Rob, I'm unable to start the plane from cold and dark. Even removed all mods so that only the Bonanza Turbo is in the community folder, rebooted the computer and still no go. Anyone else?

James

Thank you, Rob.  This is by far my favorite plane to fly.

Starts fine for me.  Run through the checklist.  Alternators on, batteries on, fuel on, cycle fuel pump, move condition lever from cutoff to full rich, crack throttle lever open slightly, engage parking brake, hold the key in the start position by holding down the left mouse button.

Have you tried CTR E to check you didn't miss any switches? CTR E always starts automatically. Do you have a dedicated starter switch using your own yoke/stick/buttons?(ie not using CTR E or the mouse?) If so please read the readme and docs. There is an alternative starter routine file for this.

I had trouble starting up. That doesn't detract from the fine work.

I kept flipping fuel tank selector and buttons/switches and it finally got going.

I didn't touch anything to do with the tank selector. Did you read the guide?

Thank you. I should have read through the docs. I'm using the Logitech Switch panel and the alternative engine.cfg file was the fix.

Robert, I like what you have done with the starter switch. Gained my multi and instrument ratings in a B55 about 50 years ago.  Starting (switch) was similar to starting my MGB roadster.

I use the Honeycomb Alpha and unbound the rotary switch.  Why?  Because I find the location on their panels of the Baron and Bonanza switches more intuitive to use with the mouse.  They are just in the right place.  The Honeycomb has  it's rotary switch on the opposite side of the yoke from the correct Beech position.

Ah, the wonderful MGB. Pure simple poetry. Still got it?

Have the one pictured. The B I had in college and through my Air Force weather school rusted out.  Midwest winters and road salt.  My current B was a dry weather California car I secured when I lived there.  It has not seen rain or snow since I retired to Maryland.  It is in my man cave.  Did just log 1.5 hours (Ha!) in it two days ago. I keep it well maintained and it runs great.

I've had no problems starting so far, seems to work just like V2.
