Indeed, it is about the money --> people expecting to get paid for their work and effort. How dare they! Get a subscription to RealTraffic --> --> problem solved!

So, over the last couple of days I've completely switched up my set-up. Bye bye, FSTL, and hello AIG + PSXT + RealTraffic.  Have to say, I'm impressed.  Yeah, RealTraffic costs money. I

All good things come to end.  I LOVED the simplicity of FSLTL.  I just liked when I was moving around an airport there was eye candy.  Disappointing the fate of this program.  I knew things at FR24 were changing a few months back when they sent a survey asking how much I'd be willing to pay to use FR24 as a hobby.  I read they got taken over by some company so it's all about the money now - same as flightaware.  Typical this day in age.

What about leaving us the choice to keep using FSLTL with a paid subsciption ?

Already got the answer:

FR24 subscription plans do not include API credits. And as covered in our announcements , the cost for the API credits is not designed for something like the FSLTL injector that is making frequent requests including multiple aircraft. The pricing is cost prohibitive and not something we're interested in offering. As mentioned, in the future, if we're able to work with FR24 to offer a lower cost option, we'll look into it.

Yet another subscription nibbling away at the household income.
More like a problem created.

PSXT is controlled by real world ATC. Neither default ATC, BATC nor FSHud have any influence on it, which is one of the reasons I would never touch it.

That is one of the main reasons for me to only use it.  None of the ATC programs can move traffic anywhere near like real ATC, it's just too corny to watch. So with that, I treat traffic as 100% eye candy and PSXT is the ONLY one to come even close to properly moving traffic.

That’s pretty much where I landed too. If I just want believable movement around the airport, PSXT makes sense. But for normal offline flying I still prefer the simpler compromise of AIG plus the default real-time traffic, mostly because it keeps the cost and setup down. It isn’t as convincing in motion, especially for GA, but for me it’s good enough as background traffic.

My big thing is FSLTL was just easy.  I don't really need live traffic, and don't want to pay for it.  I took the time to set up AIG and I'm glad I did, but that was a project.  I have it working great now, but it took some time to get there.

I primarily use BATC anyway, so I don't use FSLTL injection a ton, but it is nice to just start up a flight without a flight plan and just inject a bunch of traffic.

Maybe this is just me, but one thing that bugs me about traffic that requires a flight plan is that it ignores airports along the way.  There might be some cruise traffic, but if you fly over another airport, it will be empty.  For example if I take off from JFK to some other destination, LGA will not have any planes.  I love flying the VFR route over LAX, so I want traffic at LAX even though I'm not there.
