Fbw didn't mention if this a380 will have both engine types. It would be bit of a bummer to fly emirates with rr engines or ba with ea engines.

I might buy AS16 P3D full as future investment when moving to P3D from FSX Steam but I have to look at my pocket as well.

Thanks for that. I checked and there was no texture folder. Probably was removed.

I managed to get it to work. What I realized was when I did the transition from FSX legacy to FSX Steam, I didn't add the TIMEZONE scenery folder to the scenery library. Doing that has definitely helped the issue.

Hi I have dual Fsx and steam edition installed. I didn't realize this at first but yesterday I noticed my FSX Se edition was showing wrong time zones. Even with FS real time connected LTBA location was showing +1 utc time. I must mention I am using FS REAL TIME with usual config. Tht is when I installed steam edition I didn't make any changes to fs real time. Yesterday when I reinstalled fs real time latest edition I only got the sim option Fsx to install to. No FSX SE option. If someone can suggest any ideas that would be really appreciated

I have seen that video before and really love it. Actually I would really like to replicate that approach into queenstown and would like to see if ASN or any weather addon can replicate those conditions when approaching using PMDG 737....

Honestly, I would take a deeper look into your performance. I have switched to FSX-SE and things are working great for me. I had to turn down few things. But if you are still experiencing a lot of OOM's with FSX-SE, I suspect you still come across those issues with P3D v3. Probably little less OOM's. If you are using a lot of photoscenery, you may want to turn down few things...

Thats strange. I have both legacy FSX and FSX-SE installed on the same drive on my computer. I already had PMDG removed from FSX legacy and had it installed only for FSX-SE. For this update last night, I was able to remove PMDG from FSX-SE and re-install it back into FSX-SE only without any issues.

I have Rex Texture Direct and ASN both purchased seperately out of steam store ....All updated for FSX Steam and they work just fine for me. Just make sure you read their instructions carefully. As long you are following them, you should be fine.

Yes it can. I am doing it right now. But now I regret it. Initially I thought I will see if I like FSX-SE. Now I am loving it. What I didn't realize is that steam creates a different folder in AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX-SE to seperate itself from FSX folder. This becomes problematic when trying to install old addons into steam which confuses itself where it should install. I will be ditching my legacy FSX but to have FSX Steam work in a clean system I will need to remove FSX-SE, and re-install FSX-SE from scratch. I will definitely recommend to move over to steam edition but remove FSX legacy first if you want some peace of mind.

Thats interesting David. I am actually surprised to see around 10ish FPS difference between FSX SE and P3Dv3 (considering P3Dv3 has no AI). If you have traffic in both at 0% what was your vas management like flying in both sims ? Did you ever come very close to OOM with or without the binging sound in either of the sims ?

I got the fsx version. Its bit heavy but using fsx steam edition its finally impressive enough for me to fly it. I did a quick test flight around flytampa dubai and UK2000 Heathrow V3. Its very fun to fly. I do miss the 777 electronic checklist though ... hehe spoiled by technology.

Yes I am having that same issue myself. I have recently moved to FSX-SE and was wary if I should install their New York X. Guess I will stick with FSDT scenery. Their day textures are ok. Their night textures are horrible on my FSX Legacy sim. Looks very cartoonish.

This is an old topic but I would like to ask now with the new update released for pro-atc, I wanted to ask does pro-atc work well with US airports. The reason I am asking is because US airports don't tend to follow strict SID and STAR rules. ATC generally vectors you in and out. Does Pro-atc handle such environments decently enough now ?
