Sorry, another request.  Where is the MSFS2020 executable ?

It depends on where you installed the sim as well as what you used to install it. MS Store or Steam. Need more info.

Found it, but file shows 0 bites.  Must be gone somewhere - Recycle bin ??

The location of the EXE for MS Store buyers is the one I quoted above.

(Unless it's been placed in a non-standard custom location but you'd know where it was if you'd done that).

The file size of the EXE doesn't necessarily correspond to the install size of MSFS2024, because of all the streamed content.

for a more general files/path situation, I usually locate the EXE for MSFS/MSFS2024 store version using the xbox app on the pc:

click the 3 dots button, then "MANAGE"

 

then "FILES, "BROWSE"

et voila, the directory here in my case, not necessarily always drive C

<your drive letter>  J:\MSFS2024\Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024\Content

I'm so sorry Dave, I completely misread your original post and assumed this was MSFS 2024.   After seeing @Reader's post above, I realised that you referenced MSFS 2020, not 2024 in your post.

So ignore everything I've said in this thread, as it's all for MSFS 2024 😊
