November 19, 20241 yr Okay, was stuck at the infamous 97% and decided to restart my PC. 1. It didn't try to install anything again. 2. I didn't ask me to login to XBOX. 3. I was stuck at 6% for a while just like the first time... I am at 13% activating packages... My conclusion: when you see those percentages it means the game has installed fine. (It was done within a few minutes on my PC.) After that the sim is simply trying to load from the cloud... This isn't an initial first time only thing: it's just the sim being unable to load due to server load. So do not restart your PC: it will only have you starting the game all over again with most probably the exact same result. This means that for me MSFS2024 is unplayable today. It just won't load. I'll give it another go tomorrow.

November 19, 20241 yr Got back in. Went for Career mode and my airport is not selectable to use as a starting location. Odd, it was during the tech alpha.

November 19, 20241 yr I got to the customise part thing and chose default guy no.1 (as I always do in any game). Got to fly the 172 a bit, but most planes are missing. Intel Core i5-12600k, Nvidia RTX 4070 Super, 128 Gigs.
