    I have recently downloaded 3 different aircraft repaints for boeing 737. The BA version works fine, but when i add the other two the livery never shows in the game. I have put deatils in config using the next number in sequence and trid two ways of putting files. 1st is to add all files in the downloaded folder. other is to copy texture.1 and then just change the texture.1.dll file (which is how i was told to do it for the ba file and it wokred)Any ideas on what i doing wrong?

    Hello all,I've been told that after installing the 800/900 model & service update that it is no longer possible to change the panel bitmaps (for example the bitmap of the radio stack). Before the update one could "repaint" the radio stack bitmap. Is this true? Does this mean that all panel bitmaps are now hard-coded into the PMDG737NG?RegardsDave

    Did they fix the engine spool up characteristics in FSX? FS9 is totally backwards at least for the 737. In the real 737, from flight idle to about 80% N1 takes approx 6 seconds if the engine is running correctly and approx 1.5 seconds from 80% to 93% N1. In FS9 it is just the opposite. Just wondering if anyone noticed or really cared.I know this has been discussed before, just wondering if it is corrected in FSX.Chris

    I noticed in the .h file:#define GET_FAILED(element) (element->image_flags & GAUGE_FAILURE)#define SET_GAUGE_FAILED(element) (element->image_flags |= GAUGE_FAILURE)#define SET_GAUGE_NOT_FAILED(element) (element->image_flags &= ~GAUGE_FAILURE)

    I am looking for some information on the air file parameters. I have the AirEd latest version. In particular I am trying to fix an FSX plane that has low oil pressure. I see a parameter (544) in the air file. I cannot find any place that gives instructions on this, and many other, parameters. Thanks, regards, Bob.

    Composite Simulations is a small development team in the early stages of developing an aircraft addon for FSX, we are looking for a programmer to work with us.The addon will be a representation of a military jet aircraft with an analogue cockpit and systems. Our main objective is to produce the aircraft's systems and cockpit functions as realistically as possible, we are aiming to push FS beyond its present boundaries.Our intention is to sell this product, it may be via our own website or we could use an established Flight Sim software publisher.Payment would be commission based, so it will depend on the success of the product.Ideally we would like to find a programmer wh…

    I obtained clearance to make an Air New Zealand 787-9 for the following model: the CamSim 787-9, avaible here in AVSIM. The problem is: I can't edit any texture because I can't have any texture editing program.I request this because Air New Zealand is the real-world launch customer for the 787-9 and I enjoy this 787-9 really much.

    Dear all,this topic is for collecting details about the new XML gauge syntax introduced by FSX. I want to share my results and I am curious about what others found out.The background: I developed a gauge for FS9 which lets you put in a lat/lon as well as a proximity range around it. If the aircraft comes within this range the flight sim is paused. This gauge is useful for long range, unattended flights where you want the flight sim to stop near the destination airport. The gauge worked perfectly in FS9. Now I installed it in FSX. You guess what? It doesn't work. The lat/lon values (text elements) are not displayed and the expression evaluation doesn't work. So I rewrote t…

    Hi experts,A question (or warning ?) for you.......In all my XML gauges for FS9 I use simple constructions like:(A:SIM ON GROUND,bool)SPBRKWhich works without any problem.Iow: print a string or not, based on a certain condition.Now, in FSX this code doesn't work properly.- If I load the 2D-panel (in Windowed mode) sometimes the string will be displayed when appropriate, sometimes it won't. Usually the first section in the gauge that does this, works, and the next sections with the same construction don't.- And if it doesn't, switching to Fullscreen mode, suddenly displays the string correctly (but not always).- And when switching to Fullscreen mode solved it, after switch…

    I have downloaded a few textures and in all of them it says to add files and data to the aircraft config. But in my FSX folder the aircraft config is a file with no path.. and when i ask to chose a program from web to run the config file its suggests some static IP program which is clearly wrong. How do access this config file so i can update it. Or am i dsoing everything wrong. Very grateful for any help.

    I know that it is possible to get around the 0-9 panel limit using XML code, by using "ident" in the code, e.g.:225 (>K:PANEL_ID_TOGGLE)The question is whether it is possible to duplicate this in C gauges? I'd really rather avoid having to use XML for panel control, but don't see anyway to implement this scheme in C...

    I'm attempting to design a Graphic Engine Monitor gauge. One of the features is a trend indicator light that displays whether the EGT is increasing or decreasing. I tried the following without success. Line 3 -- I hoped that, every update cycle, it would store the variable "EGT" as a variable called "Old", then take the current Eng1 exhaust gas temperature and store it as the variable "EGT". By comparing "EGT" to "OLD", I could tell if the temperature was increasing or decreasing. Unfortunately, this code is so broken that "EGT" and "Old" never appear to be anything other than the default value of zero. Help with this code? Or, can anyone suggest another way to kee…

    I've now been playing with my hoist gauge and I am getting very frustrated. I want to add a timer to the gauge. Simple code - even found some on here.I'm using the FS Panel Studio's gauge editor, editing the XML myself.I add a line of code the gauge disappears. remove the line - gauge is still gone. Fiddle with the **** XML for 30 minutes and suddenly the gauge reappears. Put a different but similar line back in and the gauge disappears repeat above steps ad nauseum.Is there a syntax checker or some tool or some means available to find out why my switch disappears (and by disappear - I mean it literally does not appear on a loaded aircraft panel in FS9).I swear I'm …
