I assume the author did that on purpose. https://www.skytough.com/post/cessna-citation-x/ The Citation X is currently the second-fastest flying business jet in the world, second only to its successor, the Citation X+. August 11, 2025Aug 11 You do realise your posted chart is at 5000ft? What point are you trying to make? Those Mach numbers are as you would expect. Cheers Steve Hall
August 11, 2025Aug 11 FlightFX IND Mach .91 weight 26000 lbs (edit) at 41000 feet FFX M.92 24000 lbs 37000 feet Note: The FFX cruise tables were not in order by altitude. 50000 feet was first 10000 was next then 15000 then the last one is 51000 feet. So at FL510 best Mach is M.86 with 22000 Lbs Edited August 12, 2025Aug 12 by vonmar Best Regards, Vaughan Martell PP-ASEL KDTW

Throttle Cut is no longer there. Oh well. On 2024 (if using the 2024 keyboard layout) pressing and holding the “F” (letter) key has the same effect as F2 on 2020. I’ve been doing this with the 750 and reverse thrust works. Jim BarrettLicensed Airframe & Powerplant Mechanic, Avionics, Electrical & Air Data Systems Specialist. I finally got it working. 2024 changed throttle cut into something else and I got confused with airliners. Now it works! Sounds like from previous feedback above the flight modeling is actually pretty accurate. Mach .92 is only achievable in the high 30's altitude so it seems. At that altitude you can pretty much scream at Mach .92 even with a high payload but as you go into the 40's it gets more anemic. I was just kind of curious because I have seen it mentioned that it can comfortably climb to 51K feet and cruise at Mach .92 but this is not the case. I was not real heavy by the time I climbed into the 40's. I can't remember my gross weight but I had about 3000 lbs of fuel and 2 passengers at about 175 lbs each plus 2 pilots. I had about 180 lbs in the luggage hold. Best I could do is 46K feet at Mach .88 and the throttle levers were fire walled. Best I could do with the auto throttle on was about .84. I could possibly go a little higher but it was just not happy doing so. I believe it will be out of breath at 51K feet. I am using FS2020 and was using Active Sky at the time. Maybe FS2024 might be slightly better? Also the X+ might have a bit more kick in the pants. I tell you though its a nice ride. Yesterday I took it BFI to KEF and despite the lack of a real tailwind (its summer) most of the way I did it in 6 hours 4 minutes. After a few hours burning some fuel off I climbed to 44K feet and cruised at Mach .88. Fuel burn was around 760 lbs per engine at that altitude and speed. Landing in KEF with about 1800 lbs of fuel remaining. This morning I flew KEF-BGO and cruised in the high 30's and spooled it up to Mach .92. This time got a better tail wind and managed to make it in 1 hour and 24 minutes. IMPRESSIVE Machine! In a day or 2 will fly BGO to TIV and see how well it does flying into that tricky airport. Also be my first time trying that airport.

The aircraft CAN climb to 51K feet. The aircraft CAN cruise at mach .92. If you read somewhere it can cruise at mach .92 WHILE cruising at 51K feet, then that would obviously be wrong.
