Hi buddies,I'm almost going mad with the following subject:I'm designing a modell of a Piper Cheyenne IIIb (PA42) for the FS2002 (well, i'm gonna modify it for the FS9 later on...).I finished the airframe and the control-surfaces and exported all into FS2002 and everything worked perfectly.Then I went over and created the gears.As long as they were not animated, everything was ok,but after animating the gear-parts some parts appeared at the wrong position (for example the gear-doors were dislocated from the aircraft and shown about 10 feet from the A/C, or the main gear strut was rotated 90 degrees and appeared on top of the wing).Furthermore some parts had a messed-up sh…

HiAbout the macros call, or call to another gauge/dll. How does this really work? Is it possible to call an xml macro located in another gauge? That would have been extremely helpful, with a separate gauge containing loads of subfunctions the other gauges require. I tried some last night, but was unsuccessful.Has anyone found out how to store a custom string to an (L:Variable,string), then print it out again? I've tried both direct and preformatted, but I just can't get it to work.As for formatted text, which I'm really starting to fall in love with, I seem to fail formatting with leading zeroes in a float. Guys, I have a real basic question about GDI+ and DrawString. I am trying to make a string to display the pitch value of the aircraft as a number ex: 10 = 10 degrees pitch up, or -5 = minus five degrees pitch down. I am having problem doing this. I made my own variable, pitch that is a double, and that reads the pitch value from FS. Here is the code.g->DrawString(L"pitch", -1, &Arialf, PointF(110, 15), &whiteBrush); In this snip, pitch is written, but if I take the quotes and the L(I don't know what that is, but I know that it has to be there), I can't compile. Many people wish to update planner for types -200 and -600... I would like to do it, but I have not fuel flow data for -200 and -600 and I can't find them anywhere. Just wondering, in the VC, there is a (fake) instrument next to the (fake) prop amps gauge/image. What instrument is this? Alcohol level? Oxygen bottle pressure?

hi everyoneI write to ask your help regarding how to get a more realistic autopilot for the boing737 in fs9. I refer particularly to the ias mode, it presently only works with autotrottle, while it should also work without autotrottle, indeed during take off and climb thrust is set at a fixed value and flight director or autopilot should mantain the proper speed (i.e. v2+10) with the proper attitude. This mode is absolutely needed for a realistic airline flight. Do you know if there if a freeware product that can give me this autopilot improvement or there is a way for modifying the autopilot in fs9?thank you

I was working on abuilding roof top by Centennial Airport near Denver when I saw a plane that caught my attention (don't they all?). I found out it was a Piaggo P.180. It's an Italian business pusher turboprop that looks like a Citation jet. I've searched several flight sim aircraft libraies but can't find one. Hi All,Was wondering if anyone knows how to correctly merge an aircraft and panel together. I'm trying to merge the JCA DC-9 with Stellan's great DC-9 panel, but am having problems... When I do merge the two together, I get problems with flight performance, as well as details in the JCA visual model not working such as gear, slats, etc... I copied everything over into the aircraft.cfg file, but no luck... Another guy said he did it, but hasn't responded to any of my 'pleas' for help. Anyway, is there something I'm doing wrong? I have no experience with aircraft design whatsoever... Any help or explanations to my problem is much appreciated.Allan

Guys, I am experiencing an awkward problem. I can not export parts smaller than 0.5 meters. If I do, MakeMDL will chrash exporting. So if I have a 0.4 meter box or a wheel, I can not get it out of gMax, 3DS Max 5, 3DS Max 6. I have everything set right, and parts bigger than 0.5 meters export succesfully. I have searched the forums for entries on invisible building crashes (IBC) but have found little, yet I know people elsewhere are experiencing these. I am experiencing the ICB at 4 addon airports Malta (Daniel Chircop); Incheon (Yunjin Lee); Johannesburg (Johan van Wyk); and lately at Castlegar (Vern Opperman). An example of an IBC when an aircraft moving or stationary, is on the apron near the terminal, a building crash occurs, particularly if in spot view when panning, and there has been no visible contact with the building.I had extensive messaging with Daniel Chircop but he could not duplicate any IBC

HiAfter reading manuals and nearly all forum treads here I still have a problem.I'm trying to make a XML guage that contains some info about fuel, weight and so on.The fuel quantity in all tanks and total is OKNow I want to get the ACFT Total Weight but here comes my problem.I have tryed out this in a String:%(A:Total weight, pounds)%!d! but only show a 0. (it should be 117455)Even tryed with the kilogram, kg and lbs but still only the 0But when i type this in the string:%((A:Total weight, pounds) 1 /)%!d!Then the right number comes, but i dont think that this is the right way to do it or ??Any that can help me on this problem ?Thanks

Hi, I guess I can't see the forest for the trees! I am trying to make a speed switch on the autopilot panel that, when clicked, will make the aircraft go to the airspeed set by the airspeed bug on the AI. Typical. Seems like it should be straight forward. However, every time I click on the speed switch, the engine goes to idle! I can see the throttle move downward to the idle position.I've tried a great number of A:,L:, and K: variable combinations andnone have solved this problem. There are more than 15 K: variables that are related to speed. I initially thought maybe I had to set thevalue first. So I rotated the bug with an (L:variable,enum), and then gave this value to…

Does anyone have working code for a Hobbs Meter? I need to incorporate this in a project and cannot figure out the file I/O operations in C... :(I've read the relevant portion of Dai's latest Gauge Tutorial (v15), but cannot make it work, mainly because it's illustrating storing/reading ADF data from a file using a char type variable and then using "atoi" to convert from alpha to integer. It seems a bit ackward to do this way.I even searched this forum for information, and found a snippet of code from "badderjet" along with a reply from Arne, but unfortunately a "solution" was never posted... :(TIA to anyone who can help me! :)

I just download SGA's new A300 and I must say its a great plane, except the three textures i download wardair,luthansa, and eastern, all of the textures are blurry? this is the first time its happened on any of my planes ive download since fs2004 came out so is there a way to fix this? mAtt

A few years ago, I purchased Abacus "Private Pilot Training" for FS2000, which I liked very much for the good modeling of the Socata TB-10 Tobago and TB-20 Trinidad (IMO, the best for MSFS).With FS2002, these aircrafts were working fine, but some problems could appear if you tried to use these aircrafts for the AI traffic (some parts were ignored).In FS2004, whatever you do, some parts are not drawn (see the attached screenshot). Guys, not sure if this is the right forum, but here goes.Firstly, please assume I know how to install a panel - I've been using FS in all its guises for years, and have many different addons installed with no problems previously, so I HOPE it's not me! LOLJust yesterday, for no reason I can fathom, none of my add-on panels that include XML gauges will display those particular gauges. GAU's - no problem, but XML - just that ugly black blob.I have re-installed FS9, and re-installed one or two of the panels to test them out, with no luck. I tried to modify the panel of the Maule M7 by importing gauges from the Cessna 208, and other planes. However, when I turn on panel lighting, the imported gauges disappear! I suspect I've overlooked something simple. What did I do forget? (I'm a newcomer--I have not yet graduated to XML, BGL, or the SDK). SWA Guy
