sceneries from scratch (i.e. creating objects, airports, textures, mesh, etc). I am at the "tutorial" stages or outset of understanding the basics of scenery design. The tools I've got "ready" to start designing includes gmax 1.2, sbuilderX, adobe photoshop cs3, various photographs, FSX Object Placement Tool (activated), downloaded SDK updates from microsoft (I already installed SDK from my Deluxe CD), and downloaded numerous tutorials from godzone and scruffyduck sites.In addition to the above, kindly add other tools or programs that are MUST-HAVEs to effectively start designing.In addition to these, I need to know whe…

I have done my local airport, everything is fine. The problem is that I have a big square area that doesn't match the default tiles.To solve this, I try to fill in around the airport using pure white to cover up everything that I don't want to show up so that it will blend in better with the default tiles. I then save the white area to an alpha channel within the .tga before I compile everything.Once back in FS, the airport is there in the right shape that I cut out, but now filled with water in some tiles. Everything outside of it is white, all the way to the square borders. It is like the white is not being recognized as transparent, not letting the default tiles show t…

To the right is a special 30cm/pixel photo at the highest scenery library priority and to left is 1.2m/pixel at the next lowest priority. Because of the different coloring I want to "blend" them. I have, until now, shied away from Alpha Channels. However, this seems to be a time for one. I imagine the process is simple. I have Gimp and DXTBmp. I am drawing a big curving apron. I don't know how to make a hollow one just like donut, so I make it like "C" and move the both edge very cloesly, then it looks like "O". Depend on this - keeping "Insert new point", I draw this big apron with one long circle, but something strange happen, in some place I can't activate the green diamond vertex into yellow, say I can't move them ever. I'm working on my second fictional airport and I need some help adding some lights to the airport on/around the terminal building. I started designing the airport in FSX Planner, placed some buildings with Whisplacer 0.9, then merged these into one .xml and added some finishing touches with ADE. What I am wanting to do is place some light poles around my airport that light up the ground (i've tried looking, but I get confused early on).Also, is anyone willing create approaches for this airport? Ok..I managed to create a Ground Poly and apply texture to it and then placed it on my scenery for the runway. However, I have a couple of Qs.1. Do I need to apply material to the poly before applying the texture?2. I have that Specular shine on the runway. I need a matte finish. What do I need to do to get rid of the bloom/specular effect on ground Poly?3. Since texture needs to be a square 512 or 1024 etc, What do I need to do for runway texture? the runway is long. So It uses one long strip of the square texture wasting valuable texture realestate. Can I have a long bmp instead of square bmp?4. Gents,I'm not sure if this is the right forum to ask these questions but...For those of you who have gone to Cuba in real life, you should agree that the scenery is spectacular! That said, the default FS9 scenery is, well, let's just say, it leaves a bit to be desired. I came across Toni Agramont's Cuba_FS9 and Cuba_2004 scenery package, that sort of made up for it all. However, I did come apon a CTD error just outside of his Havana, to which I can't figure out why. Has anyone come across this? I am working on scenery for Beijing. I have added the new terminal, runway, and taxiways. I would like to correctly name the new links, but in the properties' dorp down identifier menu, the letters I need are not there. I only get like A-Jwhich is only the identifiers used in the default airport, but I need the whole alaphabet. Is there any way to add available taxiway idents to AFX?

I have asked this before but I am hoping to get a different answer. Somewhat like the definition of insanity.I have photoscenery BGL files that are 500mb in size. They load ok into the Annotator. Zoom in and you may be able to pan about and find an airport. You can plant trees and install buildings, etc. The question is which airport is it? There seems to be absolutely no relationship in Annotator to any geographic reference. That is you open a photoscenery BGL file in Annotator you do not know where you are unless you recognize a landmark or the BGL is small enough for you to pan around for a known area. With 3gb of large BGLs it would take extreme patience to look for a…
