  1. @Kristofski I use 2024 95% of the time. If an aircraft or scenery package is not available in 2024 that I need for a video, I use 2020. With more systems depth aircraft on the horizon ..... M600, Phenom 300E and the Praetor 600, I will be 100% 2024.
  2. You can have both versions installed on your computer as I do providing you have the disc space. You start the one you want.
  3. You are not alone with the Gulfstream dreaming. In the near future - FSReborn Phenom 300E 😉
  4. @UrgentSiesta “And here’s some nostalgic sizzle to go with that steak:” These guys are the best at promos! You almost want to buy the promo and watch it over and over. Their product quality matches or exceeds the hype in their promos. Just learned of this product a few days ago from a friend who happens to be an encyclopedia on the F-4 Phantom. I was waiting for the Rafale by AP, but will likely go for this one. Somehow I predict not too much siesta and more urgency when it hits the market! Cheers!
  5. Hey,hey always nice to have the essentials to get you up and going ASAP. Thanks!

  13. Ha, ha. Just looking for a high airport and got side tracked with the list of highest airports. Sometimes I never know which way the background research takes me. The A2A aircraft are modeled so well and the characteristics of flight in low air density was really appreciated!

  15. I find light snow coverage is very convincing on the vegetation and most ground coverage. Dialing up the thickness of snow coverage is not convincing especially with no 3D aspects in deep snow.
  16. You outlined this quite well. We certainly know that certain a/c are replicated as close as possible as the sim permits in the above comparisons. In some respects many would consider realism overlapping with components of the flight model. When I first loaded up the A2A Comanche and absorbed the a/c response to the flight controls, I was very impressed and felt like I was in the real deal! The engine sounds fed into the realism as did the cockpit sounds. I’m sure Carenado has produced some a/c with excellent flight modeling. Irrespective of not addressing certain problems, some of their interior and exterior texturing remains good that adds to the realism.
  17. Carenado will always have a place in the flight sim hobby. A good percentage of folks still place the visuals over features of system depth and accuracy. The ability to dream in favourite aircraft. Just about everyone remembers the quality of their pilots and aircraft sounds achieved in FSX. For me it was the Skymaster that cemented the Carenado reputation. Some developer legacies remain the same while others change direction. We all now have the choice of what we desire in an aircraft with the explosion of developers sparked by MSFS2020!
  18. Fun video to show the strip night lights for those interested.
