Hello, I have a problem when I create an new animation in the modelef.xml file : when I try and export it from 3dsMax9, I receive successively two error messages : 1. No definition found for animation "nom name of the animation"2. Ending an animation which was not started Node = "name of the part" Anim = "name of the animation" curAnim = I get these messages even when I only try and modify the name and GUID of an otherwise perfectly working animation. I.E. : "door_0" into "Duplicate_of_door_0_000" and a GUID different from the original one. Has anybody had this problem and is there a solution to it ? Thanks in advance,

I do not know if it is allowed to make requests here but I did not find anything saying I could not. Please correct me if I am wrong though.I have been looking endlessly for a panel for the Airbus A318-A321 series and the ones I have found, I am not to fond on them. I use the Project Airbus A319 and A320.I was wondering if someone could make a panel for these aircraft (a lot of the ones I tried had some flaws with the AP of the aircraft).Something using default gauges would be nice aswell. I have tried making panels but I am afraid I do not have the skill to do them.I don't know if it is possible, but I was thinking that maybe the main panel bitmap could be based on the d…

for reasons unknown my 'arial black' font started displaying in itailic. Lim guessing my fs9 font folder got corrupted somehow. if i can get a list of the standard fonts that come with fs9 ?thinking i will delete; C:Program FilesMicrosoft GamesFlight Simulator 9Fontsand drag and drop replacement fonts from C:WINDOWSFontsopen to better ideas..... or a zip from an uncorrupted source! really really don't want to have to re-install.

After not much success with direct sound, altered to gaugesound which will do the job I wanted and a dam site easier to understand. I have done my PA panel no problems as all sounds are called via the mouse click, but my FA Panel is a bit more difficult, when you call the FA the panel takes a couple of seconds to apear on the screen, when the panel appears on the screen it then plays a sound. I have a timer code for the panel to take a couple of seconds to apear on the screen but can not get the sound to play when the panel appears.I have tried adding code to the panel it self, as well as the toggle to open the window, but either the sound plays straight away, or it knock…

HiI made a test flight in the Coral F-15C (available in the library). I attempted a Mach 2.5 run on internal tanks, ran low on fuel, and made a dead stick landing :-lol. The dead stick landing was my fault, but what surprised me was the landing gear drag! The F-15's "Air File" has a gear drag coefficient of 380, compared to 340 for the spoiler ... surely that's a little high?

I have a few custom (as in, non FS-native) parameters that are processed in 2D gauge cockpit. They are also referenced (but not initialized or processed) from the 3D gauge versions intended for VC. If I start the sim in the VC and don't activate 2D panels, the parameters are inactive, and stay dormant until the 2D panel is accessed. How can I kick-start them by default? One way I was thinking is the "dummy" VC panel that references the 2D gauges but doesn't draw them. Is there a better, more elegant way? Thanks!

Hi,I want to make a gauge that toggles every switch light on the panel and overhead, how can I do this? I am having problems with things like (L:...) and can someone tell me what '& amp' means?I have so far made the switch move up and down, made the click areas and things like that, it's just the electrical things that I'm having problems with. What would go between and to turn all of the switch lights on?(I'm not talking about the panel lights but the lights that appear on the actual switches themselves)Please somebody help me!ThanksKind RegardsJonathan

Does anyone know if it is possible (maybe in the FSX.CFG file?) to make the push back turn radius smaller?Thank you,Geoff

I have a plane converted from FS9. It has extremely low cockpit glass (almost invisible). I used a Hex Editor and looked at the mdl file. It calls out three glass files (glass_l.bmp, glass_d.bmp and glass_t.bmp). In the texture folder there is only a glass_t.bmp. How can I fix the textures up so the glass shows up OK? What do each of the three bmp's do? Thanks, regards, Bob.

Can anyone think of a reason why the following (a simplified hypothetical) would not work in a gauge?(A:Airspeed indicated, knots) (>L:Var1, number)I've searched through the forum, SDK's, etc., and that seems to be the right syntax. ??

Hi,I love to fly Rick Piper's HS.748, but it's in dire need of an avionics upgrade. So I installed a GPS unit, HSI and a modern autopilot. As you may know, mr. Piper did not choose to include a Nav/GPS switch, so the autopilot can't follow the GPS flightplan. How can I make my GPS, HSI and autopilot work together and follow the flightplan? I already tried installing the default C208 Nav/GPS switch, but that didn't seem to work.Cheers,Jef

I have searched for a while and found several code piecesFor example PCSTRINGZ str;execute_calculator_code("(C:fs9gps:FlightPlanTitle,string)",NULL,NULL,&str);But it always return "0." string in both FS9 and FSX, also tryed several other variabled and got zeroes all the times. FLight plan was loaded of course. What I need is a reliable way to extract flight plan from GPS. In FS9 I use pGaugeCallback with GPS variables IDs in gpsprop.h file that was posted here long ago. Works well in FS9 but doesn't work in FSX, pGaugeCallback->GetPropertyValue(FS9GPS_FlightPlanWaypointsNumber, &wptCount) always returns zero. There is also the old way: GPS_INFO* gpsinfo = NULL; M…

I am afraid I do not remember the exact link of the file, but the name of the document is "777-Panel".It is a mod of the default panel, and I like it a lot but there is some stuff missing. The compass gauge does not appear (the screen where it should appear goes black) aswell as the GPS (same problem). Can anyone tell me how to fix this? I have tried copying the .xml from the default to this one but it still does not work. Thanks in advance

Hello guys, could you pls help me out with a code for a 'dumb' gauge? All it will need to do is to be an idle non-transparent black guage with no function, that I could put on one of the [vcockpit0x] bitmaps in panel.cfg to replace some working gauge on the panel. When I remove this working gauge from [vcockpit02] section now, I can see some weird background (bitmap) in the location where the gauge was, so without going deeper into changing the bmp I juts want to patch that location with a simple black colour gauge. Many thanks,Dirk.

Has anyone had any success creating a "Custom Camera" definition for the Spot Views?I'm trying to create the two cameras with a closer initial x,y,z position to compensate for the exaggerated radius of the Cirrus SR20/22/22T models in FSX.Moving the camera manually (Ctrl-minus key) works just fine, but I'd rather the camera start out at the right location... These are the two entries I've been trying, but so far with no success:[CameraDefinition.01]Title = SpotGuid = {BCA3FDD3-FB83-4BBA-8407-4922A7F0D00C}Description = This is the description of the spot view.Origin = CenterSnapPbhAdjust = OrdinalSnapPbhReturn = FalsePanPbhAdjust = SwivelPanPbhReturn = FalseTrack = FlatCha…

Hello Fellow Simmers, Can someone please explain (or point me in the right direction so I can read for myself) how this gauge actually works please? I downloaded it and all I have is a .gau file an avsim.diz file and a wordpad and a adobe document, neither of which tell me how I use DSD (to assign sounds in particular, as is my want). Many thanks, Stan Harvey

I'm trying to conditionally show and hide gauge image lements, namely an indicator and a background. I'm using the HIDE_IMAGE() and SHOW_IMAGE() macros, but I'm having problems hiding the background of the gauge. I can hide the indicator element of the gauge by specifying the callback function and using the "pelement" parameter as an argument to HIDE_IMAGE(). However, MAKE_STATIC doesn't allow for a callback, so it is rather ambiguous how to use the macros to hide and show the background... For example, in the following simple code:char cs_gauge_name[] = GAUGE_NAME; extern PELEMENT_HEADER cs_list; extern MOUSERECT cs_mouse_rect[]; GAUGE_HEADER_FS7…

Hi, I'm a simple user not a designer, I write to get help on a specific question and would be very thankfull for some profesional consultation! It's the 737-800 panel that bugs me! :(1) The on/off logic on the fsx 737-800 forward lights are reversed. So I always manage to turn them off before landing! :( Because when I put the switch to ON it really turns the lights OFF. (Bug!) Is there any easy modification I could do in an xml file to switch the on/off logic back to "correct"?If anyone has the time, thanks a lot!-Kinetic

Hi everyone,I'm a newbie in the modding activity, which I decided to enter to make more realistic the Aus Sim Warrior V2.1 for FSX SP2. Since I'm lucky enough to have flown real Pa28s for a few hundreds hours, I felt able and needing to correct AuSim's otherwise great product!OVERLY EXCESSIVE LONGITUDINAL STABILITY IS THE MAJOR DEFECT that makes this FSX add-on unreal and unpleasant to use. When I put the plane in a turn and I then center ailerons, it ABRUPTLY returns to wings level better than if there were an auto-leveler engaged!QUESTION IS: how to work to make the lovely Warrior sim stay in a turn when I center ailerons just like its real brethren?FAILED TRIES: changin…

I need to know the value of the Simulation Rate in the C gauge, but this parameter seems to be available only to the XML gauges. Is there any way of getting to this parameter? I suppose I could make an XML code that copies it to the L: variable which can then be read in by the C gauge, but I was hoping for a more direct, elegant way...Misho
