Hi all,I have an aircraft in which the throttle is too sensitive / non-linear. During approach and for setting cruise, there is a section of throttle in the middle of the throw which seems to control a lot of the power with only about 1 inch of movement. I know "a lot" is not a good quantity, I could say 50% or over half of the power but I have no idea how much it really controls. It is just hard to fine-tune and makes landing difficult.I have a CHPro Throttle USB and have not noticed this in any other aircraft. Is there a setting either in the acft.cfg or in the .air or even in the CHPro setup that will change this? Thanks in advance,Dolph98

Hello fellas...I attempted to open a panel (PMDG 737) in order to replace some bitmaps.Whenever doing so, the appliation tells me 'cannot load gauge. It didn't load properly'. Can this be solved somehow?I also tried to open it via Reshacker, but this didn't work either.I'm grateful for any advice :) Thanks in advance.Regards,

SIM: FS2004GOAL: Make a "gauge" that "senses" when Exit 2 is open (exit 2 lowers the landing lights); When open ladning lights on, when closed landing lights off. (A:EXIT OPEN:2, percent) 50 > if{ (>K:LANDING_LIGHTS_ON) } els{ (>K:LANDING_LIGHTS_OFF) } My trouble is I can't see where anyone has used A:EXIT OPEN:2 before, only a few references say "use this..." which I did, and it didn't work.As it is, any attempt to turn on the landing lights directly results in a "flash bulb effect"...(I would do this the other way, and make turning on the landing lights automagically extend the landing lights, buuuuut, since there is only (>K:TOGGLE_AIRCRAFT…

  5. This is for FS9 / 2004I've looked over the various posts here and I don't think there is anything that does what I am looking for. I might be able to "dope it out" looking at the various example attachments... if they were still on the server. (quoth the server... 404)Aircraft is the Concorde, and the goal is fuel automation.Transferring fuel fore/aft works fine - trouble is that the engines feed off the center tanks and leave you without enough to maintain the CG.What I want is this, an "invisble, free running" gauge that does the following:Check level of tank CENTER1 - if less then 10 gallons, deduct 5 gallons from tank LEFT and 5 gallons from tank RIGHT and add 10 Ga…

Hi all,I have low vision so I'm trying to make the LDS 767-300 PFD, ND an maybe other gauges "undockable". I tried the demo of FS Panel Studio, but there was nothing in the manual or obvious in the confusing toolbars about making a gauge undockable. I did find the FS9 undockable mods but to these tired clouded eyes, I did not hear any difference between the gauges when I listened to the files. Is there a simple "how-to" on making a gauge undockable? Does it matter whether the gauge is the old style or XML?Thanks in advance, dan davison

  7. Even as a relative beginner, I thought it would be fairly easy to create a clickspot to open an overhead panel, but I am having no luck. The 'hand' appears over the spot in the main panel, but clicking does nothing.I have added the gauge to my panel.cfg file like this:gauge87=MD-83!Overhead, 546,707,17,17My xml file "overhead.xml" and is in the gauges folder, in its own folder called MD-83, together with a copy of overhead.bmp.My xml file is:250 (>K:PANEL_ID_TOGGLE)Any reason why I am drawing a blank? Thanks,Martin

I have two panels. One is identified as 1 and the other is identified as 2. In the 1 panel I have an icon which contains the following:2 (>K:PANEL_2) 1 (>K:PANEL_1). In panel 2 I have an icon which contains the following:2 (>K:PANEL_1) 1 (>K:PANEL_2).I want to be in panel 1 and click the icon to toggle panel 2. The icon in panel 1 does toggle panel 2. When I am in panel 2 and click the icon it does not toggle panel 1. What do I have to do to get the panel 2 icon working right? Thanks, regards, Bob.

HelloI'm doing some research into the fuel consumption of the Realair Spitfire.I'm planning a tour and to refine the legs I need some data. There are a few problems with the Spitfire that led me to creating a temporary gauge for collecting data. The spitfire does not have any fuel flow indication either in real life or the add-on (and I will take out the temp gauge after collecting my data before doing my tour)The real life documentation does not have much in the form of fuel economy data as it likely wasn't a priority with the Luftwaffe at the door then again i don't know how close Realair's fuel consumption will be to the real thing without a fuel gauge.I've tried and fai…

Hi all,I'm working on some fullscreen panels for the Level D 767 for multi-monitor use, one of which will look something like this:http://www.mikesteven.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk...s_wx500_atc.jpg(Graphics are just placeholders atm). I have a clickable button to toggle off the ATC window and display a fullscreen overhead panel on top of the above, using the following code:<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>AceXML Documentdisplay_overhead.xml0.000,0.0000.000,0.00050,50Display OverheadHandLeftSingle(A similar button on the overhead panel reverses the situation). These work fine, but only if the ATC window is in the expected state as the buttons toggle the ATC rather tha…

  12. Hi All,In FSX, is there a variable that gives the speed of an aircraft relative to the surface it moves on ??Note: Not "ground velocity", because that gives the speed relative to the earth, NOT the moving surface :-)Regards, Rob Barendregt

This is quite a long post, so you might want a coffee before you start :-)After a few week trying to add a click sound to a switch, I have finally manged it, the problem is I can see how it works, but can not see why it works, read on an hopefully all will be come clear :-). I am using Jose Olivera DX Sound, but was getting a load of errors. So before qiving up on directsound and looking at an alternatives, I thought I would give it one last go. Before I made sure I had linked all the lib file, Include all I thought I needed to include and the compiler goes nuts and chucks out 120 + errors. So I wanted to see what what would happen if I include each one individually and …

Those aircraft configurators that allow you to change the weight and balance on the ground - do they do it 'on the fly' (so to speak) by modifying the aircraft.cfg file? If so, how does it work because I've always believed that the aircraft.cfg file is read at load time and thereafter ignored. Yes, I would like to implement a similar system but if I can't, I'm not that fussed - I'll just pretend that my load factors are always 100%.-Dai

New contents: DirectSound. This initial release allows for playing of up to 50 one-shot and looping sounds of a few seconds duration simultaneously - in general this will cover 99.5% of gauge cases. The code is supplied to be compiled within your own gauges i.e. this is not an external gauge and you should not have to edit the DirectSound code at all.For the first time I can also preview a future release of sd2gau: I will be adding volume, panning, EAX and streaming of large files to the DirectSound interface when I have the time.-Dai

A while ago, there was an aircraft posted (Not sure where) for Sector File creation.Basically the Aircraft consisted of a small dot or crosshair that you could use in Top View, to zoom in and pinpoint your spot, rather than trying to do it with a C172 or whatever, that obstructs your view.Anyone know where I can get this file??If it's no where to be found, how hard is it to create an aircraft file that's a Little dot??Any help is appreciated.

  22. In a C gauge, how does one send info to the GPS using Execute Calculator Code?Reading something via Exec Calc Code (like ATC ID) is not a prob, but writting I'm not so sure. For context, I'm trying to send the aircraft's current position to the GPS so I can determine the nearest airport by reading data out of the GPS.Cheers,Bryan

Is there one ? I have downloaded the SDK, and have found a switch which uses DXSound for the click, but it was not made for the beginner as the files are everywhere. I have sorted the code to make the click in FS I think, but can not get it to compile, as I am obviously not including something, but after looking at the switch sample I can not work out what it is.any help will be greatly appreaciated.
