It's good to hear that Phil Spencer is an aviation fan and that he's excited by the plans Jorg has shown him.

and even more than that a fan of great profits. 😄

"Phil Spencer's net worth is not definitively published or confirmed, but various sources estimated it to be around $25 million as of early 2024, with some projections for 2025 reaching about $27 million, reflecting salary and stock-based compensation from Microsoft. He is the CEO of Microsoft Gaming and his wealth is derived from his leadership position and investments within the tech industry"

You are not supposed to watch YT videos at work anyway.

I'm sure you'll find 12 minutes when you are at home. 😉

we'll soon make a super fantastic new marketing video and it will sell 2 trillions more copies so it will be the most successfull game of all time, all our users are so happy with msfs2024, it's so perfect, just look at our marketing videos.

we'll probably add 1000 new unfinished planes and great stuff to make super fantastic great screenshots ! We are working hard screwing the LOD system and lowering the texture quality optimizing so that everybody will have 100 fps ! It will be fantastic !

ok this is a joke, i didn't even watch the video, don't get mad at me, like you i have great hope that someday it will be what some of us hoped it would be (it's still good but well, some of you know) ... 🙊😜😜😁🍻

He’s very happy the EC135, a German-ish helo derived from the older MBB (and he said the whole thing out loud so I finally know how to pronounce “Bolkow”!) is in the sim.

.DE has the 2nd largest flight sim community after .US!

the newest update brings scenery resolutions as high as 3cm (!)

theres  .JP show soon, and some good stuff will be announced there

more World updates coming for NON EU/US areas.

3 scanning teams are airborne around the globe at present

he acknowledged the poor 2024 launch state

they have a dev plan thru at least 2028, and Schiller is very supportive of especially the next year stuff

Career mode is slated for ongoing development, and at least some users have over 1000 hrs in CM!!

Reno Air Racing is in the pipeline (or whatever it is these days)

Red Bull stuff was very taciturn

im sure im forgetting stuff, so do watch the vid

overall a good, upbeat interview and he seemed genuinely happy - always good to hear from him!

Great summary, thanks! After watching it what intrigued me the most was what he didn't want to give any details about... The upcoming surprises and new features and what they have planned out till 2028. Sounded like these will start to come in with SU4 and beyond. Hoping for tidbits and more info of some of these with the upcoming dev livestreams.

Jorge is very passionate, and you can tell he’s trying his best to deliver the best flight simulator product. But at the end of the day, he’s a very small fish within the Microsoft ecosystem, and I’m sure many of the things he wants done ASAP end up getting pushed back.

Great video.  If you can, it's worth a watch.

Wonderful to see how passionate Jorge is when it comes to the simulator.

Looking forward to all the good stuff that's coming.

Just a quick note, since I noticed it a number of times on this thread: His name is Jörg (pronounced "yurg", rhymes with "iceberg"), not Jorge.

And to add: If your keyboard has no umlaut then spell him "Joerg".
