XWind Studio Long Beach Daugherty Field (KLGB) for MSFS 2024
Looks like there's no thread on this, but this was announced back in January when the devs said the airport was 70% done. https://fselite.net/content/xwind-studio-announces-long-beach-airport/ Their last dev update on their Facebook page was on April 6 when they said it is progressing well. Looking forward to this one!

PMDG 737 WASM crash: can be reproduced
I had repeatable WASM crashes in the PMDG 738 when importing the Simbrief FP in the FMC too. What fixed it for me was this: when the plane was cold and dark, I would turn on the EFB only and then import the FP in the EFB. I would then start the plane, and from there I could import the FP into the FMC without any issue. Haven't had a WASM crash since. I should also note that I'm on the SU5 beta.

PMDG B737-700 Released
I have a 5090 but had to RMA my PSU and I'm not taking a chance using the 5090 with my old power supply. I've been using a 5070, so with all of the VRAM issues I guess I will wait until Monday to fly the 737 when I get my PSU back.

iFly B737 Max SP1 beta preview stream (2026/03/14) ENDED
This looks excellent. Have they improved the HUD, especially for non straight-in approaches? That was my only gripe with the iFly.

First flight with the PMDG 777F...
AI is great, but most of what you are talking about here, and the implementations that are most useful in the real world, aren't related to LLMs, and certainly not the LLMs that you use everyday via these fairly unintelligent AI chatbots that are available to the public.

787-9 Dreamliner for FS24 - Project Griffin Announcement
Very exciting news. The aircraft must be pretty far into development if it's set to release this year.

KLAS V3 is releasing tonight for Fs2024.
Perhaps FlyTampa should steal from Glideslope Pro. Then they could have released a better V3 than the garbage they put out.

PMDG 737-800 Set To Release 2025/12/18
It's not childish to say that one product is better than the other. Rarely are two products equal in terms of quality. It's perfectly fine to share that opinion. In fact, it is very helpful when people do so. The more data there is for potential buyers, the more informed they will be when deciding between those products.

PMDG 737-800 Set To Release 2025/12/18
It's all about value. The 5090 and 9800X3D + 64GB DDR5 PC I have is very much worth it to me for well over $5000. I can't get this level of performance with any other combination of hardware. $20+ for a product I have already purchased when others are providing free upgrades for products that are equal or better makes zero sense. I am happy to stick with the iFly 737 MAX, which is better anyway. Having money doesn't mean you just throw it away needlessly. I can purchase hundreds of addons I don't need that would cost me as much as my PC, but that wouldn't be very wise.

Optimise Windows 11 for MSFS2024
None of the Windows settings are specific to MSFS. Those are the recommended settings for gaming in general, although using Balanced power plan isn't necessary for single CCD X3D CPUs (like the 5800X3D, 7800X3D, or 9800X3D.)

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 Takes Flight on PlayStation
The I/O will have nothing to do with it. It's rarely a factor in any game, but it especially won't be a factor in MSFS 2024, where the vast majority of data will be streamed in from the cloud, not from disk. PS5 Pro will be marginally better due to its GPU. But if you use a lot of mods, you will become CPU limited anyway, so the small difference in GPU power will probably not make much difference in that scenario.

MSFS 2024 SU4 Performance Boost over SU3, Tested
I would actually love to see the sim use more system RAM if available. In this video, they have 64 GB available, but the sim is only using about 27GB in SU4. It should load more assets into RAM ahead of time so that it doesn't have to load them into RAM from the cloud right as you are about to land. That way, it can transfer them from RAM to VRAM more seamlessly, hopefully reducing the stutters.

MSFS 2024 SU4 Performance Boost over SU3, Tested
Frame rate limit might be one reason, but rolling cache might be another. If you are flying in the same locations a lot, that could be why you have smoother performance in those areas.

MSFS 2024 SU4 Performance Boost over SU3, Tested
I wouldn't say that there was more stuttering in SU4. The 1% low is much better in SU4, indicating a smoother experience. It's still not perfect, though, but definitely better.

MSFS 2024 SU4 Performance Boost over SU3, Tested
What are your PC specs? Have you actually done a side by side comparison with average frame rate and 1% low metrics to see if there is indeed no difference, or are you just eyeballing it?

MSFS 2024 SU4 Performance Boost over SU3, Tested
This is a very weird post. It would be extremely unusual for an update focused on performance optimization to only benefit one specific hardware configuration. I think it's safe to assume that the majority of people will see a performance uplift. In fact, many others have posted about seeing an improvement in performance with different hardware.
