Previously they had no way to implement a tilt function in WX RADAR. Now that Asobo has give the developers a path forward, the developers must now pick up the ball and carry it across the finish line. My take at least. YMMV. TANSTAAFL. Blue skies, -ab

Windows Backup and Restore (Windows 7) not so well (restores often failed). 2. Acronis (to local external storage not cloud). 3. One Drive … definitely NOT, just for data not a full system. 4. M.2 replicator device, super fast, super simple, super reliable but requires removal of M.2 from PC. If I need a good system image backup today, I’d go with Acronis. I don’t consider my Flight Sim PC as “critical” so currently don’t have a backup solution. My other workstation (a more serious computer) I do backup to my NAS and if I’m doing a serious upgrades to my workstation I will replicate the M.2’s. If I do decide to try SU5, I can withdraw if I do not like the results, then just restore my drive. I don't think that's a very good idea at all. Bear in mind the whole idea of the beta is to give feedback to the dev team. Features that you might take for granted can be broken and how you leave the beta can potentially mean a full reinstall of the sim and the reconstitution of your community folder. With that in mind read up very carefully how you enter the beta and how you leave it. No one - including the devs - know when the beta will end at the moment. Most importantly; If your sim is installed to the default location - i.e. your C drive, and you are still in the beta when it ends and SU5 official is released then you will be forced to reinstall SU5 and your community folder and graphic settings will be wiped. Bear in mind the notice that the beta is ending is very short and many people have been caught out by this. In this case having a back up of SU4 is meaningless. Even if you load the backup the sim will still wipe this and reinstall the full sim as SU5 - with a fresh, clean, empty community folder. The Cloud however will retain your control settings...and that's it. Edited April 7Apr 7 by DD_Arthur

I'm now in sim heaven thanks to MSFS 2024 and hundreds of add-ons!

That only happened with SU5 so far I moved everything over to FSUIPC7 and have a backup of the config files. I got burned a few times with beta updates. April 8Apr 8 VR performance is much better in the beta. To a lesser degree, so is the 2D monitor fps and stability. Controller profiles were an issue with me. They seem to require retweeking, unlike the release version of the sim. (Remember the sim allows you to back up your profiles to your local disc in any version of 2024). I sometime revert back to the non beta and then back to beta maybe the next day. It has been very fast, 15 minutes tops. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel.
