    I am having difficulty with the oil_treated runway texture not showing. The runway textures themselves are numbered runway 1 through 9 in .r8 files, runway 10 through 27 then they jump to 64 through 68. Does anyone have a listing of what those numbers refer to in reference to what the SDK and AFCAD lists ie asphalt, gravel, concrete, oil_treated, etc?I have searched several forums as well as google searched only to come up blank. Lee Swordy had to have access to some listing because AFCAD allows selection based on names, those names have to have an association with the numbered files in the textures folder.Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hey, hope this is the right place for this..I decided to fix up my local airport (1c5) because the Microsoft scenery does it a great injustice. I've already done an exclude of the autogen and default airport objects (and I will put them in more accurate places later), but the grassy area only extends to the default area. My question is, how to I edit the airport background?Below is a picture of what it looks like now in FS9 and what I want it to look like (done in photoshop)http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/152624.jpgThanks in advance, I hope to have a better representation of my local airport!

    Library Object Viewer is a simple utility designed to display FS9 scenery objects as they look in the Sim itself. The program uses DirectX to display the object in 3D complete with textures and colors.     Hello,I would like to know in Photo Scenery Maker 1.2.4 in the Project Property which refers to the coordinates tab it asks for North ,south ,east and west for the bit map boundaries.How do I get this information and at what points(example the left corner or top right corner middle top etc..?) should I be taking these values?Also, any other tips on this program and I mean any would be helpful.IMHO,With so many easy ways to get photos of the earths surface I just can't believe that everyone isn't trying to figure out or is trying to produce photo scenery. Maybe its the fact, it is hard to install into the sim?

    I am mystified about still another aspect of my photoreal scenery, made using Terrabuilder which uses FS Texture Converter. Why do the mip mapping rules seem to change for ground textures that are made with alpha masks to create real water? If I make two separate side by side sceneries, the ground textures made using alpha masks have a clearly coarser texture than the adjoining textures compiled without the alpha mask. So I can only suspect the mipmapping rules use a lower size texture when alpha masks are present. Can anyone suggest a fix?

    Hi GuysI have searched for some tutorials on the best way to take a hand painted aerial photo of an airport and lay it down in my scenery project.I look at scenery's done by fly Tampa and wonder how they got such a high resolution ground texture aligned so perfectly! I have been trying with ground2k however its saying my resolution is too high.Any tips & trick would be appreciated, and if there is a tutorial out there I have missed please post a link.Thanks & Regards, TED320

    Jim ?Exploring your V2 and doing the quick start.Autoload brings the "Mapviever for 2004 has met a problem and must close blah blah blah" (actually it's in French on my 'puter).Any clues ? Should LMWviever be somewhere in particular or in the same folder with some other program ? Also, I can bring up the mesh but not zoom out that much, the screen getting blank.

    I thought I would post this question here as I think it has something to do with display setting changes in GMAX because after doing so, the problem startedAll the planes, building and even ground texture that use alpha channel display properly however, all my taxiway lines and holdlines do not display transparency anymore.     Hey guys,Is there a way to create an FX light that will shine down upon ground scenery and tarmac? I know that there are lights out there in Rwy12 for doing this, but I have the lamps created in Gmax. I am hoping I can have these assigned with a precise GPS location and heighth (altitude) setting. Also, I am 'hoping' that a hovering point isnt effected by a ground auto-gen clearing file.I guess also that if only one light for 'each' purpose exists, I could make 'dual' BGL files for 'dual' locations of lights that would illuminate the buildings sides as well as the ground tarmac.Many thanks for any idea's and advice,Bill

    I have just released a bug fix for LOM/SM. This deals with the problem where user defined object scale information was lost. Most of us stick to a scale of 1.0 for FS9 objects and SM works fine in those circumstances. However if you wanted to make a specific object larger or smaller you could not. This release fixes that. It is an executable only release so you need to have the full version 1.00 installed first. Please read the release notes in the zip file.     Hi:I have edite a LWM for 2 airports on peru, in order to make these lines to desapear.My proyect is to adjust the position and altitude of some aiports in Peru.When editing i found that when i created a LWM in Ground2k4 over a default LWM Poly it did not adjusted the altitude of the other.So useing LWMViewer 2 i changed the altitude of that to mesh-cling and saved the source which latter I recompiled whit BGLcomp.Whe seeing those airports the file was Ok, but on the other airports of the FLxxxxx.bgl, seamed no to be active for the FS, inded was like all the other Flatens in that file where set to mesh-cling, making that some runways float over the air.Am I doing anything…

    I am doing a small airport with two grass runways. Runway ID signs more typical of large airports spoil the flavor. I have searched AFCAD for a way to exclude these. I've created exclude boxes using SceneGenX. Nothing seems to help.How do I eliminate these?Thanks
