Exactly the same statements were made a few years back with P3D products. We gonna fix it after release, we're working on it, it will be fixed for MSFS, etc. His credibility and promises are quite slim. Not a good record. 747 Captain for the last 39 years, and still learning.
April 18, 20224 yr PMDG are certainly good at one thing and that is marketing. If they sold your house they would get 500 people at the auction. Regards, Max (YSSY) i7-12700K | Corsair Vengeance LPX 64GB 3600MHz DDR4 | Gigabyte RTX4090 24Gb | Gigabyte Z690 AORUS ELITE DDR4 | Corsair HX1200 PSU
April 18, 20224 yr After watching Chewies Stream I wasn't blown away. It's the same plane I flew in P3D but prettier. And thinking back to how I was flying more of the Airbus in P3D I have no problems waiting for the -800 and using my free credit. Running i5-9600K @ 4.8ghz - 32GB DDR4 3200mhz - GTX 3070.

Never buy a promise of what’s to come, because it might not either in the short term, or perhaps ever. If it’s priced at $80 (for example) you’d best be prepared to be happy with only what’s implemented on release for the price. Regarding the somewhat poor fps during takeoff on Chewwy’s stream, I choose to believe what I’m seeing over what I’m hearing. I hope to be pleasantly surprised, but at least I won’t be disappointed. April 19, 20224 yr Must say that I'm feeling the hype. I haven't been flying much since about 12+ years ago in FSX and PMDG MD11/747/737. What I'm experiencing now with the graphics in MSFS2020 is just something different than what was the case 12 years ago. Just flying the standard planes is a joy and I find myself enjoying flying GA now because of the graphics. I really didn't fly GA before. Was watching the stream to Fabio earlier, and it was a joy. It's really fun to see him smiling when watching the 737 on cilmbout in external view. Makes me want the plane even more. He also seem to know what hes talking about. Gonna watch more of his streams the next days. Personally I'm more interested in the -800, but I doubt I will wait for it. Anyways, great to be back to FS.
April 19, 20224 yr I've been a long time PMDG customer and fan for as long as I can remember. They've always been a day 1 buy for me without question. It's great to see them getting the 37 ready for release in our new sim. I watched Chewy's stream a little bit and tried to watch Fabio's...lol. In any case, I really hate to say this, but, I am not hyped for this. You'd think I'd be all over it being the first real 'in depth' 'full featured' tube-liner for MSFS. I just don't feel the bar has been raised at all here. No RNP capability/upgraded avionics (seemingly anyways without the updated LNAV according to Chewy.). The graphics are better, but not mind blowing. Nothing new over the P3D version that I can tell. I know it's still beta, but I think we've already seen that this aircraft has the same feature set as the P3D version. Not trying to bring them down or anything, but man. I know these things are coming. I don't doubt that, but this one is going to have be priced really low for a day 1 buy. Jeff D. April 19, 20224 yr Yeah, that's the reason why I am more excited about the Fenix A320 right now. I hope they will drop a new update soon. @VBHB Comm'on that wasn't he fault :P

What I'm experiencing now with the graphics in MSFS2020 is just something different than what was the case 12 years ago. Pretty much the same situation as me. That was a great stream, and believe Fabio is back later tonight with another flight on the 737. Some farcical takes on here aside (curiously from those who seem b**thurt and salty about PMDG), it truly is something to see an aircraft of such complexity in the MSFS world.. and bodes well for what is to come from Fenix, Maddog, Inibuilds et al. And yes, to me it looks a sh*t tonne better than it does in P3D, but that's no surprise. Even if the initial 700 release comes with the old VNAV and without an EFB it's still going to end up in my hangar, as it will in hundreds of others. And I'll gladly take the free upgrades like new VNAV and new EFB and other improvements during the next couple of months. Like their DC6, PMDG is looking at another winner here that's going to vastly outsell the equivalent versions for previous sims. I for one can't wait for MSFS SU9, SU10 and beyond with all these upcoming high fidelity aircraft! The 1986 version of me playing Sublogic's simulator on the C64, or even the early 2000s and 2010s version of me playing subsequent sims, could only imagine and dream of what is now reality with MSFS in 2022. April 19, 20224 yr I agree, if I purchased the 737 for P3D and didn't get an update to the LNAV and others, i'd be annoyed. I think I know why it didn't get fixed, though. All their energy and focus went into MSFS and P3D went by the wayside. I doubt it will ever get an update, but if I was a betting man, if it ever does get implemented, I would put my money on it being for MSFS. I'm not sure what will come, but I know producing these planes is very complex and it takes time. I think in time, more features will come, but they'll only be for MSFS birds.
April 19, 20224 yr @lwt1971 Nice synopsis! And you beat my flight sim experience by about 5 years! Just think how good that departure or arrival will look with some of the new airport sceneries!
