EDIT ---- .... well, after a while the TrackIR stopped working again..... lost the green light . Anyone managed to sort this ?

I seem to have it fixed by installing an older version of - nVidia app (I think the Feb release) - and the sim installation that Id messed up is now more or less back to norms... feeling better, lol An upside to messing is that I found out how to get my 'TrackIR5' to stop its disconnecting nonsense. Just reinstalled to a folder outside of the - Program Files (x86) - folder. Went against Natural Points own advice. So far so good......

... I too, am having this annoying problem.. upset my whole 2024 install trying to fix it.

First - No GSX seated passengers - I see them enter the cabin and immediately disappear. Second - Autopilot disconnect on LNAV/VNAV and never can get it to reconnect , not even into HDG mode...... What am I missing ?....

Can anyone help with the problem of some Pics which are posted in this Forum being blocked in the UK. Is there a way to see these pics that are blocked.... this is what I see for some pictures posted -

Hi Fielder, Some of us who like to read your posts and see your pics are missing out if we live in the UK as whatever you use ... if its either Format or App for your pics ... is getting blocked by our Gov. Please can you use a different suitable method for your pics... Thanks aero

I use - Lorby's Axis And Ohs - for various settings in the SWS PC12 and for the Elevator Trim I set the parameter for it at 15000 or -15000 for trim up and down which is also multiplied by the 'Roll' figure which I've set at 9 , I find this gives a good speed .... ... figures can be seen in the top right of the floating panel in the pic https://i.gyazo.com/73898fbf453bdf5f785008a7757f9c4e.png

I've heard and it has shown me in previous testing that the best outside temperature to get airframe icing in the sim is approx between -2 and -5 C... you must have a lot of moisture, I have seen the 'rain' running across the side windows but it was also freezing on the airframe at the same time and building ice.... The reported icing conditions by Navigraph charts and others dont seem to be entirely accurate as when you go there the conditions have changed a lot of the time. Anchorage area and down that West coast is, I find , usually best for icing... Of course you can set icing conditions most places in the sim with the weather creator. It would be handy for some feedback from pilots to find which aircraft actually do ice up with the real dynamic effects..... PS- If you start to get an accumulation of ice then be careful where you fly, try and stay in that moist cold air area for a while. If you fly over open water or enter a warmer patch then the ice can disappear quite quickly with a slight rise in temp also if you climb too high and the air gets colder then the moisture turns to ice crystals and won't stick to the skin.

... a few years back I tested it out in the A2A Comanche and I got locked into icing down to the ground and not enough lift to climb out... yes had to keep pitching the nose up until it couldn't sustain lift and I sat with it into the ground.... Don't know what planes are affected by ice in the sim but I suspect the developers have to do some things to make it realistic... The Aerostar will probably definitely have the same effects as its also made by A2A...

Did the aircraft weight increase and the wing shape/texture alter to eventually cause the plane to lose lift until it crashed...? Or was it it just visual textures and no real effects ?

Thank you for the info... it helped me already. I just did a flight from LIRN Naples to LFMN Nice and it was a really pleasant flight.... it is so much bettter than before the update, I did have to intervene at some stages and experiment a bit with autothrottle etc but it was ok and the plane didnt go crazy, in fact seemed kinda stable, I'm sure with a few more flights learning the anomalies things will be even better...... Thanks FSS for continuing with this , the final product is now in sight... PS - I had problems after installing it at first... it didnt install properly and some things werent there or didnt work - if the VNAV button doesnt move when u click it then you need to sort out the installation. I am on the Aerosoft App and I found I had to search my PC for any installs (various locations) and delete them all also ORBX Remote folder caused problems for me (maybe becos of Dynamic Links etc). Reinstall fresh .

Just wondering ... has anyone been able to get the weather injected again ? It's still not working for me . I also wonder if any one has a solution to the SIM MSFS2024 data being read and updated instead of the 2020 data... I read someone has the weather being injected from ActiveSky, I bought this program but I still cant get the weather into the app. .....if no solutions then I guess it's going to have to be Little Nav Map from now on ....

I think it seems to be specifically the TAF thats got the problem or missing ....

Matt, Would you happen to be able to , or know someone who could fix the - Aivlasoft EFB - which is affected but there is no Dev to work on it- it was abandoned because of competition affecting its profitability...... cheers

After finding my Aivlasoft EFB app had stopped giving the weather for DEP ARR airports etc., I found out that some other Weather incorporated apps in the sim community were also not functioning correctly. I saw a post from a dev from one of those apps who had found that the - AWC Weather server - had changed the format of their broadcasts and/or deleted some of their ouput info. Now this dev said that he would have his app fixed to accept the new format. Problem is, I dont know if anyone can fix Aivlasoft to accept the changes... If anyone has the knowledge, capability to fix this that would be great ...... it may only be an IP address change or something simple required Thanks

Aivlasoft weather is having problems too.... doesnt show airport weather and has error message in the server settings - tic a tape...

I made a window interface board to connect a Portable Air Con unit to and also an output hose from my PC cupboard under the desk. Since this pic I've added an input hose to the aircon, to make a balanced pressure for the room.... is great in the summer. In the winter the board comes down and the PC is a heater.
