Looks amazing, but so did the 2020 version

LOD issues (like scenery randomly popping in and out) is a major bug that's been reported on the 2024 dev forums.   IMHO what happened is that Asobo made LOD too aggressive to support Xbox.  Ther

I would have preferred a free upgrade, but I guess $4.99 is ok-ish....

Anyone find on simmarket?  I purchased original on it and would like to apply discount.

Ini Heathrow 2024 Premium has some LOD issues (ie very late loading buildings when you're right on them) that the discord says are Asobo related right now.

I just landed at Heathrow and most of the terminal buildings were invisible as I taxied around (not including Terminal 2B, which happened to be the terminal I was going to), is that the issue at hand?  On thread, does JFK have the same issue?

Interestingly enough, when you go to the inibuilds page and look at the 2020 vs 2024 comparison photos, the 2020 looks much higher resolution.

If I was inibuilds, I would have "accidently" had the dog eat those picture's

The 2024 image has a whole drainage system the 2020 version doesn’t have.

@RNAV19R, I just flew the ILS 22L with the Learjet 35A at IniBuilds KJFK Enhanced for FS2024 and had no problem. LOC, GS and DME signal stable all the way down 😉

Edit: This is with FS2024 v1.3.23.0 SU1 (I don't use beta versions)

Nice. Good to know.

according to comments in that thread it was also happening with the default JFK, and also in P3D.

Seems to be a conflict with another runway at JFK that uses the same frequency.

So sounds more like a sim issue than a scenery issue.

The problem is that the 22L localizer and 04L localizer use the same frequency (110.9). At the real airport, both localizers would never be operational at the same time, but in the sim they are both “always on”.  The one you receive depends on your position in relation to the runway threshold. In the case of a airport with a single runway that uses the same ILS frequency on both ends (which is common in the real world), the ILS will switch when you pass the midpoint of the runway. Both MSFS and P3D work that way, and it generally works well.

The problem at JFK might be that the threshold of 22L is foward of the threshold of the adjacent runway 22R/04L. If you land a bit long on 22L the localizer might suddenly switch to 04L.

I get what you're saying in that the 2024 looks lower res, but at the same time it's also far more detailed and true to life.

They already stated no more new airports for MS2020. They’re trying anything they can to get everybody to go to 2024.

Like Msobo they are treating the 2020 simmers like trash.

2020 simmers need to continue to Boycott that Sim, and Punish both.

?  Didn't they just release a free city update that came out for both sims?

City update means little. The Sim update was needed. But they cancelled it
