Amen

New anonymous ownership, doesn't mean that fligtsim.com will be gone though. It just going to be different

Oh man that's rough. I have such fond memories of coming home from school and clogging up phone lines trying to download various liveries on dial-up. Christ, that was 25 years ago.

Well true, to an extent, “The FlightSim.com Store has now closed and is not expected to return. Additionally, file hosting (library) will remain available only through December 2025, at which time file downloads will transition to an archival mode.”

And

“What this means after December: Forums, discussions, news and a screenshot gallery will remain the core of the new community, this includes all archived posts.”

So…for those who purchased their software via Flightsim.com, Flightsim.com IS effectively gone.

Blue skies,

I spent a lot of time there over the years, before I migrated to Avsim as my primary flightsim forum - to be honest it’s been so long I can’t remember why or when.

Nels Anderson built a great community there, along with train-sim.com.

Agreed.

I don't know about anybody else, but I left when they totally changed the look and feel of the site. It went from a familiar home to some generic looking mess.

The good days ha! Then in high school as ADSL was slowly becoming a thing, I started taking a USB drive to school to download from the school library.

Couldn’t wait to get home and try POSKYs latest
