Hi to all, I've experienced a problem recently which has affected the Taxiway lights (Blue). I've installed the Light_Fix available for download on Avsim which consist of: Replace fx_strobe.fx and fx_strobeh.fx in Effect folder with the supplied one in the zip file Replace fx2.bmp in Effect/Texture folder with supplied one in the zip file Replace halo.bmp in Texture folder with supplied one in the zip file Add in the FSX.CFG these lines: [DISPLAY] RUNWAY_LIGHTS_SURFACE_SCALAR=0.9 //Runway Lights RUNWAY_LIGHTS_VASI_SCALAR=0.9 // VASI Lights RUNWAY_LIGHTS_APPROACH_SCALAR=0.9 // Approach Bars RUNWAY_LIGHTS_STROBE_SCALAR=0.9 // Strobes Did all the abov…

Hi, Hopefully someone knowing how to make soundfiles for FSX reads this..... I am developing DTNH, a relatively new airport in Tunisia that is not yet in FSX. In was opened in 2007 as DTNZ but only recently the name and ICAO code have been changed. So now it is DTNH. Most European holiday flyer go there this year. It is called Enfidha - Hammamet Intl and I must assume ATC is called Enfidha Tower, - Approach etc. But, FSX does not recognize Enfidha yet. Can someone make and upload the sound file for EditVoicePack so we can add these to FSX? Thnak you!

I was a beta tester for Flight1's recently released Instant Object Studio. For those who think it's only capable of "basic" buildings, I'm posting these pics. The building in the top pic was made using Sketchup. The second pic is the same building made using Instant Object Studio. Factoring in that I'm much more familiar with Sketchup, I'd say the time to make each building was about the same. Don't be deceived by its ease of use....Instant Object Studio is capable of some very sophisticated work, and new features are already being worked on. Hi guys, (Using ADE) I am working on a scenery area and I have worked out that the default lake polygon can be excluded with specific 'hydro polygon default lake perennial' (or somesuch naming). However there is part of a nearby shoreline which I just can't exclude. Can you firstly tell me what shoreline exclude polygons I should be trying? Now, that other shoreline I want to exclude does disappear when I use general Water Polys and Waters Polys GPS. However, this also converts the adjoining ocean area to land (it excludes the water completely). So I know what the default base scenery file is (cvxXXX.bgl) and when I load it in TMFviewer it only tells me that the isl…

I have an FSX scenery bgl file that has multiple objects in it. I can use BGL2XML to see what is there. It gives the GUID numbers. Is there a way to visually display the objects and edit the object locations? I want to move a building, a vehicle and some boxes. Thanks, regards, Bob.

Hi everyone. I have just downloaded FSX terrain mesh for Syria from FSGenesis (with the discount code on their site, the price was roughly $5. I didnt need to think twice about this one!). Anyway, I downloaded it and noticed that all of the airports in Syria seemed to be raised on plateaus of some sort. This includes both the default airports and the one third party airport that I have in Syria (for Damascus international OSDI). I did a bit of reading online, and I found out that this was occurring because the airport elevation was set higher than the surrounding terrain. Hello all, Ive been looking for some airport scenery for Niagara Falls, NY airport and haven't found much of anything. I recently purchased Aerosoft's Buffalo/Niagara cities hoping the Airport would be up-dated but it wasn't. I was wondering of someone can throw together some cheap scenery of the terminal building and adding 2 FSX jetways to it, just something to get by, Even an AFCAD update would be fine. The airport has recently seen an increase in scheduled passenger flights from airlines like Spirit, Allegiant and the now de-funked Direct Air. I've flown out if IAG 3 times (twice with Direct Air and 1 with Allegiant) and i would love if someone did this scenery. …

Hi, I'm in need of help. I'm trying to place VOR and NDBs around Sweden (old ones not existing today) but can't seem to do it. I tried scasm first and that generates a bgl file but when I the VOR doesn't show up in FS9. Then I tried bglcomp and a xml file that I pretty much ripped of the default scenery file containing VORs using a decompiler. That one doesn't even compile to a bgl file though. I've run Sbuilder & get a message telling me FS9 doesn't exist on my computer. It does thus C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\FSGW3\fs9 How do I get sbuilder to recognise it? I have Windows 7 & FS2004 as GoldenWings3 & it runs very smoothly.

I've noticed when FS Earth Tiles generates the night lighting it lights the area on the airport field where there shouldn't be any, and lights in mountainous areas as well. Is there a way to correct this? Another thing can the brightness be turned down? Does anyone fly at night using night lighting generated with FS Earth Tiles? Todd

Hey guys, I am renaming 55J (Fernandina Beach Muni) to its new KFHB and some other changes. When I save the new file, both appear in my airport lists, and both AFCADs are laying on top of eachother in the sim. Is there a way to delete the 55J?

For a long time, I think that the airport ground in most of the tropical region in fsx is too dull. So I decided to make some nice grass and place them in SKVV Colombia. This is the vid showcasing my first piece of scenery design, placing grass, photo scenery with new autogen and a river near the airport near rwy04. Just like to collect some comments from you guys. Please let me know what you think. And if you know any airport that that has been added with grass like this, please point me to the link. Thanks.

I have created scenery using SBuilderx for the area around the Colorado River near my residence. I have made water masks and it looks very nice. The problem is, depending on the time of day, that polys appear on the verticle surfaces of the mountains and hills. These polys are not part of the photo tiles. It looks bad. The tiles are 1.1 m per pixel and the scenery is placed above the default scenery. Is there a way to eliminate this from happening? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Larry B

Hello all, I am openly submitting a request for scenery designers who may be looking for a new project to take on. KSMF (Sacramento International Airport) has undergone significant changes over the past few years including changes of taxiways, demolition of an old terminal and hotel, building of a new terminal hub with tram to a secondary terminal area as well as changes in parking just to name a few. Unfortunately it hasn't been a project much tackled by FSX enthusiasts. Edit: I meant to say that it was "California Upper South". So, I decided to try some Megascenery Earth. I already own MegaScenery X SoCal and have been very pleased with it. I like the framerates and the realism of the photos. The Megascenery Earth Upper South is not to the same quality. (I still like it but I have to admit some disappointment in the quality.) The resolution also seems to be about half of Megascenery X. The 'Earth' collection seems to be from some dated satellite imagery and the colors are extremely saturated. The hills look blackish. Hello, I have installed world of ai packages for my fs9 install. I have fsdreamteam OHare.I have encountered many problems with the way the gates and parking are assigned. For example, there are more American Airlines planes parked at the cargo parking than at the actual terminal. Also, cargo planes were parking at the United airlines terminal! and I really want to edit the parking but I am quite lost as to how to go about doing it. All I want to do is change the gate and parking assignments to fit certain airlines. Is there any way to do this with airport design editor, and how do you do it? I woud really appreciate your help. I have just spent an hour searching the forums here and elsewhere and I can not find out what the best approach is to animate ship movement in FSX. I found lots of old tools that appear to be totally useless in FSX. Lots of discussion about the topic but much was outdated.
