S340 FSX | P3D

Hi, Trying to install the S340 and when I enter the serial I get an error code 405 and it tells me ‘invalid serial’. Carenado suggest I turn off firewalls etc. I did that with the same results. I have many other Carenado aircraft so can’t imagine it’s on my end, but you never know. Any suggestions gratefully received. Many thanks! Rich.

does the reality xp gtn750 work with this aircraft??

Hi Folks, I have flown this plane a few times, and with few problems. Today for some crazy reason, it wants to run away, even with the throttle levers fully retarded. I am using the GF throttle quadrant, but also checked the prop levers on the flight deck. Have to sit on the brakes as hard as i can, and it will not quit rolling way too fast. Anyone ever have this problem, or a solution?

Hello all, This might, or might not, be a bug with the FMS. When i use VNAV and NAV, and i watch the flight plan on the MFD, the current leg color does not change once the waypoint is reached, the color on the flightplan on the MFD stays light blue, so does not change to purple... Is this supposed to happen, or this is a bug? Thanks

Hi all, I've just bought the Carenado S340 and certainly don't regret doing so as it's a great looking aircraft. Although I've consulted the manuals, it would be really useful to have a tutorial flight which explains how all the systems work together and takes you through all the procedures for completing a successful flight. Carenado don't seem to provide such a thing, unless I've missed it? If not, I wonder if anyone would be able to recommend a third party tutorial for this purpose? Cheers, mfy1989

I was flying the S340 over the weekend and noticed that at several times during the flight, the airspeed indicator would flip to zero for extended periods. Sometimes the accurate value was shown and I wasn't able to find any way to reliably recreate the issue. Has anyone else seen this?

Hi folks, I'm working on a Loganair cargo version of this aircraft but cant seem to find a way to remove the windows from the model. There are no windows on the textures therefore I cant understand where its pulling the windows from. Thanks Steve.

I've been having problems with the SF340. At times, usually at the most awkward moments, when there is a bit of vibration or turbulence the control panel disseapears and all I can see is countryside down below. A bit awkward when making final approach! The worst is that the GTN750 implemenation is very small and I have set up a EZDOK view to get closer to it to be enable to read it. However when I effectively get closer using EZDOK most times the 750 disapears and there is that old countryside again. It feels as if the bulkheads in the 340 are very thin and that there is nothing in front of the bulkhead, ie no nose. I understand that modellers like to control th…

The panel switcher isn't installed in my LITE model, is that the case on your end as well?

I can't work out if or where a clickspot exists in the VC to bring up the 2D panel for the autopilot select panel (Shift + 2). Any ideas?

Well I can start it, take off, land, taxi to the stand....but for the life of me I cannot stop the props from rotatating. Any pointers gratefully appreciated. Also noticed elapsed timer does not seem to work when the F1 GTN750 is installed.

Hello! Got the Saab not too long ago and I've had some flying through heavy turbulence and thunderstorms (yeah bad weather in Norway...), in any case. Unlike other planes it feels very... _VERY_... sensitive to turbulence, I keep getting a pusher system indication and the plane keeps stalling. Just feels extremely sensitive too it. Have anyone else encountered this? Maybe it's suppose to be like it? Enjoying the plane otherwise!

Unless I'm missing something obvious I cannot get any of the shift+ (number) shortcuts to work since updating to v4.3. I notice there is no S340 update in my account area version since v4.3 came out, but have reinstalled a freshly downloaded version anyway, with no change. Anyone else found this?

First, I'm still a noob when it comes to Flight Computers, my only experience comes from the Q400. That said, how does DTO function in the 340. When I select a way point for DTO, I'm not given a direct heading to that way point. Instead it seems like it simply makes the way point "active" but still navigates based on the previous way point. Am I doing something wrong, or is this another case of Carenado punting off a project as "finished" when it's not?

I'm enjoying the S340 very much; however, there is one issue I can't seem to overcome. Specifically, the altitude selector seems to be 'stuck' on thousands and I can't revert to hundredth selections. So, it's impossible to select 3100; I can only select 3000. Does anyone else have this issue?

I'm not one of those lucky people to have a GTN so I'm stuck with using the FMC. Does anyone know if there a way to cycle through the waypoints that I've programmed and show them on the MFD in the way that you can do with other Carenado aircraft (such as F-50 I understand)? Many thanks

Hi, The FMC on the Carenado SAAB 340 refuses to work. After turning on, it says "LOADING DATA BASE" absolutely nothing else. Please Help! I have contacted Carenado about this but they haven't responded yet (Asked yesterday - as of posting this). I had this problem in v1.1 and I am using v1.2. Thanks, TrainNutter
