For some reason, the Javier Fernandez's AI carriers cannot be selected anymore. They were working fine this morning and now when I pull down the "Add Ons" tab in FSX, where the carriers used to be selected from, it does not appear. I uninstalled AI Carriers, but got the error message that "au.exe has stopped working" when the uninstaller tries to "remove from exe.xml" and tried to reinstall it, however the installer now fails and says "Setup.exe has stopped working". This is the from the package "aicarriers2.zip" by the way. However, when I DID NOT select the box "Add to exe.xml" the setup finishes fine. This "exe.xml" file is messing everything up. I am working on new scenery for upload that will add the greatly missed BC Ferries fleet to your Orbx PNW scenery. I am sure folks will love to get there hands on the real ferries. I have a problem with an exclude. I usually make excludes using Instant Scenery these days as it is easy to make them compared to other programs. My reading on this forum indicates that there are sometimes issues with excludes not working for a variety of reasons. Attached screenshot shows my new BC ferries at dock but there is a "generic" FSX Washington State ferry in the picture I need to exclude. Is my problem that Instant Scenery doesn't work as well as other programs? Is this…

I have several new objects textured and ready to go for placement, however, it just occured to me that they have no night lighting and would be very effective with night lighting added. I have no idea where to start and no idea if it is possible to add night lighting to these objects. Can someone please direct me to information sources or what steps I need to take to get night lighting added to these objects? thanks Bryan

I recently moved from FS9 to FSX on a new system Windows 7 64b and I am experiencing a few teething problems. Although I installed literally hundreds of freeware sceneries (and pay ware as well of course) in FS9 before, I seem to be unable to do the same with FSX. Each time I follow the procedure point by point the scenery does install in FSX but I get no input in the FSX scenery list other than a number of the layer and a white space... All payware were installed automatically and are visible on the list. Once again the sceneries ARE installed and I can use them in the sim, but I have no description in the list allowing me to manage them after installation since I do…

Hi, In AFX, is there a way to install moving jetways? I was making a new airport but the jetways do not move. I have the jetways inside the green gate area and I also have advanced animations checked but they still don't move. I also tried using the instant scenery jetways but that did not work either. Jetways at other airports work by my addon ones do not. Thanks to anyone who can help.

I have ADE running on a Windows XP machine. I loaded in a stock airport (KANE) and modified the tower frequency in comms, then compiled the airport and saved it. Then ran FSX and the new frequency is there. I then saved the compiled BGL to another (Windows 7) machine in a folder in FSX>add on scenery>test>scenery. Running FSX on the Windows 7 machine finds the new tower frequency. But doing the same procedure to add a simple ILS approach to runway 27 at KANE doesn't seem to pick up the ILS, because a flight plan with KANE as the destination doesn't show an ILS as a possible approach. Hi, I just finish modifying a local airport near my home place (CYND Gatineau, Canada) and I saved the modified BLG in my addon scenery file structure. In doing this I realized that in the “My Traffic” folder, which was created by My Traffic 2010, I also had a BLG file for the same airport. So I ran FX airport scanner just to find out that I had a lot of replication of BGL files between My Traffic and my addon library. The scanner tool allows me to remove one of the duplicate file, so my question is: Should I remove all of the duplicate BGL files in the My Traffic or it doesn’t matter? Thanks for the help Pierre

Hi all, I have before used FSEarthtiles with no problems at all. But now i install it again and its not working at all. It corrupted my windows total and have to reinstal my windows/FSX/and all my programs. So i downd wont to use it anymore, I see allot of people with problems. So i hope thad Tileproxy comming with a better working ini or program. I am not a VFR pilot but more a IFR pilot with airliners at 34.000 feet. I recently downloaded the Jersy (EGJJ) airport scenery and noticed the airfield is surrounded by black boxes with trees in them. When I switch to "top down" view they appear as dozens of light blue "blobs" around 3 sides of the airfield. I know very little of scenery design and tried just deleting the trees in the Texture folder. It deletes the trees but leaves the large black boxes. I would love know how best overcome this as the rest of this freeware scenery is quite good.

I am currently making Malta scenery, and created mesh from SRTM data. However, my problem is that default airport is on higher altitude than correct mesh, and runways & taxiways & their surroundings are bit higher than rest of the terrain. I edited airport altitude in Airport Design Editor, but it just sunk to the ground. Then I tried to flatten that ground by creating simple polygon with Sbuilder X, choosing flatten one and making its altitude same with corrected runway altitudes. However, only part of that terrain seems to be flattened, most of it doesn't. I would highly appreciate it if someone could help me to find right way to do this...

I could use some help from someone. I have been building my own airport useing ADX. It has some good hangers in the program, but i would like to have a Maintance Hanger as part of the airport. Could someone please help me figure out how to design it, or create one for me ( i would gladly pay them for the time they spend on it.) What i have been trying to do is build a hanger with both ends open, a few Hobart APUs inside, with parts around, and a couple of planes inside being repaired( something like a P-40, or Mustang or a stearman, and a larger twin engine like a B-25 or DC-3.). I want to disable the trees on Bill Melichar's NTAA scenery as they often cause my simulator trouble. How do I do this? I do not see any obvious way of doing this. There aren't any bgl files labeled as trees and I do not know how or if it's even possible to edit the bgl to remove the trees.

I have an old rwy12 creation that I need to delete and restart. Where does rwy12 deposit the bgl file when it's created? I changed computers and have been doing search on search using as many search targets I could think of.. I am pretty sure it has become a rougue file that defies locaton. I can't remember how I named it a few years ago. I found an xml file that relates but don't know what to do with it. I don't know where to look for the bgl.

Hi guys I have the freeware 'Paro ' Bhutan airport scenery, the most difficult approach and landing for jets - in the world ! (no jets allowed at Lukla) It's nice scenery but the airport should be at 7333' altitude and it's out of position according to Google maps.... This mismatch makes the difficult landing ' too easy ' compared to real life. I have tried to fix this but it won't recompile properly again after altering co-ords and altitude...... I am organising an event here on our flying group and would like to get this fixed to make it as realistic as poss... Can anyone help ?? Hey all, I honestly have no experience whatsoever in scenery design/editing and had a very small request for anyone who would be up for it. PANC - Stevens Anchorage Intl's runway 14/32 is now 15/33. Would anyone be willing to update or make a new AFCAD to correct this? This is one of our major hubs for FedExVAC and we would love to have this update to distribute to everybody. I Just tried to install EZ scenery on my new computer running Windows seven. My old machine is running W Xp and that seems to work OK (except the cursor keep going away). I tried to re-install it but that didn't help. I seem to be missing something but I don't know how to correct it. When I go to a pristine airport and try to add an object the program wants to install it at a different airport (??). The program will also tell me that the file format doesn't match. Very frustrating. Any comments that will point me in the right direction will be appreciated

Today I installed the AI Queen Mary 2 into FS9 on my laptop. Windows XP SP2 etc. The ship appears at the dock at Cape Liberty without any trouble. Then I installed the QM2 into FS9 on my tower...Windows Vista Ultimate, 64 bit edition. I installed it the same way as on my laptop. The problem is the ship fails to appear at the dock. I don't understand why. I made certain to edit the Aircraft.cfg file for the QM2 and make it read ATC type=QMII. If anyone has any ideas why this is not appearing, let me know. I'm seeing building gables flattened out horizontally rather than standing vertically. Has anyone seen this before? Would appreciate your help in correcting it. Thanks

Hello: This is really frustrating! I have some freeware airports in FS9 that have a white ramp texture. Screenshots from the airport authors do not show a white texture, but a typical gray to brown texture. Airport authors have been unable to completely resolve the issue to my satisfaction. I have included a screenshot from KPIT and one from KMHT. Do I have some sort of display issue or corrupted texture files? I know little about scenery design so I would appreciate some help! Thanks!
