Hi guys, i mainly use Ez scenery creator to make and build scenery's, i have created a few aircraft carriers, what i need at this point is lights for the aircraft carrier and meatball guage, not the one's inside the panel of the aircraft but one on the outside.If anyone can help me here it would be greatly appreaciated.

Using Instant Scenery, I would like to create two scenery versions of the same airport in FS9 and FSX. First, I'd like to keep my stock or default airport as is with just a few modifications. For the second version, I'd like to create a full blown airshow scenery package. Is it possible to have two versions of the same airport loaded in FS9 or FSX?Thanks!

Hi,hope you can help.I'm using FS2004 with XP, I have installed LAGO Venice scenery merged with freeware ISD LIPZ airport. Hi,Have been using AutoAsm recently with Slartibartfast to try to make some "fixed" terrain (coastlines and lakes) to go with some Lod 7 mesh I had made of Alaska. Have found AutoAsm to be great for making flat lakes at roughly the correct elevation automatically but for some reason although the VTP Bgl file is made and shows up in LWMViewer they coastlines for the lakes never show up in flight simulator. Have tried:different layer numbers for the line typedifferent textures for the line typelabelling just Vtp instead of both for the line typecopying the line type (width, texture layer etc.) from the one in "demo" or "island" demosusing the "image edges(?)" tool (with lan…

One of the more annoying "features" of FSX is the automatic insertion of blocks of forest textures on slopes. This is particularly disturbing to see on agricultural fields when a square block of forest appears in a field. I guess that the assumption is that no farmer will tend to fields that exceed a certain slope.FTX (Australia) seems to have solved this issue with their Tasmania free scenery package. Nice clean fields are shown on slopes without blocks of forest appearing. Does anyone know how this is done? I can not get the program to install at all. Everytime I try, I get a window with the message " The installation path contains blanks, please change the path". The path shown is C:ProgramFilesMaps2BglI can find no blanks in that path and I have changed it to everything I can think of, but nothing works. What am I doing wrong?ThanksHoward

I am building a scenery for the new Panama City-Bay County International Airport in northwest Florida.I used FSTflatten and it looks like it worked, but there are "holes" that my airplane falls through.This is what happens. One minute I am on the T/O roll and the next I see this.What am I doing wrong?Thanks for any help.Brian

Hi folks, firstly hello to everyone here as I've not posted before :) I'm wondering if someone can tell me in simple terms, how I would go about creating some very simple house objects, using my own textures, and place them in FS? I'm very confused by this whole compiling thing - but my common sense tells me the best way would be to create some library objects using something like GMAX, and then place them in FS using EZ Scenery Creator or something like that. If someone could let me know if I'm along the right lines, and which tools are the best to use to do the job, I'd be extremely grateful!Cheers all,Tim F

Hi guys, i'm having a strange problem in FSX, i tryed a lot of things to try and solve it, like for example making a repair installation, reinstall service packs, etc... but with no success. The problem is that in London Heathrow the runways are not leveled with the rest of the terrain, it seems that they have a hole the size of the runway. It's kind of hard to explain, so i'm sending two separate images for you to get an idea of what i'm talking about. There is a perfect software to join images from the google earth?I recently save the images on the google earth pro in a 4800 x 3960 pixels resolution but its just impossible to join two images for example.They dont get align!Another problem its when a work with the photoshop.It only accepts image about 10000 x 10000 pixels!Soul, what to do to join the pictures in FSX?I use the photoscenery maker but i have to say : IT'S TO HARD TO USE IT!Anyone can help-me?Best regards!

Hi,The airport of Ostend (EBOS) Belgium has been enhanced. All taxtiways are now made in GMAX. The scenery is also available for the new FS. Could anybody create scenery for Buffalo Niagara International Airport scenery for FSX? I dont have a clue how to design scenery!!! It is a very small airport and the only scenery for it that is currently on the web is for FS9. If you cannot create the terminal bulding, could somebody at least create an updated AFCAD which would include the lengthened runway? It is a very small airport in Western New York State with one 26 gate terminal and two runways, one for airline traffic and one for GA traffic. hi to all,I supposed that closing by AFCAD for TO or LDG the PRIMARY or SECONDARY direction of a runway the ATC stops to clear traffics to TO or LDG on the closed directions.On the contrary I discovered that the TO or LDG closed directions continue to be used normally without any consequence.There's some tip to force ATC to apply what has been selected by AFCAD?Thanks

Hi all,I am in the midst of designing some basic scenery enhancements, and need a quick hand. My primary tools are SBuilderX and the Airport Design Editor. (I am also using Instant Scenery to place more specific items, but it doesn't have a generic-enough building to fit my need) I need to create some "customized" generic-style buildings. I'd like to use the generic FSX building textures, and I only need to customize the length, width, height (and if possible, the gable height). very basic, almost autogen like buildings - just custom in size and location. Hi all. I am looking to create an AFCAD file for RAF Mount Pleasant in the Falkland Islands. The default AFCADs in both FS9 and FSX do not have any ILS enabled runways, but I have seen suggestions that at least one runway does have an ILS in real life. I would be grateful if somebody could confirm this, and even more grateful if someone could provide details, i.e. which runway(s), whether it has ILS localiser only or has glideslope and DME facilities, back course etc. And of course up-to-date frequencies/identifiers.Thanks,Philip Dawson.

Hi all, I am new at scenery design. Having read a lot of previous posts, as well as Terrabuilder Tutorial, here is what I did:1) Satellite picture resized in multiples of 256 horizontally and vertically.2) Colours reduced to 256. Image then saved as an 8-bit bitmap.3) With the Terrabuilder Wizard, opened the bitmap, assigned coordinates, and appropriate scenery tiles were added.4) No joy.5) Verified additional tools for Terrabuilder.6) Looked at File Properties for other scenery, and noticed 32 bit textures. Used FS2000 ImageTool to transform 8 bit textures to DTX1 format. Still no joy.7) The tutorial states to not add the scenery to scenery.cfg from within Terrabuilder, …

All,I've started re-doing my McGuire AFB scenery. Before I convert the texture files, I can see the texture correctly in GMAX.I use either DXTbmp or Convim to convert the BMPs to Extended/DXT1 or FS70 DXT1 Bitmap. When I look in GMAX, the texture is gray so I know it was converted.But when I go into FS9, the hangars are all gray.Any thoughts?
