Hello:I was wondering if if any of you gauge programmers can tell me if there is a way to remove the colored panel bezels from around gauges such as EICAS, PFD or MFD's? I'd like to use one of the EICAS gauges I have in my gauge library in a panel of a different color, pref-erably without having to create another window and overlay the panel bitmapmon top of that one. I've seen some files uploaded onto one of the other Sim sites that offer the default PFD and MFD gauges without their colored bezels. The work of Harald Geier, Helmut Busch, Chris Koegler and Tony Cullen at HGHB Virtual Instruments on there EHI 40 Navigation CRT Set, comes to mind. Hopefully one of you guy…

Recently I downloaded several Boeing 767-300 gMax files. But there had been only black bitmaps in their texture folders, so the whole mashines were black. What could be the reason for this or how can I solve this problem?

Hi all,I purchased FS Panel Studio not too long ago, with intentions of learning how to make panels. I have been doing fine so far, but I hit a stumbling block when I got to pop-up panels. I have managed to make the seperate window, but not use the click spots to make it appear. I was hoping someone here could offer me expertise, or point me to a resource that would cover this, or a person who would be willing to help.I know you all must get this kind of thing all the time, but all help would be appreciated.Scott

Good day to you. I have read all the posts (that I can find) regarding using BCC to compile the sample gauges, I have sd2gau12 and have compiled successfully. However, I can't use the gauge. When I load it up into FS Panel Studio, I get "does not contain a vaild Bitmap Resource". FSPS doesn't recognize it as a multiple gauge file, and needless to say it crashes FS2K2. BTW: I'm usin Win98 (if that matters). I've tried everything I can think of. This is why I don't program in C (I'm an artist and thus program in Pascal).I had to use the default gauges.h file because the one in sd2gau12 doesn't contain some definitions. If someone would post a BCC makefile that's worki…

I'm currently working on a radiostack (coded in C). The problem is that I want to be able to turn the radios off separately, I also want to turn off the sound from the audiopanel.I have not found an easy way to do this yet. So I thought that maby I could set some bogus frequencies to kill the sound. But that was not easy either. I'm not able to set the freqs outside their ranges. The worst part is that Dreamfleet does something to implement this in the Archer, so it is possible. It looks as though they change the freqs, because it is possible too tune the radios from the ATC-menu, when they are turned off.I have allso thougt about the possibillity to set the freqs to some…

The aircraft that I prefer to fly, is a B-25 left over from an earlier version of MSFS. I currently use MSFS-2002 and have no problems with it except for nose wheel dampening. Unless I am VERY gentle on the brakes, the nosewheel tends to dig in, the props make contact with the ground, the dust flies and I am out of commission. Is there a line in the aircraft.cfg that can be modified to alleviate this problem. Many thanks for any assistance that might be offered.Bob

HiIs there any known way to _SET the OBS instead of INC and DEC? I've browsed through the known documents but I can't find anything useful. If it isn't such an event, what would be a good way of copying the airplanes current heading, to act as an 'OBS sync switch'?

Don't know if it is me or what, but i have been unable to use the default 747 as an AI plane. It will float 2/3rds of the way down the runway at 200ft. and then either start to declare a missed approch and then plunge down or just descend so steep that it disappears on hitting the runway (I assume it exceeds the crash limit). I thought it was a 3rd party texture I was using, but I tried it with the default textures also. I've tried swapping the air file (such as the POSKEY one with no better results) Any suggestions? It's possible to modify a token var directly from a gauge (with out trigger an event)?I try to modify some values that not have related events.I think that it must be possible because FSUIPC do it.

Ah damn I hate to be a nuisance. Well I saw the following in an earlier thread. Can aynone please explain to the very beginner the -line? What is the %, and the %!03d! at the end?? :-hmmmBTW I have some other questions.-I cannot make much use out of the xmloptions.txt in xmlgau01.zip. The problem is, in HTML you have those 'tags' and appropriate 'attributes'. Well e. g. you cannot put a color="#00FF33" into a tag. I mean it must fit otherwise it won't work. So the problem in xmloptionas.txt is, I don't know what is tag and what is attribute.-The other thing I don't understand is the hirarchy stucture. Well it's obvious that the and lines have the highest priority, an…

I have started on a project to repaint and create a new panel for the HU-16 Albatross originally created by Greg Pepper. I have taken photos and have access to a real Coast Guard HU-16E, as well as a pilot who flew one, and would like some help on it, as this is my first attempt with no experience. Anyone who would like to get involved, I need help with creating gauges, and could use help with panel painting. Full credit to those who join in the fun.....James [email protected]
