I have all Saitek gear, yoke, rudder and quadrants. The settings have a place where it says change assignments but there is nothing to click there? So my quadrant controls the yoke and my toe brakes control the elevator. Where can I change this? How do I change keyboard assignments as well. Also bonus question. After a flight what is the best way to end it? Esc?? Then??

Just had this problem and fixed. The exe.xml file.. I had several things not loading.. changed them all to true and no more annoying messages. Switching to SE has been wrought with annoying little situations like this.. gah

I come to Avsim almost every day just to look around. For me it's the best most put together website for flight simulation there is. I can't find the answer anywhere so I am hoping someone can help. Where in the FSX.cfg file do I slow down the rate at which the view moves around when you use the HAT switch. It moves way to quick for me. I remember somewhere in the .CFG file there was a value to adjust. Thanks

Based on what they did to the train sim game it will be DLC's and marketing marketing marketing. Who knows.. wish them luck

Has anyone done a Challenger 604 or variant to that biz jet that is decent payware. Up to at least Caranado standards. I know there was a freeware but it was a little rough compared.

I am accessing the site at around midnight west coast USA time and it said 250 unregistered guests are accessing the site. I don't buy that at all. So this must be a way to force people to register. No biggie except windows 7 doesn't want to save my cookies and my log in information so I have to log in each time. It's not that bad of an issue as I don't come here every day. I have a similar problem with the Xbox one. Have to re-sign in every single time I play. That sucks.

Mega Scenery does make it look awesome and you can fly VFR with real landmarks.. I wish there was some sort of autogen. The US Cities X and ORBX makes the scenery look so amazing which blows my mind as well. I was back on the monochrome versions with simple sticks on an orange screen.

I live in Santa Maria and commute up to MRY quite often. I have the MegaScenery for Cali which is FLAT with no autogen so I wondered what my home airport would look like with ORBX.. Do you have any enhancements to SMX? It looks better than default.

Shivers I noticed you have very negative posts.. Or at the least you don't seem to like people having their own opinions.

I'm going to say Orbx anything in California. I have Mega Scenery but I know there must be a way to do it better. No autogen sucks.

I bought a super computer (my video card is two away from the Titan for Christ sake) and I've noticed when I switch the Texture_Max_Load in my .cfg file to 4096 instead of 1024 I get 50-60 FPS but when it gets switched back to 1024 because of who knows why I only get between 8 and 15. I also went through the .cfg configuration program which I think also helped. Good luck to the original poster.

Both Project Cars and Auran Train Simulator are using crowd funding to finance their simulation projects. With all the brain power from companies like Orbx or A2A it's a shame someone can't take up flight simulator. Look what A2A has done by re-writing the code of the game to make things better. I'm guessing someone smart with enough resources could do this. Is Flight Simulator a trade marked name that nobody else can ever use? Is designing a flight simulator just too complicated? I was thinking about how smooth Grand Theft Auto 5 runs on the 360 and how detailed the terrain and city was. You can fly over that stuff no problem and it looks amazing.. Why does the flight simulator on a PC based platform have to run so horrible with so little detail? I suppose there are other sims like X-Plane that have tried to make a flight sim and done a decent job and even that failed Flight looked like it could be promising so it has to be possible to move the original FSX code forward. I guess at the end of the day it's all about the ability to make money with the project.. but maybe that brings me back to the crowd funding idea. The project is already funded in advance and other sim genre's are using it just fine.

I would be worried if my system crashed and I had to re-instal my FSX from zero and couldn't activate it. Not sure if that is what happened here but I always wonder what will happen if I have to re-instal from scratch.

This plane is the best I've flown in a flight sim. Wonderful pictures. I also chose to fly that livery first.

This should put all other developers on notice of what kind of realism is required in order to get people to buy their stuff. I have purchased airplanes that seem just above the default. It looks like this offering will be the standard for price and features that at least I will base all future purchasing decisions on.

I lost my default AI when I installed WOA. Sucks... I uninstalled all of them in expert mode but now I live in a Steven King movie while flying. So I guess I will just need to either reinstall FSX or buy an addon. any suggestions on how to get default back?
