Hi ! Anyone can explain me how to delete/exclude default airport buildings ? Are going to remake Nuuk Airport/Godthab (BGGH) with more accurate buildings. I have tryed to use EXCbuilder, but the buildings are still in scenery.KalaKwww.kalak-flightsim.com

My co-designer David and I are having what seems to be a transparency problem with a small GMAX hill we put in one of our sceneries. David used layer8 to get rid of the ground flashing. He was using your fs2002 tutorial and working at putting seasonal textures in. Please have a look at this shot and see if you can tell what the problem is.The cars you see in the pic are actually behind the hill though they appear as though they are sitting on the hill. Hi,I would like to refer that SCASM 2.96 is available at www.scasm.de. It contains a small change in the coding of LWM altitudes. Now I can, for example, create a BGL file with a LWM flatten polygon with an altitude of 627.8828125 meters in SBuilder and, when reading the BGL back to text format, get the same altitude of 627.8828125 meters.627.8828125 meters is the altitude of the flatten that I read at LPVZ (Viseu airfield) in the file FL945170.BGL. This value is coded in 3 bytes. 2 bytes are used for the main part of the altitude which in this case is 627 meters. A 3rd byte is used to code the fractional part of the altitude which in the present case is 0.8828125 meters.…

Does anyone know of a tutorial on creating Approaches?I know that AFCAD can be used to add an ILS but that FS ATC will not recognize it. I assume that an Approach has to be created before ATC recognizes it.Based on the Compiling Scenery with BGLComp SDK, I think that the structure of a simple straight-in ILS approach with a straight-ahead missed approach should be(?):The SDK gives little help on the values to be used in the individual elements - and - and their relationship to the information than can be extracted from an ILS approach chart.The ARINC specification 424-16 referenced on page 50 of the SDK costs $252!

Hi,I'm currently working on a scenery project of Philadelphia International Airport (KPHL) with a few other people. I'm building the model in GMax which is going well. I try to use Ground2k i the newest version to create some roads om Bornholm. I can create the roads in the program, and a LMW file i created, but when trying to create the BGL-file nothing is created. I click the button and somethings happens, but there is no BGL-file. I then tried to create a landclass, clicked the BGL creation button, and a landclass bgl was created, but still no with the roads. Whats the problem here?

I have downloaded a list of AM radio stations for the US west coast that includes power output and lat/long coordinates. These stations are shown on Sectionals and are frequently an aid in finding small remote airports. From some earlier reading I thought I could enter these using EasyNav 4.11 but have found that I need to be able to open a scenery bgl for the region I am working on in order to get a starting point. Is there another program that might be used for entering this info and generating a state wide bgl file with just this ndb information?Any help would be appreciated.Zane

Here my task and subsequent observations.I've created a obstruction light object in GMax. It's "lens" portion is approximatly 8" in diameter and about 12" tall and sits on top of a small mast type platform with can be placed at varying heights on other objects. I thought it'd be neat to have the lens protion partially transparent (~45% opaque) I then placed a slightly smaller cube object inside the lens area and assigned the fx_obslight.fx to it. Now watch this, when I went into FS9, not only did my lights not appear but my "glass" lenses, the glass in my control tower

Still have a couple of problems:1. I fill the small areas with Landclass 130 (Rock) and extend this around my test island. When I show this in FS, the bottom half fills to the coast, but the top half overlaps. I attch a pic to show what I mean.2. With my real island, I can't seem to exclude the default island. I have surrounded the island with a 'Poly without shore', and set a LWM of water. Shouldn't the resulting exclude 0_xxx.bgl remove the existing island and cover it with sea?Sorry if these questions seem very elementary.RegardsDavid

I have been improving the Oregon Cascades lakes with Ground2k4, FSTflatten, and EZ-Landclass. It's fun but a lot of work. Recently I have been trying out Slarti but have run into a problem using USGS NED data.I had no problem creating a mesh "bgl" using SRTM data as outlined in the "Walkthrough" section of the Slarti manual. The USGS NED 1-Arc-second (30 meter) data obtained from the USGS Seamless Data Distribution System web site has produced strange results. Hi folks. I am working on a forest fire scenario. I have set the flames and smoke to appear at a certain time of day, and all works well. As the time progresses more fires start as it consumes the trees. So, once started, the fire burns until it is put out.The thing is, I want to be able to turn the fire effects off by water-bombing them. I figured I would use the proximity tag,then when the water bomber gets close enough the fire goes out....and stays out.I can get the proximity tag to start effects, but I cannot figure out if it is possible to also use it to stop effects once started. Is it also possible to use one effect to stop/replace another effect? i.e. Once "water…
